Into The Marvel Universe : A Reborn Sorcerer
Chapter 100 100: Clash for the Space Gem
"Where is that thing? Are you planning some other conspiracy? I think you should know clearly what kind of punishment you will receive when you return if you do something else here to deceive us to come here?" the team leader demanded.
After listening to the words of the team leader, the one sitting in the front among the three mutants wearing cloaks trembled slightly, and then a young female voice with fear sounded slowly.
"I'm not lying. You all know my abilities. The thing that contains the most powerful energy in history is right here. We just need to go under this cave to see it," Destiny pleaded.
"Well, I hope so… In addition, if you encounter mutants later, I allow you to take action immediately and eliminate the enemy as soon as possible. We have not informed the Egyptian side of this operation. This is a secret operation. I think you should know what this means. Don't let me down," the team leader warned.
When the three mutants heard the words of the team leader, fear and resentment appeared on their faces under their cloaks, but no one dared to say anything. From their past experiences, they knew one thing very well, that resistance could only bring endless pain, and only obedience could ensure that they could live as well as possible.
The tallest of the three seemed to touch his neck inadvertently, and then without saying anything more, he took the lead and dived into the cave.
However, the nine of them did not know that when they were sneaking in, Sebastian Shaw had already passed by them and entered before them.
"Who are you? Who let you in?" a church believer stationed inside challenged.
Listening to the words of some unknown church believers stationed inside, the nine members of the team simply ignored them. The mutant who took the lead directly reached out and tore off his cloak, revealing a hairy, tall, and strong body. On his neck, there was a ring made of a special instrument, on which electronic circuits drilled into the flesh along the spine and buried themselves in his body.
With a roar, Juggernaut's body swelled up instantly, and he slapped a believer who was about to draw his gun and sent him crashing heavily into the protruding stone behind him, breaking his back, bleeding from his mouth and nose, and dying instantly.
The other believers who noticed something was wrong took out their weapons and guns and rushed towards the team of nine. But before they could rush over, the second mutant walked up, reached out to pull down her hood, revealing a neutral face, but upon closer inspection, she had no Adam's apple and was a woman with short hair.
"Siryn, I leave it to you," the team leader ordered.
Nodding slightly, Siryn did not say a word, but clapped her hands at the believers who were rushing towards her. At that moment, a fierce sonic wave burst out, blowing up all the five or six people, and crashing them into the rocks and walls behind them. They all bled from all their orifices and were killed by the sonic wave.
Among the three mutants, Juggernaut was a mutant who possessed extremely powerful strength and defense. When he transformed, his body would become taller, and his strength and defense would also increase year-on-year. He was considered a very good power mutant.
Siryn was a very young female mutant whose ability was sonic waves. Any sound made by her body had extremely terrifying power. For example, clapping, snapping fingers, stomping feet, or other actions were all very powerful. Unfortunately, Siryn was born with an incompletely developed voice and could not speak, otherwise her ability would probably be even stronger.
Destiny was also another female mutant. Her active combat ability was very low, but she could see a lot of special things, such as powerful mutants, the situation in a region where a natural disaster had occurred, and Space Gems containing huge energy.
Although Destiny was just a mutant with auxiliary abilities, she was the most valued mutant in their organization. Some mutants might not have direct combat capabilities, but they had very strong strategic significance. Destiny was obviously this type of mutant.
When Siryn attacked just now, the sonic waves not only knocked those believers away, but also caused a huge shock to the cave, with small pieces of gravel and sand falling down.
"Siryn, do you want to kill us? I will definitely make you suffer when we get back! From now on, you are not allowed to use your abilities without my order. You are just a weapon, do you understand?" the captain snapped.
Siryn looked at the captain with a pale face, but she was unable to speak and could only shake her head repeatedly to indicate that she had no other intentions.
He impatiently reached out and pushed Siryn aside, causing her to stagger. Fortunately, Destiny supported her, otherwise she would have hit the rock behind her.
The captain stepped forward, looked at Juggernaut, and said, "Go ahead and lead the way. Destiny will guide us."
The group slowly approached the front and finally saw the Space Gem emitting blue light placed on a huge rock. They immediately knew that they had found their target.
The captain walked forward excitedly and immediately took out a box, wanting to put the Space Gem into it and take it away. But at this moment, a phantom flashed, and the Space Gem disappeared instantly, replaced by a man and a woman.
The man had silver hair and looked at them teasingly. The woman had long red hair and was holding up the Space Gem in a crimson mist in her hand, looking at it curiously.
"What is this that made you guys leave your nest and come here?" Scarlet Witch asked.
"Mutants… who are you?" the captain demanded.
As soon as the captain finished speaking, Destiny standing beside him answered, "Captain, they are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, and they are both level three dangerous!"
"Level three…" The captain was startled, and immediately gave the order for others to open fire.
But at this moment, the Space Gem in Scarlet Witch's hand suddenly flew out of her hand and fell into another hand that slowly appeared. Quicksilver subconsciously rushed forward to take back the Space Gem, but before he got close, another consciousness suddenly descended, none other than Professor X.
When the Space Gem fell into Sebastian Shaw's hands and disappeared with his backhand, Pietro's body returned to its original state.
"Professor? Is that you? Why are you trying to stop me?" Pietro asked.
"Pietro, this Space Gem originally belongs to Sebastian. I can't tell you the details now, but I can guarantee that the Space Gem is safest only in Sebastian's hands," Charles's voice echoed telepathically.
Quicksilver and Pietro naturally trusted Charles very much. Moreover, neither Pietro nor Wanda actually had much desire to obtain the Space Gem. In fact, the reason why they tried to snatch it was to prevent the military team from getting it, so Pietro didn't care so much about who the Space Gem would eventually belong to.
Wanda looked at Sebastian, her eyes lit up slightly. In fact, she always had a special feeling for Sebastian. Wanda always had a sense of estrangement and strangeness towards other people in this world, even mutants or her own relatives.
After meeting Sebastian before, Wanda immediately felt a sense of familiarity from Sebastian, as if they were born to be together. This was why Wanda chose to find Sebastian immediately after seeing Sebastian before, not only because Sebastian looked at her more in the crowd, but also because of this unprecedented sense of familiarity.
"Sebastian, we meet again," Wanda said.
Nodding at Wanda, Sebastian smiled and said, "We meet again, Wanda."
"What is that thing? Why did the professor say that it was originally yours?" Wanda asked.
"It's something I brought back from my hometown. Only with this thing can I go home," Sebastian explained.
After hearing what Sebastian said, Wanda became even more confused. She wanted to ask something else but was suddenly interrupted by the military team.
"Hand it over!" the team leader shouted.
Sebastian looked at the team leader who was speaking and said in surprise, "I'm a little curious, how did you know about this?"
The captain did not answer Sebastian's words. At this time, Destiny came to the captain with a puzzled look on her face and whispered to him, "Captain, this man is a little strange. He has powerful strength, but he is also not a mutant. In my vision, he is just an ordinary person!"
"An ordinary person?" The captain narrowed his eyes slightly. He would not question the ability of Destiny. After all, one of the important reasons why their organization was able to gather so many mutants was because of the ability of Destiny. However, an ordinary person with powerful strength, the meaning of this was another matter.
Just as the captain was thinking, a voice suddenly came to his ears.
"Jack, bring that guy back. If it is true as Destiny said, perhaps we can replicate his situation. At that time, our research and plans will be further improved! So we must bring him back, not just the Sapphire (Space Gem)but also the person!" the voice commanded.
"Yes, Colonel!" Jack responded.
In response, the captain spoke directly, "Siryn, Juggernaut, take action! Knock out the man named Sebastian and take him back! Everyone else, get ready and use powerful tranquilizer bullets to shoot, don't harm the target's safety!"
"Yes!" the soldiers affirmed.
"Clear!" another echoed.
When the remaining four soldiers heard their captain's words, they immediately raised their guns and prepared to shoot.
