CHAPTER 565: CHAPTER 565 - THE TREE IS JEALOUS OF THE FISH

After giving the necessary updates to all the current residents of the world tree realm about the gradual changes in the speed of time, Laerad and I went back to our little white hut amidst the sea of flowers to spend some one on one time over some snacks and refreshments. We chose our favorite spot by the gazebo, overseeing the lake and the huge garden he made.

Recently, Laerad seemed to have laid low by a lot in terms of demanding intimacy from me. I would like to say that maybe it was just the his hormones messing up with him but I am not sure if that situation is even applicable to deities. I guess we can just say that it is just one of his mood swings then.

Whenever we meet, he doesn’t avoid me but he opts for simple forms of intimacy like holding hands, tight hugs, kisses or simply just sitting next to each other in silence. Sometimes I particularly feel like he is avoiding any activity that would require him to remove his clothes but that may just be my assumption.

I don’t mind if we only do these simple things since I was thinking that he may be feeling uncomfortable doing anything more than those, being pregnant with triplets and all. He doesn’t seem gloomy or grumpy about it so we are perfectly fine just the way it is.

While seated under the shade of the gazebo, we enjoyed the view of the lake, the colorful field of flowers, the refreshing scent in the air and the soft breeze caressing our skin. It was the type of silence and idleness that was not awkward at all but instead it brings about peace and contentment.

After we have finished the snacks and refreshments, I finally asked Laerad about the other tasks that he needs to do so I can help him out. As I was speaking, I lifted my bottom from the chair to stand up so we can go to the next place.

Out of the blue, he asked me in a cold manner, "Why are you standing up? Don’t want to stay here anymore? Want to go back to your new fish boy?"

I did say that we are doing fine and he has not been grumpy recently. Well, I take it back right now.

I slowly sat back down while breathing in deeply to control my emotions and my facial expression. I replied with a neutral tone, "I am asking what else do we have to do after this since I want to help you. It is rare that I can take my time to stay here and do many things the kingdom and the realm. Where in that sentence did I mention going back to anybody in particular? And by the way, the fish boy you are pertaining to has a name. It is Marius."

Laerad chuckled coldly then asked, "So, is he your new favorite? Or maybe it was someone else? That meeting you had in Marahuyo had very interesting attendees."

I guess, he feels like fighting today but I am too lazy to go with his flow.

smiled at him stood up then started walking out of the gazebo without giving him any answer. I then said while leaving, "I guess I have overstayed my welcome. You can just tell me to leave if you do not want to be with me, you know? Thank you for the food. I’ll just go back to my palace then. See you around."

I heard Laerad’s soft gasp which may be surprise with my answer or even surprise that I did not answer back the way he expected I would. He started walking towards the direction I was going to, closely following me. With gritted teeth he asked, "What? Are you really leaving? Don’t you want to be with me anymore? Is it because I don’t do those things with you, huh?"

I suddenly stopped talking causing Laerad to bump me on my back. I then suddenly turned around then grabbed Laerad by the back of his head. His eyes widened as he realized that I was pulling his face towards mine. He did not do anything to stop it from happening though so we ended up having a fiery kiss for several seconds. His body stiffened and be ended up clinging on to my clothes to keep his balance.

I eventually released his lips then leaned down to hug his waist this time. I gave three noisy smooches to greet my babies inside his belly as well so everyone can get kisses. I closed my eyes to communicate with them and it was funny how they sold off their father quite easily.

They told me through their thoughts that Laerad is feeling insecure about his body especially now that his baby bump is quite obvious. This is his main reason for avoiding further intimacy with me. It was not because he was in pain or feeling uncomfortable doing it but he simply does not want to be seen by me with when he considers himself to be on an ugly state. (A/N: This deity really likes beautiful stuff and his standards apply even to himself too.)

Laerad stayed quiet because he knew I was communicating with the energetic trio. When I opened my eyes and looked up, I saw him staring at me as if waiting for me to tell him about my short conversation with the kids. I smiled, stood up, turned around and started walking back to the house again without telling him anything.

I heard another gasp behind me and quick footsteps that were following me as well. It is not like he can run but that’s for him. For me, I surely can... SO I ran! As he saw that I started running, he screamed for me to stop, even threatening with punishments. As for my answer, of course, it was simply loud laughter.

It is not that I have any plans of leaving him today but I just want to tease him a bit because he is being grumpy with me all of a sudden. When he finally caught up with me and reached the inside of the house using the fastest speed he deemed was safe for him, he saw me sitting comfortably on the sofa. His face has a big scowl while I have a relaxed smile on my face.

I honestly really want to laugh again. It was funny how he did not even think of teleporting instead of brisk walking because he was too angry to think of more efficient options.

He walked with loud and heavy steps and then he slumped on the spot next to me. I did not look at him and just continued reading some documents that were left unattended inside my storage space.

I can see him staring at me with intense focus from my peripheral vision so I could not help but chuckle again. I slowly turned my head and look at him. As expected, he was scowling as if on a kiddie tantrum.

I lifted one of my eyebrows as if asking him what’s up and he murmured, "What did you and the babies talked about?"

I whispered, "They said that you are calling yourself ugly which is why you don’t want to be with me in bed." His eyed widened at how direct my answer was and he ended up looking down on his stomach after.

I then told him that he should avoid negative thoughts since the babies are intelligent and they understand things way better than other kids their age. Finally, I told him that he is as cute and adorable as the first time I saw his seed form at the same time that he was also as handsome and dashing as I first saw your adult human form.

With the sudden praise from me, Laerad’s face turned red then he hurriedly looked away shyly but his hand found a way to hold mine tightly in response. I know he is already feeling shy but I couldn’t help but tease him a bit more as I leaned towards him and whispered, "Hey, husband. Let’s sleep together. I haven’t seen and tasted your gorgeous body for a long time."

Laerad refused to look at me but his blush has spread to his ears and his neck. He spoke very softly but I still heard it quite clearly as he said, "Okay". That is the answer I have been waiting for.

Since I received my permission, I teleported the both of us to the bedroom then carried my husband to the bathroom. I want to first have a long luxurious bath with him since we haven’t done it for a while.

He might have been thinking that we will only do it for a bit but I have other plans because assuring an insecure husband takes some time. Therefore, I am staying with Laerad until Makisig is about to give birth. That may take about a week or more so it is just perfect. It is just that Laerad doesn’t know about this naughty plan of mine just yet.
