CHAPTER 561: CHAPTER 561 - MINI FAMILY MEETING (PART 1)

We quickly left through teleportation and landed back amidst the sea of flowers. From there, we teleported avain but this time the destination is to my plaza at Eieneos. It was kind of a hassle but it keeps the security separate and secure for each area, a deterrent for intruders and a safeguard for any possible unrest in the future.

As Laerad and I appeared at the plaza, we held hands and immediately started walking leisurely towards the palace. While walking, I asked him the questions that has been bothering me for a while. I asked in a neutral tone, "How long would it take before we can finally meet our children?"

I felt the hand that he was using to hold mine flinch and tighten its grip a bit. Whenever he is like this, I can’t help but wonder if he is thinking on how to lie to me again like when I planted his seed form, thinking that he will come back after a short month. I was honestly very scared at that time for his well-being.

Before he can have any possible thoughts along those lines, I warned, "If you are not going to tell me the full truth, just don’t answer at all."

I clearly heard him gulp with difficulty as his hands started to shake a bit in my grasp. With a nervous voice he replied, "I am actually not sure. This is the most honest answer I can give you as of the moment."

I looked towards his direction slowly and just stared at him wordlessly with a cold face. He started to stutter as he answered, "I have never been pregnant before so... and it is not like I- I have parents to ask about it. From my limited knowledge, I heard that... deities, well not all of them, Umm... They usually enter a deep sleeping state? They do that to focus their entire beings to rear the child in their wombs. I never thought of doing that and I never felt any need or a strong pull to do so I thought I may be an exception to that custom."

The more words that come out from his mouth, the more confused I became. What does he mean by hibernate? Of course, I knew what it meant but I thought those are just for snakes, bears, fish or even seeds until they can sprout at the start of spring.

Laerad seemed to have felt my confusion and that I wasn’t contented with his answer as he added. "Besides... I- I don’t want to leave you again. I want to help you manage the realm. You also devised ways to decrease the amount of energy I need to support the realm so me and the children are doing perfectly fine. I promise!"

I was simply staring at him the whole time while fear can be seen in his eyes. He knew that I was seriously considering what I am going to do with him based on how he answers my questions.

I suddenly stopped walking and asked, "If you match the speed of time between Eieneos and the World Tree Realm, will you expend less energy? Would it help if I increase the rent of each race depending on the number of members they have? Should I pull in those dragons quickly then?"

He looked at me with a stunned expression as he digested the questions I asked one after the other. I stared at him when I did not get an answer and he hurriedly answered, "Ye- Yes, those three things you said can possibly help out in reducing the energy I expend so I can use it to nourish the children instead."

I smiled at him sweetly as I responded, "That’s good. I want the children to be born soon so we can make more." I then giggled after saying those sentences.

I felt Laerad stiffen and inhale deeply then he suddenly flung my hand away grumpily. He then started walking quickly towards the palace. He then said with gritted teeth, "You perverted... Hopeless... Argghh!"

I ran to catch up to him and teased him by saying, "You agreed to having 12 babies with me, right? You still owe me 9 more!"

He shouted back at me, "Shut up!" He tried to sound angry but he was betrayed by the fact that the back of his neck and even the tip of his ears reddened after hearing my reminder.

In less than a minute, we reached the main door of the palace courtesy of Laerad running away from me. I opened the door and shouted, "I’m home! Where is- Oomf!"

Before I could even finish the latter part of what I was about to say, two speedy balls came crashing on my chest like I was attacked by cannons. I instinctively hugged the mischievious duo, my adorable Iosef and Ianthe. I could only shake my head with these children’s choice of favorite activities.

Before I could gently scold them, I heard Ioannis’ shout from the top of the stairs. "You two! Don’t attack your mother like that again! I am going to spank your bottoms!"

Laughter spattered from my mouth uncontrollably as I have never seen Ioannis lose his temper like this. I guess the twins got their mischievousness from me and now my husband is taking the brunt of it all.

Ioannis glared at me and surprised me with a teleportation just a step in front of me. He then grabbed the back collars of the two children and pried them away from my arms. I was still laughing and simply let him do the disciplining.

The twins pouted and tried to find a backer by looking my way but I shook my head immediately. I then whispered to the two, "Your father attends to all your needs most of the time. You have to be clear on who you are more loyal to at this time."

The twins who now looked like they were

almost two years old looked at me with widened eyes and then looked at their father with the same expression. They then looked at each other as if having a small meeting with no words between them. They nodded at each other and it seemed like they have finally made their choice.

They both have decided to cling to their father as they hugged him. They even started rubbing their faces on Ioannis chest as if apologizing. Surprisingly, I heard a soft but crisp pair of voices as Ianthe said, "Sorry, father. Don’t be mad at us." and Iosef followed it with,"We won’t be clumsy anymore or hurt mother."

Even Laerad was surprised that they could now talk as me and him both stared at Ioannis with questioning looks. Ioannis simply said that after they learned how to levitate then teleport, it did not take a month for them to start talking too. Well, there was no way for me to find out about this fact about the children since we always talk telepathically only.

I suddenly remembered how Zion who I had only changed just before he was born could also speak quiet clearly even at a very young age. I believe their bodies just develop quickly because they are well-nourished and have mystique blood in their veins.

I ruffled the twins’ hair with my hands and then stole a kiss from Ioannis’ lips. I then sent a telepathic message to him saying, "Can’t wait for the two year waiting period to end." Then I gave him a playful wink. The effects of my teasing was instant as his face turned red and his mouth opened in surprise.

I then giggled and hopped my way towards the living room’s comfy chairs and sat with no care in the world. My father was running down the stairs like a child as he welcomed me while my mother had a gently smile on her face as she alighted the stairs gracefully. They took their seats across from me since I was already flanked left and right with my two husbands.

I smiled at my parents and told them stories of the places I went to and what I have been doing for the past few months that I was away. I also updated them about my four new husbands (Marius, Claude, Damian and Quintin). My father was quite happy hearing that I already have merfolk children on the way too.

My parents also updated me on my four fiancès whereabouts and the progress of the mission I assigned to them. They also admitted to helping Laerad manage some of his work so he can rest. The rest of their time was spent tending to my growing babies in the room of beginnings and checking on my other pregnant husbands in Tadhana.

As we finally ran out of topics about each others activities, I finally came clean to one

the several main reason of my visit. My sudden change in countenance was easily noticed by the people around me as they turned serious as well.
