Invisible Security Guard
Chapter 1681 - 1701: Mighty Righteousness Talisman
CHAPTER 1681: CHAPTER 1701: MIGHTY RIGHTEOUSNESS TALISMAN
"Wow~" Yusuf Zuck lifted the curtain and walked out with the Princess, while outside, Casen Torres stood respectfully to one side. In front of Yusuf, there was a carriage drawn by eight white fiery horses, each with wings.
These were the legendary flying horses of the divine realm, incredibly rare, known for their speed and endurance, able to walk the void for long periods.
Even ordinary households or some dukes have difficulty gathering eight flying horses.
"Special Envoy, the carriage is clear. I will personally drive for you two," Casen Torres said as he led Yusuf and the Princess to the carriage.
"Much obliged!" Yusuf narrowed his eyes as he glanced at Casen Torres, feeling a slight unease because Casen had never looked at the Princess, which was unusual!
Of course, although he was wary in his heart, he showed no signs on the surface and boarded the carriage with the Princess!
However, at the very moment when they boarded, suddenly the carriage flashed brilliantly, followed by crackling explosions as layers of blue light shields appeared, enclosing the entire carriage.
At this moment, Casen Torres hadn’t yet boarded the carriage!
The Princess was startled and instinctively grabbed Yusuf’s arm, while Yusuf looked down at Casen Torres, who stood beside the carriage with a darkened expression, and said, "What do you mean by this?"
"Heh," Casen Torres laughed coldly, then suddenly cupped his fists and bowed, "Your Majesty, after all these years, why do you hide and dodge upon meeting me again?"
"Whew~" Yusuf took a deep breath. It turned out that Casen Torres had recognized the Princess, but he wondered how Casen had figured it out. The Princess had always been behind him, and he didn’t sense any Divine Consciousness from Casen.
The Princess remained silent, not removing her hat, increasingly tense. She couldn’t speak or remove the hat, or it would confirm she was the Princess, and the news reaching the King would be disastrous!
If she kept it on, she’d have a thousand excuses to deny it. This woman was incredibly clever!
"Casen Torres, what do you mean?" Yusuf continued to ask.
Casen Torres took a deep breath, cupped his fists, and said, "Special Envoy, I don’t know why you deceive me, nor do I understand your closeness with Her Majesty. I have no authority nor dare to do anything to you, but I can send you both back to the Royal City for the King to deal with. I don’t want to get involved with whatever is between you." Casen had no reason to think Yusuf was a fake envoy because the King’s Order Token couldn’t be forged, so he believed Yusuf was genuine.
However, the Envoy being intimate with the Queen was inappropriate, and he couldn’t handle this privately. He had to confine them and send them back to the Royal City for the King to decide!
"Then let’s depart!" Yusuf realized that no words would help now. His envoy status would only make Casen cautious, refraining from taking his life privately.
"Alright!" Casen Torres smiled slightly, snapping his fingers sharply, causing the eight flying horses to neigh and transform into eight streams of light, moving in unison and breaking through the sky!
Simultaneously, Casen flew high in the sky, standing above the carriage with two other streams of light following—one man and one woman, both mighty warriors. Their divine pets were a Five-clawed Golden Dragon and a Seven-colored phoenix, following as protectors behind the carriage!
"What do we do now? Are we doomed? Were you tricked by Casen Torres?" The Princess suddenly sneered. This Jordan Webb, previously so confident, was now like a turtle in a jar. The carriage was a cage, confining them within!
Yusuf ignored her mockery, thought for a moment, and then asked, "What is Casen’s divine pet?"
"You still care about his divine... huh? What do you mean?" The Princess raised her eyebrows halfway through her sentence.
"Answer quickly, time is limited!" Yusuf glared at her and said, "Your exposure was your own doing; there must be a secret between you and Casen, or he wouldn’t have recognized you!"
"You..." The Princess was frustrated, "I’m still a maiden; what secret could I have with him?"
"I asked you what Casen’s divine pet is!" Yusuf pressed.
"I heard it’s an ancient Divine Beast called Kui Niu, but few have seen it because Casen is powerful and doesn’t need his Kui Niu!"
"Kui Niu?" Yusuf was taken aback, "Is it very strong?"
"Incredibly strong. The Kui Niu has only one foot but two horns. Its attack uses its horns and voice. It’s said that when Kui Niu roars, the heavens shake and the earth quakes."
"Got it," Yusuf nodded and suddenly shouted aloud, "Casen Torres, how did you recognize the Princess as the Princess?"
This was what puzzled him, and he had to ask!
"Heh," Casen Torres, flying above, chuckled proudly, "There’s no harm in telling you!"
"Aubree has a unique scent. When she was sixteen, I first met her and smelled that wonderful fragrance. After several encounters with Aubree, I was enamored with that scent, unforgettable, etched into my memory, so how could I mistake it?"
"Understood, dog nose!" Yusuf laughed heartily, then glanced at the Princess, "You indeed have an aroma, like the scent of rice, quite unique!"
"Enough already! What scent do I have, and why do you care?" the Princess snapped in frustration.
"Alright, alright, not dwelling on it. Have we left the Cloud Marquis Manor far behind?" Yusuf calculated the time and speed, figuring they had now distanced quite a bit from the manor.
"Why? Do you have a plan?" the Princess asked, curious.
"Of course, to slay demons and capture foes. Though I’m going to the Royal City, I have to pick up Old Li, Joy Webb, and the three kids, right? So let’s get to work!"
"Don’t tell me you can break out of this carriage!" The Princess was skeptical, "I know each marquis’s carriage is meticulously arranged by numerous Formation Masters in the palace. They are some of the strongest defensive items, as the marquises frequently travel with family inside the carriages. Their defense is comparable to the Royal City!"
"You don’t know a lot of things, but first, I must capture a dragon and phoenix for extra help!" Yusuf glanced at the two divine pets behind and gently stroked the little white cat in his sleeve.
"Little White, can you manage it? I just need an instant, just a moment will be enough!" Yusuf whispered.
"Meow!" Little White meowed softly, indicating no problem.
It could immobilize the dragon and phoenix in an instant, which was all Yusuf needed.
"What about me? Do you need my help?" the Princess asked nervously.
"How could you help?" Yusuf quirky asked.
"I have a Protective Charm, handmade by my father. When activated, it releases Mighty Righteousness, freezing people for a short time, similar to your divine pet!" The Princess spoke while taking a small red triangular cloth piece from her neck, inside which was the Mighty Righteousness Talisman!
