CHAPTER 558: CHAPTER 558 - CHAOTIC FIRST MONTH OF THE TERM (PART 2)

After thinking about all the possible reasons on why these people are here all of a sudden and what they wanted from me, I couldn’t help but be curious at least with some of their basic information like their names, age and where these guys actually came from. They all indeed looked good given the quality of men in this world. I also won’t deny that they at least physically match my preferences in men, hence, the curiosity on my part. Their families did do their homework well.

I just want to be clear though that I am simply curious. It is not that I will take any new men in. I have one pregnant guy in my villa and three that are about to give birth by next month then two more about to give birth within the year.

As I flipped through the documents, I made a mental note of their basic information and organized it. The list was quite simple and just looked like this:

Caius Astrantia, 24 years old, general rank, sole heir to the Dukedom of Astrantia, last assignment was in the Northern Camp of Athanoviya Empire (unmarried, no prior engagement, no dating history)

Emil Touminen, 24 years old, colonel rank, second son of a viscount, last assigned to the Southern Camp of Athanoviya Empire (unmarried, previously engaged to a daughter of an earl but dissolved it to chose his military career advancement)

Alves Rosenberg, 23 years old, major rank, first son of an earl, last assigned to the Eastern Camp of Athanoviya Empire (unmarried, no prior engagement, dated three women from different noble families but broke up with them when wedding plans were discussed)

Bazil Fiala, 21 years old, captain rank, first son of a viscount, last assigned to the Western Camp of Athanoviya Empire (unmarried, several families sent in engagement requests but he declined all of them, no dating history)

Tyler Rhexia, 23 years old, lieutenant colonel rank, second son of a marquis, last assigned to the Western Camp Empire (unmarried, dated three commoner women for a few months whenever he is on vacation from work then break up with them once it is time to go back to camp)

Yoav Blumstein, 22 years old, colonel rank, only son of a dukedom, last assigned to the capital city of the Volkleyna (unmarried, values his mother more than anybody in this world think all the other women are eyesores and inconveniences, no dating history)

Ryuji Fujimori, 25 years old, rear admiral rank, only son of a Marquis, last assigned to the warstricken borders to the south of the Zaizen Empire (unmarried, no engagement but tried to date 4 different women but due to his stiff and cold personality, the matches did not work)

Looking at the summarized details, I was quite surprised that most of them had dating experiences and even had fiances at a time. What are the odds that Caius who is one of the oldest ones in the group had the least amount of experience in relationships with women?

I thought that was all the information there is in the reports but then I noticed that there are still a few pages left at the back of the report even after I have read through most of the pages. This got me confused and wondering how could there be so much information when I only asked them to check the reason for their enrollment in the academe and some basic details.

As I scanned through the remaining pages, it detailed even their personal and family circumstances (political, financial, etc), even their weakness and secrets in case I need to make a deal with them or scare them to get them out of my life. It even includes any health issues or injury on the bodies of the said soldiers that may probably affect childbirth or just husband duties in general. I couldn’t help but shake my head with an amused smile on my face since Noir is really thorough when doing their investigative type commissions.

Even after knowing quite a lot about each of these seven soldiers, I did not make any efforts or initiated anything to get to know them, speak to them or even look at them even when we pass by each other around the academe. There is no need to be too obvious that I know more about them that I should or the fact that I got them investigated because in a sense, their families had it done on me first.

I simply observed and just waited for them to make their move every single time. I don’t know if it was because they grew up in military families, their unique personalities or maybe because they were just used to being the one approached by women but I quickly noticed that they were all rather awkward and stiff not only when trying to speak to me but to women in general.

They obviously looked like they don’t want to be in the academe for one. They were just going through the motions of the mission and bidding their time till the end of the acadene.

One of the exceptions was Tyler who seemed to be a natural flirt which is also consistent with his favorite hobby whenever he is on vacation from his camp work. Another exception was Yoav who look not only forced but also disgusted most of the time whenever women approach him.

Overall, they feel like a bunch of kids who are forced to come here, their eyes show confusion whenever we meet then I act like I do not see them at all but still pretend to be aloof. Though, in my eyes, I can see that my actions have been eating away at their pride and belief that they were very attractive to women in general.

Now, I am kind of confused as to why in my case, it were my husbands that have approached me first and pestered me to death till I accepted them into my family. So which was really the normal way of courtship in this world? Is it the women chasing the men or the other way around?

Well, for the clueless group, it took them about a week or so before they figured out and accepted amongst themselves that I don’t have any intention to approach them out of my own initiative. They realized that if they do not do anything from their end, this term will end in a blink of an eye and they have never even asked me a single question.

Hence, on the second week, they started finding ways to talk to me no matter how short the exchange is or how trivial the topic was. They do it at least a few times a day before going on their merry ways to their respective classes.

On the other hand, I find it amusing that only Caius was a bit braver and more comfortable in terms of approaching and starting a proper conversation with me. Let’s just attribute it to the fact that we have already interacted for a few weeks in the northern camps.

When the other six soldiers noticed that I wasn’t really averse to people talking to me or approaching me, they started doing it more frequently. They also copied the way the priests tried to befriend me as they thought I was kind anyways.

I usually see them smiling as if celebrating their little wins whenever they successfully talked to me. Tyler was surprisingly not flirty when speaking to me. Yoav was also polite but be treats me like all the other women in the academe.

As they were enjoying their time trying to get my attention and at least hear my voice one in a while, the chaotic first month of the term passed by quickly. As for my plans next month, only the headmaster knew about it as well as Marius and Arthur. As for the others, I wish them luck in finding me once I leave in a few days.

I plan to leave towards the end of the first week of the second month of the term. This is to ensure that Marius can settle in his new home and that I can fetch the other beastmen to the new Lyartaim inside the world tree realm. I want to do both before Makisig, Vaelion and Ross give birth to the children.

As I was pondering about how I would spend the rest of the days during this term, I suddenly realized something that I missed. My deified husbands give birth after 6 months, 3 months too short compared to normal humans thus the need to hide them in a safe place towards the end of their 5th or halfway through their 6th month.

The rest of the mystiques so far, their pregnancies last a year. Now the question is, how about Laerad who is a deity? He got pregnant even before Kayden and Dimitri who were now at about 4 months on the way but I have no idea when he will have the triplets. I think I have to confirm that detail with him soon.
