CHAPTER 581: CHAPTER 581 - THE MYSTERY OF THE BABY TELEPORTATIONS

Once I knew that the newborn twins and their father are already settled in, I had no choice but to leave for a brief amount of time. I settled the twins with Makisig first and when they are not fussy anymore, I had to tend to the other set of twins.

I decided to return Iosef and Ianthe to their father in Eieneos as quickly as possible. When I appeared in the middle of the living room of the palace, I saw Ioannis calmly drinking tea and eating snacks. He definitely does not look like a father who is looking for his missing children.

When the twins saw Ioannis, they levitated and left my arms to go to their father while mumbling, "Da... Da..." repeatedly. He raised his head and looked at me while opening his arms to welcome the twins back.

He inhaled deeply and asked, "I did not know that the children can communicate clearly through telepathy. Are you able to talk to them like that from the start?"

Instead of answering him immediately, I asked a question in return, "You don’t look worried about the whereabouts of these two. What exactly did they tell you before they left?"

Ioannis looked a little annoyed since I did not respond to his question but he still answered mine first as he said, "They told me that their baby elf siblings need help to be born and they have to go where you are. They did not wait for me to give them permission and just disappeared."

I nodded my head in understanding and telepathically sent a message to the twins that next time, no matter how urgent, they have to wait for their father to say "Yes" before they leave. I assured them that I will be able to handle everything else until they could arrive to help.

The twins looked back towards my direction at the same time and stared at me. They nodded reluctantly then looked away and buried their face on Ioannis’ chest. Ioannis was observing and then his eyes turned to a glare.

I sighed and then answered, "I scolded them to not leave without your permission. As for talking to them from the start, that should be a "yes" since I have been talking with them from the time they formed in your womb."

Ioannis’ eyes widened and he was speechless. Before he could say something, I told him to ask my parents to teach him telepathy then I bid my goodbyes since I still have to take care of Vaelion who just gave birth. I winked at him and teleported away.

I reappeared inside the room I shared with Vaelion and the children. I laid next to him and hugged him while he was asleep. My parents should be able to handle the feeding of the twins.

While laying on the bed, I telepathically talked to Iosef, Ianthe, Sinag and Mithi again. I asked them why they found the need to go where their baby siblings are then they even started fussing and teleporting which indeed surprised me.

Iosef and Ianthe then started explaining that their baby siblings were asking for help that they wanted to get out since it is suffocating and their father is getting hurt. Based on how they said it, it was like responding to an SOS or distress call.

I nodded my head and thanked the kids but still asked them another question about how exactly were they able to help their baby siblings. Sinag and Mithi though young were the next ones to respond. Their answer was simply that they shared mana and words of comfort through telepathy.

I guess being blessed by mana and having developed quicker compared to other infants their age, my babies are more sensitive to the beings that share the same bloodline as them, specifically their siblings. I thanked my two sets of twins again for helping out and told them that I appreciate them caring for their siblings.

Finally getting the answers I needed, I bid goodbye to my babies and told them to stay obedient with their fathers so as not to tire them out too much. The children readily agreed and our communication was temporarily cut.

I closed my eyes and slept next to Vaelion till the soleia is high up in the sky. When I opened my eyes, Vaelion was already awake and staring at me. He must have waited for me to wake up.

When he saw that I was staring back at him, his face turned red almost instantly. I found him cute so I gave him a quick kiss on the lips. He then hugged me tight and then he murmured, "Thank you" a few times.

I tapped his back and the only thing I can answer is "You did amazing" for all his efforts in bringing the children to term, giving birth to them and also, staying alive after everything that has happened. I feel him nod his head while nuzzling on my shoulder.

After his emotions have calmed down a bit, I assisted him on getting off the bed since he wanted to check on the babies. Unlike Makisig that let the children sleep, Vaelion was too excited to hug the children so he carried them gently to avoid waking them up.

After getting the sleeping elf babies in his arms, he even gave each child a kiss on the forehead. He then excitedly looked up and smiled sweetly at me. He then asked me to give the babies a kiss too.

I dotingly did what he requested and then another magical thing happened in front of my eyes. The two elf babies were enveloped with a mix of green and golden light which was blindingly bright for a few seconds before the light died down.

I hurriedly checked on the children when the light died down and saw Vaelion crying with a smile on his face. I saw a small golden leaf tattoo in the middle of his forehead. The babies also have the same symbol although they were much smaller since their faces are still tiny.

As I approached, Vaelion looked at me with a wide smile but teary eyes as he said, "I have chosen their names, wife. The little boy is Nelaros which means warmth, light and vitality. The little girl is Melian which means "dear gift"."
