CHAPTER 578: CHAPTER 578 - A SHORT BREAK IN BETWEEN BIRTHS (PART 1)

Makisig was able to recover his strength quite quickly within the next 24 hours after Sinag and Mithi were born. He started eating like he was starved for a week but at the same time, for some reason, I noticed that the mana capacity inside his body increased. It was now almost double of a normal giant’s mana limits.

Though I already noticed it, I did not tell my husband about it immediately since I am not sure if it was a temporary or a permanent thing. The best people to ask would be my parents so I sent a telepathic inquiry to my mother asking about this peculiar situation and she immediately appeared in Tadhana to check on Makisig.

Once my mother appeared, my husbands hurriedly went out of their homes, even the two heavily pregnant ones so as to greet her formally. Well, I guess the respect and fear of one’s in-laws is shared in any world.

My mother, wanting to show that she is fair to everyone checked on Makisig first and gave me a telepathic message that we will talk about it in a bit. She then proceeded on checking the bodies of the other four pregnant husbands as well.

After she has finished all the check-ups, she pulled me to one side and cast a soundproofing barrier to tell me her findings. From what my mother have observed, the reason why Makisig’s mana capacity expanded was due to his body’s constant need to sustain our childre inside his by womb. She also confirmed that the effects are permanent and she honestly told me that this is the first time this has ever happened in the history of Eieneos.

As I pondered about it, all my children are indeed loved by mana because of my bloodline. Even my first set of twins started teleporting and levitating all of a sudden even though they weren’t even a year old. We can also communicate clearly through telepathy though their vocal chords and speech aren’t that fully developed yet to speak clearly.

It seems that as the babies grew inside their fathers’ wombs, their existence alone and the huge amount of mana they needed to develop also changed their father’s constitution in the process. My mother assured me that it is not detrimental for Makisig’s and any of the husbands’ heath so it is alright for me.

Here I thought that the reason that Ioannis is now starting to be adept with the use of magic and his suddenly increased mana deposits was inly due to his deification. It seems like it should be brought about by another factor which is getting pregnant with my cute babies as well.

Even though Makisig has already recovered, I spent one more day with him to ensure that he and the children are doing well. I would have to stay with him longer but as the situation calls for it, I needed to move to another house. It is now time to spend my evenings assisting Vaelion in his home as he is the next one scheduled to give birth.

The next evening after I left Makisig’s home, I made my way and knocked on to Vaelion’s door. As I did so, I can hear the loud shuffling of hurried footsteps. I sighed as I do not understand why these pregnant men like running around or moving too abruptly a lot.

While I am having these thoughts in my head, the door of the house swung open with force. The first thing that welcomed me was Vaelion’s flushed and smiling face was the one that welcomed me. I looked at him and smiled back but couldn’t help but tell him to avoid running around since it is dangerous for both him and the children. He looked at me in surprise but still nodded in agreement, explaining that he just forget due to being too excited.

As I was staying in Vaelion’s home, I got to think about who I needed to call on to as a guide for his upcoming childbirth. My father-in-law, opted to live in the normal elven community since he said that married elves should live independently from their parents. This is an emergency though so I will have to call him back this time.

As for Reiss who is a herald, he doesn’t have parents so I might need to call Yoffir who is the eldest being in Freyheimr that I know of as the childbirth guide. I can also ask Reiss if he prefers somebody else when it is his turn to give birth too.

The evening passed by uneventfully with just me hugging Vaelion to sleep throughout the night. Life in Tadhana was simple. Each husband spend their days in peace and harmony. Each of them have also found something to do in their spare time to avoid boredom.

Makisig used to make an pottery like plates, bowls, glasses and other home items made from clay which he uses as an exercise for his strength. Now that he has the twins, I don’t think there will ever be a dull or quiet day for him though his time to do his pottery would surely decrease.

Vaelion on the other hand, surprisingly opted for a very calming activity which was weaving. He even processes the threads and the yarns that he uses from plant fibers, spider thread and cocoons of silkworms then he makes blankets, rugs, table cloths and even curtains.

Reiss surprisingly liked gardening. He started growing his own vegetables and colorful flowers in the yard he fervently requested to be assigned around his home.

Marius who I recently discovered was a sweet treats lover have started a new hobby of making jam. He loved it, the first time he tasted some inside my villa in Marahuyo He had the idea of doing so when he saw the fruit bearing trees inside Tadhana. I even brought him a sack of sugar when I came back as per his request.
