CHAPTER 559: CHAPTER 559 - SNEAKING OUT WITH MARIUS

The chaotic first month of the term eventually ended. It passed by like a blur, actually.

My days were spent with short classes, treading carefully through a sea of men with questionable intentions and tons of decision making not only for my businesses but also for my growing family. Of course, I am also taking care of my pregnant men, both the ones in the villa and those in other places.

I have not introduced Marius to the others just yet due to the suddenness of the situation but just like I thought of before, I am planning to setup a meet and greet in the near future. I think it will more like look like a general assembly rather than just a meeting though, with all the men and the children.

Well, one step at a time. I have to handle things carefully for now and set which ones need to be prioritized. For now, it would be my three men that are about to give birth and moving the next set of beastmen to the new world tree realm.

Other priorities would include talking to Laerad about the length of his pregnancy and checking on the children inside the room of beginnings. I would also need to consult my parents about how to approach the remaining race and the most prideful of all, the dragons.

As the first week of the new month started, I focused mostly on preparing for my departure from Hoffen City by completing any back logs on the documents I need to sign for the businesses, answering the contracted number of questions from the Magic Tower and even taking some alchemy material gathering tasks from the adventurer’s hall. It was kind of hard to do all these since I have to do it secretly from prying eyes.

I do not want to alarm the military guys and the church guys about my plans of leaving. They may have thought that I do not notice all the shady things that they have been doing in the background but I have long noticed that they were watching my every move.

As to how they were able to keep tabs on me, I have noticed that they have hired people to watch my villa inside the academe as well as follow me around Hoffen City to check the places I go to, the things I do whenever I am outside the academe as well as the people I meet and talk to.

As to the reason they were doing all of this, it was not because they were afraid that I will suddenly disappear. All their efforts were made to create a chance to meet me "coincidentally" in some place.

This tactic has honestly gotten old. I have seen this done in many creepy thriller and psycho stalker movies in my previous world. If I was a normal human, I would definitely be bothered but it is not like I can’t hide from them, I just never cared.

Although we are all cordial on the surface, I was quite firm with drawing a line between them as I gave them the label that they so eagerly wanted. The labels may not just be the one that they wanted though as they can only stay as my acquaintances, classmates and friends, nothing else.

This invisible line I have placed between us all has resulted to quite an awkward atmosphere at times though we all decided to not talk about it any further. I was always polite with them anyways so there is really nothing they could complain about how I was treating them.

They should be thinking that this semester is still a long way to go till it ends anyway. Their thoughts might be that they have all the time in the world to do their tactics and plans but too bad, my circumstances will not cooperate with their perceived timeline of events. I guess this will come as their lesson about the negative effects of procrastination.

I am about to leave in two days. I did not enroll in any classes for this month and the next. I don’t have plans on coming back until the second week of the last month of the semester.

They may try to look for me, trusting their wide intelligence network but how can humans find me in the other realm. Once I am out of the academe this time, I’ll see them when I see them.

A day before my departure, I left for a while, making sure that the observers outside would see that I left alone. I believe that they were monitoring my home to see if I suddenly leave with my pregnant man or if I bring any new people in.

I woke up before dawn the next day and woke up Marius up to tell him that I will come back in a bit after moving the next batch of beast men into the new world tree realm. He lazily hummed in reply and went back to sleep. I guess sleep is more of his priority and he trusts that I will come back as I said. This is very different from how unassured he felt before we consummated our union.

As for my other companion, I gave instructions to Arthur that he no longer needs to stay at the attendant’s hall whenever I am away and just live in the villa freely. He looked stunned at first but he happily nodded his head, his countenance brightening up significantly. I guess, being allowed to live in my villa throughout the remaining year was a big deal for him more than I thought it was.

Instead of walking out the villa, I chose to teleport directly to Marahuyo so I can do my errands quickly. I have already sent an earlier advise about today’s move so it went smoothly and quickly.

Most of the beast men were moved to the new world tree realm. As per previous meetings, each tribe was given the freedom to choose their own village or community name. I guess "Lyartaim" is kind of out of the list of choices, given that they have a lot of not-so-nice memories in the place before.

As for my chosen men (the remaining 11), they chose to stay in Marahuyo to help me manage the sanctuary. They volunteered to guide new citizens until the time that they had no choice but to move. At that point, they looked at me meaningfully for some reason.

I was busy teleporting the rest of the beast men so I simply agreed with their decision. I belatedly realized that those meaningfully glances actually mean that they would only move out once they were also with my child just like Marius. I think I was tricked into agreeing with that arrangement.

The total time it took from preparation, teleportation and making sure they are assigned to their respective new homes did not even take 4 hours. With Laerad’s help, we gave them he same talk regarding the rent and keeping the realm clean and habitable. It also include dos and don’ts unless they want to be kicked out permanently.

Since my work finished early, I also visited Eieneos to see my parents, Ioannis, Iosef and Ianthe. I did a quick talk with my parents regarding the last race and they promised to compile the information I needed. We will talk about it when I come back and have more time to stay inside the realm.

As for my men inside Tadhana, I skipped visiting them for now since I will be with them tomorrow until all three pregnant husbands have given birth anyways. I simply sent in some gifts and left.

I teleported back to Marahuyo afterwards, hid my tracks and then teleported back inside my villa in the academe again. As I checked the time, it was barely 9 in the morning. I showered quickly and returned to bed, hugging the sleepyhead Marius again.

As for Arthur, he made sure to prepare some food and keep it warm on the table. He then went out to complete his academe points tasks again, knowing what it means if he can earn enough points to free himself from his academe contract.

As for Marius and I, we stayed in bed the rest of the day lazily. We only went out to sleep, frolic a bit in the garden but went back right inside afterwards. I felt some beings observing my villa from the outside as they maybe wondering why I haven’t gone out at all or why I am not attending any classes.

Arthur came back to the villa before sunset as he took it upon himself to cook dinner for the household. As for the people outside, after confirming that the last member of my household came back, a few of them left.

The rest of the observers only lessened once it was already in the wee hours of the morning but they still left about 3 people lurking in the shadows. I smiled at this fact and looked at Marius who is currently wide awake, waiting for the moment we will depart.

As for me and Marius, we are wide awake, waiting for the exact time to teleport out of the academe. We will do it once I make the three remaining observers sleep with a simple spell.
