CHAPTER 242: THE 30 ADVANCED CLASS STUDENTS (2)- CLASS SELECTION
The banter kept on going, and they soon reached the ceremony hall.
There was no need to look at the signs for the location, as everyone was literally traveling to the same place in their neat uniforms.
When Theo entered the same but different atmosphere hall, he took a deep breath of air. It had been a full day of not training the sword skills and his beasts, and it was making Theo frustrated for a reason.
The habit of pushing himself every day with the training made Theo addicted to it. Whether it was good or not was a totally different thing.
The seating arrangement was the same, and this time, there were two other people who were by his side, excluding Clara and Elias, who had to go to the side.
Theo noticed the shift in Clara’s attitude almost instantly. The only thing left for Clara was to become an actual noble because all her other habits were definitely the same.
When many in the student body looked at the two red-uniformed students and a green one being together, they started talking about it, yet Ron was totally unfazed.
Theo noticed that the students were not seated according to the color of the uniform, which stated a harsh reality that many of yesterday’s groups broke up this morning, just because the elitist uniform system came into play.
Yet there were still some groups that had a greater diversity than even their trio.
One of the groups had two blue-uniformed, two green-uniformed, and two red-uniformed individuals.
They were a spotlight that many looked at and talked about because of how systematic and diverse the group was.
And the looks on their faces even made Theo somewhat feel like they were good and kind kids. Though there was still the fact that faces tended to deceive many if it was the only factor that was observed.
Soon, the whole hall was filled, and each and every instructor started making their way up the stage before every vacant seat was filled.
The ceremony started where there were a lot of introductions for the instructors.
Theo got the names of all the professors who were going to teach them for the 1st year.
And after that, there wasn’t a need to take all the classes, as the second-year students had the benefit to choose their own classes.
Theo was happy to know that he had seen many, many instructors of some really bizarre stuff. He liked the concepts, but there was no way he was focusing on them.
There was already a lot on his plate with the Evolution Affinity.
But there was one certain instructor of the production classes who caught his interest.
It was the fabric user.
Theo had a certain worm whose silk had healing properties, and for a while now, he had devised many ways to use it.
The one that he wanted to try was the garments that tamers and knights could wear under their armor to keep getting healed when they were wearing it.
His gaze went to Clara in the corner, who was also looking at Theo when the instructor started explaining what the class was all about.
Their minds were synchronized for that one topic that had been on their minds for a long time. Clara wanted a business, and Theo wanted to increase his influence in the town and the noble community.
The Merrick name was enough, but still, to have his own name built up with time in the circles would only help him. At least that’s what he thought was right.
The ceremony went on for an hour, and the introductions with the instructors were finally over.
Theo had a count of how many there were, and for starters, there were only some classes.
Bond Synchronization
Beast Theory and Classification
Affinities and Essence Flow
Field Survival and Terrain Adaptation
Combat Fundamentals
Combat Fundamentals (Human-Beast Coordination)
The first five were the ones that were main. After that, there was Combat Fundamentals with human and beast coordination on it.
That was the class taught by Evelyne, and Theo knew he had to take that no matter what.
That was six classes Theo had to take. There was a sheet he was given that he had to fill out. There were names of classes on them, and they had to choose right away and pass the sheet to the uniformed staff.
In that list, there was another category.
Production/Crafting Classes
In that section, there were many classes that Theo had the flexibility to choose from.
The ones that Theo found even remotely interesting or a lot were the ones his eyes were stuck on now.
Introductory Potion and Elixir Crafting
Introductory Combat Gear Maintenance
Introductory Essence Fusion and Crystal Synthesis
Introductory Runic Fabrication and Textile Alchemy
Introductory Beast Habitat Design
Theo’s gaze was fixed on these ones out of the many others that he just didn’t have an interest in.
’I can be in as many classes as I can. There is no restriction, but even an idiot knows biting too much sometimes leads to trouble... but will it for me?’ Theo thought with a smug expression.
He was a 10-year-old who was actually 30 years old in memory. There was bound to be a level of maturity that could lead to him handling a lot more classes than an average individual of this age.
’Except for the Combat Gear Maintenance, I will get everything... There is always the chance to drop them after the year ends...’ Theo thought and nodded to himself.
It made Ron notice him and look at the sheet he was holding, only to be dumbfounded. That was an expression he had never made before while he was in the academy.
"Why do you have so many classes, Theo?! Four production classes and six main ones? Are you crazy?" Ron spoke loud, getting as many ears on them as possible.
A vein popped in Theo’s head when he looked at that shocked expression of Ron.
"We really need to work on your social awareness, Ron," Elysia spoke and shook her head, yet she couldn’t stop from laughing.
"Wait, did I do something wrong again?"
Theo just looked at the two engaging in conversation and then the others who were staring bullets toward him. It seemed his ridiculous plan was known by everyone before it even started.
