CHAPTER 564: CHAPTER 564 - LANDLADY DUTIES

After inspecting the marvelous helper I got from my mother, I left my office to reconvene with them in the living room. My absence did not even take half an hour. I made sure to be ss quick as possible unless I want to make my husbands even more doubtful more than they are already, about all the information that were for my eyes only.

Upon arriving back in the living room, I saw that each one was busy doing their own things to kill time while waiting for me. Ioannis seemed to have spent his time playing with the twins. On the other hand, Laerad was discussing some important things with my parents while rubbing and looking at his bulging stomach lovingly.

The first ones to notice my return were the twins, whom when they saw me going down the staircase leisurely, immediately left their father’s arms through levitation to go to me. They moved really quickly but just before they reach my arms and hit my upper body, they forcibly slowed themselves down, heeding their father’s earlier warning. I simply smiled at the kids dotingly as well as towards everybody. I continued walking towards the group then comfortably sat between my two husbands while carrying the two energetic babies.

I can still see the curious and questioning looks of my two husbands as if they were waiting for me to tell them more about my new helper interface. I made my description as plain and seemingly uninteresting as possible to avoid any further interest and questions about it. I did not say any lies so we are all good but it does not mean I have to tell them every single detail there is as well.

We talked about several other topics for another hour or so before I said my temporary goodbyes to my parents, Ioannis and the twins since I first have to help Laerad with his task first. Our next destination will be the very secure "control room" in the heart of the realm that we previously created together when I was able to take back most of the orbs filled with Laerad’s life essence and mana.

The reason for our quick visit is to check if the energy being provided by the "renters" together with the one coming from him, me, his and the people from Eieneos are efficiently being used. From that room, we will also be able to control the speed of the passage of time in the realm. We plan to make the changes gradually since doing it in one go may disturb the balance in the realm since a week versus ten years would be such a huge decrease.

Currently, a day in the human world is one week in Eieneos while the same amount of time is ten years in the world tree realm. We have previously set it this way so that we can ensure that all the natural resources and life we created in the realm will have time to flourish and propagate before the first "renters" arrive. We had to do this because we started creating this realm from scratch (from nothingness) so it needed a lot if time to develop.

The plan is to do the time speed reduction in phases. The first phase will reduce it by a year every week so this would take a total of 9 weeks. For the second phase, there would be a brief adjustment period where the speed of time will kept at 1 human realm day to 1 year in the world tree realm for one week.

After that, the third phase will then be reducing the speed of time from one year using a week interval again with each time decreasing it by a month thus it will take 11 weeks for this phase. The last step would be to gradually reduce it more from one month to a single week thrice which will be a one week reduction every three days which will means another 9 days will be needed.

With this gradual reduction, it will take 22 weeks and 2 days to be exact to complete the time correction. This will ensure that everything and everyone inside the realm will have enough time to adjust without negative effects to their health and daily lives. At least, I can help him in doing the adjustments every week since I visit him regularly anyways.

Our trip to the central room as usual, also had a certain pattern to it for security reasons. We first need to teleport to the sea of flowers, go inside our little white hut then teleport from there to the control room. It is not hassle-free as we wanted but it is important to keep it this way.

It only took barely a few minutes to reach the control room of the world tree realm. It has been a while since I have seen this place which I personally designed for Laerad’s benefit. I find the design still a bit creepy because it was based off of his memories which showed me these claw like receptacles made of dried wood that were holding these elemental orbs and connecting them to the main body of the world tree.

As I looked to one corner of the room, I realized that I forgot to do something very important! Currently, the mother tree seed I took from the elves and heralds is still here in the control room. I have to plant it soon near the new Freyheimr and have those elves take care of it everyday until it is fully grown.

The next thing I checked is the huge orb in the middle of the room where all the mana paid as rent are kept. It seems that everybody has been paying their rental fees on time which is impressive. I guess threatening them of being kicked out was effective.

I then checked the orb where I placed the mana from Eieneos which was previously just used by me. It is more than half full so we are still good. My parents, the four noble houses’ heirs, Ioannis and even the twins have also started contributing their own mana a few months ago when they found out that I took the task on my own.

I asked Laerad to teach me how to reduce the speed of time and he patiently explained to me that out of all the orbs, I simply have to operate the "samsara" and focusing on using my abilities to control time. He gave me the steps and I memorized them fully by heart. He will still assist on the side but I forbade him in exerting too much of his mana since it should be saved to nourish the triplets instead.

We started the first time adjustment immediately since we have decided upon it together. After making the adjustments, we set of to the different occupied areas of the realm to talk to the inhabitants regarding the changes that will come about in the next few weeks.

Laerad volunteered to take the tole of the one to tell each of the tribes on the sumary about important keypoints on the upcoming changes. As usual, he used his usual cold and "matter-of-factly" tone of voice to tell everyone that he is just letting them know and he doesn’t have time to listen to any complaints or suggestions as of the moment.

Our last stop was Freyheimr where the elf community lived. The usual talk commenced but right afterwards, I asked for a bit more of their time to discuss plans on what to do next and where the mother tree seed will be placed.

Upon hearing the phrase "mother tree", the elves looked amongst themselves for confirmation if they heard it correctly. I explained the truth of how I received the seed and their eyes shone brightly towards me in admiration.

The elves then made sure to decide who will be assigned to take care of the tree once the seed is planted. They assigned the task to the ones who have the right skill sets specifically in farming.

I helped identify the perfect spot to plant the seed. I also treated the soil to enrich it just like how I helped in improving the soil quality around the elderly mother tree. It showed a rare hint of happiness and gratitude after I was done with tweaking the ground.

Upon dropping the seed into the ground I just dug and then putting some soil on top of it, I felt a pulse of mana as I clearly felt the seed take rootalmost instantly. It was as if it has waited this to happen for so long. I felt emotions such as surprise, happiness and excitement from the seed.

I could not help but remember the time when this handsome man beside me was nothing but a shivering and cute seed who couldn’t even talk. We had gone a long way since then and now he has his human form and very pregnant with our babies.

Laerad caught me staring at him and he looked at me with a gentle smile then I poured some water from the mystique lake to complete the first step in growing the Mother Tree.
