CHAPTER 605: CHAPTER 605 - CONFIRMING RELATIONSHIPS (PART 2)

I smiled at him and responded, "I think it was about time that we clear some misunderstanding between us about how things were before compared to the present. I just have some questions for you out of curiousity."

Arthur slowly sat back down on his chair as he placed his used plate back on the table gently. He nodded his head slowly though he was obviously nervous about what I was about to ask next.

After he settled back in his seat, I continued, "Please answer me honestly. What were your thoughts during the time when I challenged you to work for academe points to buy your freedom? Remember when I even gave you a time limit where you have to free yourself before I graduated? Did you do it because you just want to prove to me that you were something or do you really want to be with me at that time?"

Arthur stared at me with a cold face but his eyes gave him away. They were very expressive as it showed surprise with a mix of hurt and sadness. He eventually looked down to avoid my eyes as he started to ponder on how to answer my question politely but at the same time making sure that it was as truthful as possible.

I stayed silent and gave him as much time as he needed to think. I still have time left before my classes start anyways and it is not like I am afraid to be late once in a while for emergencies such as these.

My future with Arthur is at stake here so it is very important!

After a few minutes, he slowly looked up and made eye contact. He inhaled as if to get some strength but still spoke with the same weak voice, "I- I hope you don’t get mad with what I am about to say but... honestly, umm... I thought it was an impossible task at first and that you just want to torture me for doing bad things to Ioannis before. As for taking on the challenge, it was both. I wanted to prove to you that I can do something with I put my mind on it. I- Uh- I apologize if my answer sounds too blunt."

I smiled at him and responded, "Why would I get angry when I asked for your honesty. Besides, you were actually right on most of those points." His eyes widened as he stared at me for a few seconds and then his face started to crumple, his eyes starting to get teary.

My eyes widened at his reaction and I hurriedly added a few more things to clear up what I just said, "Wait! Don’t cry! It was just that way at first but I don’t think or feel that way anymore. Actually... I have long made up my mind to bring you out of here once I graduate! I was willing to pay whatever amount of points was missing in case you couldn’t earn enough!"

I hurriedly stood up and pulled Arthur into a hug before he goes into a full emotional meltdown from hearing a confirmation of his suspicions from my own mouth. I rubbed his back and told him soothing words until he calmed down.

He did calm down but only after half an hour of hugging and non-stop whispers of assuring words from me. When he left my embrace, his nose and eyes were puffy and red. He tried to cover his face with his hands and repeatedly asked me to don’t look at him since he looked ugly at that moment.

I ended up chuckling and removing his hands from his face. I grabbed the sides of his face with my hands then gave him a flurry of quick kisses on his lips followed by a sweet smile afterwards.

Arthur’s face blushed after seeing me smile at him. His face looked adorably cute right now.

Ugh. I am still a bit horny from everything that transpired last night and I kind of want to eat Arthur too but I have to wait a bit till he is ready.

I gave Arthur a medicine bottle and instructed him to take one pill a day to strengthen his body. He immediately assured me that he was healthy and he had no sickness. I candidly replied that the medicine was not because he was sickly but because I had to make sure his body is strong enough to survive being eaten by me.

He stared at the medicine bottle for a while before the last few words that I said finally registered in his brain. He looked up abruptly with his mouth agape. He quickly stood up and ran back to his room in panic. He even slammed the door loudly in his haste which made me laugh.

Now that I have handled the two men in my villa, I went back to my room to dress up for my classes. I quickly got ready and went out my villa in a hurry to the main academe building.

On my way out of the villa gates, I saw Priest Clarence lurking nearby since he only lives next door. Another person, Caius was observing behind one of the trees a few meters from my gate.

Damn. I just dealt with my relationships with two men and now here we are with two more who want to bother me. *Sighs* I miss my peaceful and blissful days back in Tadhana.

I was able to escape them yet again and arrived inside the classroom where I will take my short courses. Luckily, I arrived in one piece since I clearly felt some sort of killing intent coming from Caius earlier. As for Priest Clarence, well, no killing intent but a lot of blaming, I believe.

When the class was about to start, just when I thought I escaped successfully, I saw Caius walk inside my classroom nonchalantly. He was staring at me from the time he entered the door until he slumped unceremoniously on the seat on my left. He was shortly followed by Clarence who sat on the seat on my right side.

I sighed at how their tactics have become more aggressive. I kind of expected it from Caius because he is the petty type but I could not understand how a priest can follow this military guy’s tactics with no qualms.
