CHAPTER 563: CHAPTER 563 - A GAMING CHARACTER’S INTERFACE?

For some reason, the interface of my new helper tool looked like the usual game interface minus the numerically gauged stats, level and experience bars. It started with my basic information and then the list of people who are connected with me one way or another. I closed the interface uickly and then told everyone that I may need more time to study how it works.

I can see the curiosity in the eyes of Laerad and Ioannis as to what I can see inside the interface that my mother made for me but I do not have any plans to share the contents with them. I know that the others won’t see what the interface contains even if I open it right now and it will always stay as a secret between me and my mother. I excused myself from the living room and teleported to my personal office so I will have some privacy as I check the contents of my new helper.

Once seated on my comfy chair, I opened the interface again and couldn’t help but admire how it was made. Mother really has a vivid imagination and can also control her mana very well.

As I went through the list, I realized that my perception was totally wrong. I thought I was not putting effort on my mission that much and that I have to catch up by a lot but looking at it now, I am doing perfectly well for someone who has just started her mission a little over a year ago.

I was actually overwhelmed with the amount of information available though it was already concisely written already. I hid the progress bars and tons of other things for now since there is just too much information to look at that I am starting to get dizzy. The fractions after the names or the tasks should do for me.

I hate being dizzy. It brings back my not so fond memories when I sent here inside a washing machine. (A/N: That was how she felt the entire time.)

Just out of curiosity, I clicked Ioannis’ name which is under the list of deified husbands. Upon clicking, a pop up window appeared with his information including his picture, parents, family history and even his likes and dislikes. It was like a compilation of all the things I knew about him through our talks and observation together with a few more details that should be the work of my mother’s data gathering.

I closed the window and clicked Kayden’s name. I saw the same amount of information about my second husband. Then, I noticed that only confirmed husbands have this option. The others who have not confirmed their relationship with me yet, do not have this pop-up option.

I ended up laughing just as I realized something. This system seems to be more decisive when it comes to labelling my relationship with the men I have met so far. Just like I said before, I do not keep lovers though I failed in avoiding having concubines due to the Athanoviya Marriage Laws.

Since I have a previous agreement and had a general meeting with the men from the beastmen tribe regarding on what our relationships would be moving forward, it seems that it was deemed by this interface as a promise to marry so they were all placed under the tag of "fiancés". I don’t have any complaints with that part of the list since everything should be correct.

The next part of the list says "Love Interests". It is weird that the word "LOVE" was used so easily on this part. I think there is a better term for this. Then just like a miracle, that part of the list changed its heading to "SPECIAL FRIENDS" which coaxed another bout of giggles from me. I guess these men are indeed people I befriended but we did special things that normal friends won’t usually do. (A/N: Yeah. You are not supposed to see them naked or kiss them on the lips, you crazy woman.)

The last part of the lists were tagged as "Other Bonds and Affiliations" but surprisingly, my in-laws and the other family members are not included in the list. My fathers-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparents-in-law, the children from the orphanage and even my brothers-in-law were not included in the list. I guess the interface are very specific to people that I have a possibility of marrying or having children with.

As I looked through the list, my mind became more and more confused as my eyes scanned down. These names I believe aren’t supposed to be there. I understand that the blood demon prince and the fairies indeed have a connection to me whether we all like it or not due to us sharing children in the room of beginnings.

As for the other names, I was quite firm about not accepting them if I remember. I even escaped from Caius’ and Clarence’s sights because I just do not want to deal with them or give them the one thing that they wanted from me.

As for Dongmin, besides knowing him as Uncle Dae Jung’s son and also seeing him once in a while in the adventurer’s hall or helping out at the pharmacy, I barely talked to the guy. We never had the chance to get to know each other, much less talk about anything about being more than friends.

As for Chandler and Wylden, being Richard’s older brothers, they indeed told me their plan of having me as their wife but I shut the idea down. They were like offering me a package deal at the time wherein the three of them brothers will all become my husbands. The idea may have come to light due to many factors but it is not like they couldn’t find their own wives or I need husbands very urgently.

Well, I guess I will just look for other ways to re-arrange the list and make it more convenient to check in the future. As for now, I don’t have any complaints about my mother’s masterpiece.
