CHAPTER 595: CHAPTER 595 - EMERGENCY MEETING AT VLAELMUNDR (PART 3)

Alstein looked at Vaernar with a cold face for a few seconds then towards the others. He then said, "Contrary to what you thought, that the heir of Eieneos hated everybody else in this world as traitors, she has had several affiliations already since the time she appeared. As for the term affiliation, we can say that it may be husbands, concubines, lovers, confidants or something like that."

Celzikris, suddenly showing a lot of interest in the topic at hand, asked in a gossipy manner, "You mean she is fine with having relationships with men from any race? Does that mean she doesn’t think of us as traitors then? Or perhaps, has she forgiven the transgressions of the previous members of the races?"

Alstein looked at Celzikris with furrowed brows. The answer to these questions based on his visions are a bit vague and he does not want to give false hopes to his friend or to anyone for that matter.

Alstein eventually answered, "I am not sure about what she thinks of this world and everyone living in it or about us dragons specifically. As for her affiliations, she seemed to not be picky but for some reason, I believe she is doing it on purpose. She even seems to be collecting? As if she’s saying to everybody that all the decisions are in her hands, that she does not favor one over the other and of course, she only takes in the ones she liked."

Helrethir then asked the question that was on everybody’s minds, "What does this mean for us then from here on? What are the chances that she will cooperate with our race?"

Alstein replied, "It means that she might have a conversation or more of a negotiation with us. She may choose someone to have a dragonling with. The question is if she would extend the offer to all dragon families. It is possible she would only choose a few or maybe just one that she likes the most. "

Thaletraf then asked in a somewhat annoyed tone, "You said she wanted to show that she did not favor one over the other so why would she only consider having a dragonling for one of the families alone?"

Alstein then replied, "Based on my visions of her past and present actions as well as the possibilities for her future, she is quite free-spirited. She does whatever she wants whenever she feels like it. She only keeps men that she prefers, likes or thinks are interesting enough. She does not seem to care much about which race they are from. Her choices were quite varied, I must say."

Drestharen asked, "Well, we should work with whatever we have or what she is willing to offer us. It will definitely be a negotiation instead of a conversation. It is not like we are in any position to demand things from her. We just have to present to her all the unmated dragons that are of age and ready to be mated, hoping that she would be interested in more than one of them."

The other elders also nodded their heads and agreed to this suggestion. Some even said that just in case, they can also include dragons that lost their mates for some reason or those that were rejected by their chosen mates because they could lay an egg. They were sure that the heir would have a way to help them out to have an offspring.

The more options that are presented and the more varied the options that was given to her, the more likely that the heir of Eieneos will find a man that she fancies. They won’t lose anything with this and even have the chance to gain more in the future.

Alstein nodded his head and replied with some amusement in his voice, "Well, that can be one way to go about the situation we are in but would she even consider stepping foot here in Vlaelmundr? And another thing, some unmated dragons might not agree to being presented like a piece of commodity. You forgot that we are all made of 100% pride. As for me, I’m unmated so count me in on this. I am the only one left of my kind and I need my cute dragonlings to accompany me."

Celzikris chuckled at Alstein’s last statement and added his own, "I am unmated as well so count me in. I don’t mind sharing a wife with you, my friend. On the other hand, if I get chosen, I will be of some use to my father. I am not really included in the line of succession with two siblings older than me. My remaining use would be just to pop out some dragonlings instead to continue our bloodline."

After Celzikris’ last statement, him and Alstein started chuckling together as if what their facing isn’t a crisis. On the other side, the quiet Zeldaryn also had an amused smile on his face which rarely happens as he looked at each of his friends.

After that he just said nonchalantly as his input to the meeting, "Count me in too." This statement surprised everybody around the table since this man is known to be uninterested in everything else but his work as the new leader of the silver dragon family.

Everybody’ thoughts were: Was he actually finally thinking of mating and having dragonlings of his own?? Is he perhaps interested in the heir of Eieneos?

Out of all the unmated dragons in Vlaelmundr, Zeldaryn is the most envied. It was not because he was already a leader at his young age but because he had the most freedom to do whatever he wanted and was never pressured about having a mate or an offspring.

Having two older brothers and one older sister whom all have found their mates, their family does not have any reason to force him to marry or have dragonlings if he doesn’t feel like it. His siblings should be healthy enough to do the job. As for him, he just to manage the affairs of the family as the leader.

Zeldaryn looked at each person around the table with one of his eyebrows raised. He couldn’t help but ask himself, Why are they even looking at me like I said something unusual? I am unmated and of age so shouldn’t I have equal opportunities at this.

Ignoring their surprised reactions, he became silent again. Besides, he already sent his most treasured scale to her. It was just that nobody in Vlaelmundr knew that he had already made his first move.
