CHAPTER 594: CHAPTER 594 - EMERGENCY MEETING AT VLAELMUNDR (PART 2)

The little chitchat between Ailstren and Zeldaryn was cut short when another dragon came to open the door to the meeting room. It was the leader of the red dragons named Vaernar. He was a few centuries older than the other two. He was about the same age as Zeldaryn’s oldest brother.

Ailstren could only sigh at the fact that out of all the leaders, it has to be this difficult one that arrived first. Zeldaryn and Vaernar never got along well despite Vaernar and Zeldaryn’s oldest brother being friends. During their interactions, it is obvious though that it was mostly Vaernar hating Zeldaryn while the latter was just being indifferent of it all making the former pissed to no end then the cycle continues.

As for Vaernar’s issue with Zeldaryn, the red dragon leader just likes to meddle in other family’s business. He first and foremost, hated the fact that the patriarch of the silver dragons chose to pass the leadership position to the youngest son instead of the oldest who was his friend. There were other reasons like looks, intelligence, popularity with women, charm and number of friends. Vaernar sees Zeldaryn as a rival but the feeling was not mutual for the silver dragon.

Honestly, in Alstein’s opinion, Vaernar does not have anything to do with another family’s succession rights or whoever gets what position. Besides, he will never understand the way of the silver dragons as he is the sole heir of the main branch of his red dragon family while the silver dragons were blessed with four offsprings.

From the start, the two families have very different circumstances. Vaernar plainly just wants to be a nuisance to others and yo Zeldaryn in particular.

Vaernar entered the doors then started roaming his eyes around and immediately saw that there were only two people inside the room. He clicked his tongue and murmured under his breath which was still loud enough for the other people in the room to hear, "Just the clown and the kid."

It is not the first time Alstein heard such snide remarks from this guy or anybody else for that matter so he did not give him the benefit of any negative reaction. Alstein simply told him nonchalantly that they are still missing several other attendees so they needed to wait for now. After saying this, the whole room became awkwardly quiet.

As for Zeldaryn, he just closed his eyes as if in meditation, waiting patiently and quietly for the others to arrive. There was no reaction from him too whatsoever about the previous snide remarks and he did not even glance at the obnoxious speaker.

Being ignored angered Vaernar the quickest and Zeldaryn knew it all too well. The silver dragon leader might be quiet but that doesn’t mean he is submissive or a doormat.

Don’t get fooled by his silence or calmness. That guy is also quite petty and vengeful when he feels like it. I am quite sure Zeldaryn ignored the other party on purpose to anger them. He knows what to do to get even.

He might be the youngest out of all the leaders but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t capable. He won’t get the leadership position out of the four children of their family’s main branch if he was a weakling. His father seemed to have trained him since he was a dragonling as if he already made up his mind to pass his leadership position to him once he came of age.

Vaernar was successfully pissed off as he strode inside the room with large strides then sat his bottom on the chair right across from Zeldaryn. He sat so hard that the chair creaked and the table in the middle of the room shook quite a bit. He stared unblinkingly at Zeldaryn who was as calm as a cucumber, until his eyes turned red.

The tension was eased a bit at the arrival of the other leaders and representatives, who seemingly had a separate meeting of their own as they arrived at the same time. It seems like the discussion later are goiing to be inderns

The ones that arrived are Thaletraf, the black dragon leader, Helrethir, the green dragon leader, Drestharen, the golden dragon leader and Celzikris, the representative of the blue dragon leader, the proxy of his father.

They all chose their seats around the table and finally, it was time to start the meeting as all the attendees have arrived. There was a few seconds of silence before Alstein officially started the meeting by directly mentioning the main reason that he called for this gathering.

Alstein started by saying, "I know nobody believes me but the heir of Eieneos exists and has made her move. After the last three instances of the familiar mana surge, I focused more on checking her affiliations, soul connections and whereabouts. As I dug more information and what I found out was quite interesting."

Vaernar made another snide remark as he said, "Is this based on those visions again or do you have evidence this time? I really don’t care much about what your dreams have in them whether you had them while you are awake or asleep."

The oldest of the elders Helrethir asked, "Judging from what you said, you took time to confirm the information, am I correct? It was a specific divination. It focuses all your abilities to know about only one being."

Alstein smiled meaningfully and simply nodded his head firmly. Celzikris who was also a friend of Alstein and Zeldaryn interjected, "Why do you have to use that? The backlash of your ability is the worst when you use that one."

Alstein shook his head and answered, "To answer Elder Helrethir, YES. The information has been confirmed. Though I still cannot pinpoint her exact location for some reason. To answer representative Celzikris, I am fine. I rarely use the ability so I only need a few days of rest to get back to tip top shape."

Thaletraf was the next one to comment, "It would be impossible to pinpoint the heir since whether we accept it or not, she had stronger mana abilities than us dragons. She has all the abilities needed to hide from us as long as she needed to."

Drestharen was the last one to speak as he asked, "So what is this interesting thing you found out? Shouldn’t we focus more on what we are going to do to get connected with her?"

Vaernar was the last one to speak, "Go ahead and state the details, clown. I want to hear what you discovered."
