Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!
Chapter 583 - Unrest in the Academe of Gnosis
CHAPTER 583: CHAPTER 583 - UNREST IN THE ACADEME OF GNOSIS
It has been already three days since Luna left the walls of the academe in secret, bringing Marius with him. As per instructions, Arthur continued to come home to the villa, masking the fact that the owner of the home was not around.
The first day passed uneventfully without anyone noticing her absence. They simply thought that she doesn’t have any classes scheduled for the day. She also has a handsome new husband at home so that should be more than enough reason for her not to come out.
Come the next day, her face is still not seen in any class, corridor or shared public space inside the academe. As expected, two men who seemed to fall on the "desperate for Luna’s acceptance" category noticed it first.
Clarence used the idea of numbers and instructed all the priests under his leadership to search every inch of the academe and also to ask around for anybody that could have seen Luna. On the other hand, Caius went to the students’ registration office to confirm Luna’s class schedule for the current term.
The two men spent the day using their own methods to find the woman that they fancy but both their efforts ended up with nothing. These two coincidentally met at the fountain in the middle of the academe grounds, Clarence who was looking confused and Caius who looked annoyed and angry.
Their eyes met and they saw the weariness from each others’ eyes. Caius uncharacteristically was the one who asked a question first, "Did you find her whereabouts?"
Clarence looked stunned at the sudden question since you can’t even consider the two of them as acquaintances. He still answered with a shake of his head and asked the same question back to the other man.
Caius sighed in exasperation and clicked his tongue as he answered, "She did not enroll for any class this week. I am not sure if she enrolled to any for the following ones."
Clarence listened intently to his answer and smiled helplessly. He murmured, "She must have left the academe with that gorgeous man that have been seen staying at her villa."
Caius clicked his tongue once again and started walking away briskly from Clarence wordlessly. He went straight to the headmaster’s office for answers. He can’t accept that he came all the way to this academe for nothing.
He continued walking briskly till he reached the headmaster’s office as if addressing an urgent mission. He did not even bother to knock and just opened the door wide. His loud and deep voice echoed in the room as he asked, "Where is she?!"
The grandmaster looked up slowly with a nonchalant face and simply stared at Caius. He is no longer surprised when someone barges at his door since a certain someone also has the hobby of appearing in his office through teleportation before. She already stopped doing it but it doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future so he has trained himself to not be bothered by such things anymore.
As his eyes landed on Caius, Grandmaster Freidrick asked, "Which "she" are you pertaining to?"
Caius replied in an irritated tone, "There is only one SHE in the academe that I am concerned about."
The grandmaster guiltily placed his chin on his clasped hands as he stared at Caius in a serious manner. He decided to give the lie that Luna suggested to him since she knew from the start that this day will come.
He then told Caius, "She told me only a day before her departure that she had to leave for her hometown since she has three husbands that are about to give birth. They are scheduled to do so with only one week apart. She promised to come back after a month or so."
Caius scoffed and replied in an irritated tone, "So are you telling me that I made a wasted trip? I came here for her and just after barely a month, she left the academe? Are you expecting me to enroll for another semester then?"
Grandmaster Freidrick looked at Caius and responded, "That is up to you. I am only telling you the reason why she is not here. If you want her, you know the answer to your question."
Caius clicked his tongue and angrily left the grandmaster’s office without responding. He made heavy steps towards the villa that was reserved for him in the academe. He slumped on the couch in the living room and did not even bother to turn on any of the lights. He just started thinking about what he would do next in the dark.
--------------
Earlier, when Caius suddenly left the area of the fountain. Clarence got curious and followed him from afar to see what he was up to. He then saw him enter the academe grandmaster’s office.
He stayed a bit far away and waited for him to exit the office. It did not take long, just barely 10 minutes when Caius angrily left the room.
Once he was far away, Clarence also knocked on the grandmaster’s office to have an audience. When he heard the grandmaster’s voice that was letting him in, he slowly opened the door and walked towards the front of a huge table where the old man was.
Grandmaster Freidrick looked up slowly and when he saw who it was, he sighed heavily. Even before Clarence could ask a question, he already spoke, "You most likely have the same reason as the previous visitor. Luna is not here, she will be back after a month or so. She has to help three of her husbands to give birth. They were due only one week apart so she is busy."
Clarence eyes’ widened at the dump of information that the grandmaster has given him. What caught his attention though was the phrases "not here", "three pregnant husbands" and "in a month or so".
This is already his second term in the academe just to try to get close to the saintess. He was doing this on his own free will instead or doing other church-related work since he has to take care of the newbie priests sent for this mission as well.
With this information in hand, he definitely has to send an urgent letter to the pope to update him about the saintess. The pope a.k.a. his grandfather has already set his eyes on the saintess to be not only his grandson’s partner but also that of the templars of the church.
