CHAPTER 602: CHAPTER 602 - SHOULDN’T I BE REWARDED? (PART 1)

I was honestly quite surprised to hear this latest update from Arthur. When I first gave him that challenge, it was something that I thought he would never accomplish even if my two years here in the academe is over. I did kind of gave it to him as some sort of a mocking or spiting act due to how much I was annoyed of him before.

Who would have thought that we ended up being in a harmonious relationship up to the point that I have decided to bring him with me when I graduate no matter what. I even considered paying off any amount that he could not cover theough his own points just to make sure I can take him out of the academe.

I guess he was the overachiever type as he even met the amount of points he needed to free himself just a little over 2 terms before I graduated. Now, he is looking at me like a puppy who wanted to be praised.

I tapped his head and ruffled his hair like a kid that did well in school. His eyes widened then he pouted like he was unhappy with my chisen method of praising him.

He scoffed at mygesture and then turned around instead, avoiding my hand. Shortly, he started preparing dinner for the both of us with occasional thuds as if he is having a tantrum.

After the meal, I helped him clean up the dining area and the kitchen then we both went on our own merry ways to our respective rooms. I haven’t even laid on my bed for half an hour when I got a telepathic message from Void that he is going to arrive in a bit to give me the information I needed about the dragons.

I sighed and sat back up from my bed and started walking towards the main door of the villa. Though Void already have access on the gates and the main door of the villa, he is the type of man that just wanted to feel special by being welcome inside a place like the prince he is. I chuckled at how I know him so well and how I immediately understood that he wanted me to open the door wide to let him in.

The noise of me walking and opening the door accidentally woke up Arthur who peeked out of his room to see where the sound came from in the dead of night. As I opened the door, what welcomed me was a man who did not even bother to put on a disguise to hide his gorgeous face. He did not even care to wear something less scandalous and a bit normal. He even has his signature naughty smirk on his face.

I couldn’t help but roam my eyes from his face then slowly downwards to his upper body. My eyes finally stopped on that bulge that was quite obvious through his thin and slightly sheer clothing. I then heard him chuckle as he murmured, "My future wife, you haven’t greeted me yet but you are already feeding me?"

I smiled back at him and then grabbed Void by the collar to quickly pull him inside the villa. I closed the door behind me before some of the gossipy neighbors see that I had a late at night visitor especially one that is dressed provocatively. I had already had enough troubles when I brought Marius here before with all those hungry women giving him lewd stares.

Arthur went out of his room when he noticed that there was a late night visitor. Being polite and trained as he is, he went straight to the kitchen to prepare some snacks and refreshments then placed it on the table.

Void was following Arthur’s every move as he walked across the living room, to the kitchen and then when he placed the food on the table. Arthur looked at Void for a few seconds but quickly turned away, not bothering to say anything. He just went back in his room to sleep.

When Arthur was gone, Void looked at me wordlessly and then after a few seconds, he scoffed and said, "Why do you always end up picking the feisty ones?" I looked at him with a raised eyebrow and asked, "What do you even mean? Are you talking about Arthur?"

Void rolled his eyes on me and replied, "Yeah? And not just him too. Every single human you picked are all the same. Well, you really like dominating feisty ones, I guess."

I looked at him with knowing eyes but did not reply. He looked at me with wide eyes and said, "Stop staring at me like that! I can almost hear your thoughts. You pervert!"

I chuckled and looked away. I breathed in deeply and asked, "So what do you have for me today?"

He sighed and replied, "Based on the things you asked me to find and also the additional information you gave me after you spied back at that dragon seer, one thing is for sure, that cave he visited in is somewhat a graveyard of unborn dragons. They never called that a graveyard though. It was more of an altar or a sacred ground to them."

I nodded my head and pondered. If the dragons believed that it shouldn’t be called a graveyard, does it mean that those eggs still have some hope for revival? I might just need to try things to know, I guess.

After a brief pause, Void continued, "That seer, his birth is peculiar too. Based on the stories, he was said to be born from mana a little over 400 years ago because his family is supposed to be already extinct long before that."

I looked at Void in confusion and asked, "Do you mean like how the earlier elves were born, like from a mother tree or something? Dragons were supposed to be born from eggs, right?"

Void nodded his head and clarified, "He is indeed born from an egg but it is one that suddenly appeared in that sacred grounds. He doesn’t have any family left per se in Vlaelmundr though. There are other purple dragon eggs in that sacred ground but all of them have petrified."

I looked down and murmured, "So I was right all along... That was why I felt some form of connection with him. He was also somewhat an orphan just like I was in my previous life. Born from mana, huh? That’s interesting."
