Yugito Nii's hatred for Chiyu was as deep as the sea. She charged in first, pushing her chakra to the absolute limit and unleashing her personal jutsu.

"Mouse Hairball!"

Blue, rodent-shaped fireballs of chakra spewed from her mouth. Mid-flight they split apart, scattering into a storm of homing flames that rained on Chiyu from every direction.

Immediately afterward, Yagura Karatachi let loose his own Water Release technique.

"Water Style: Gunshot!"

A massive sphere of water-chakra blasted forward with explosive force.

In the air above, Rasa and Ōnoki attacked together—one manipulating towering pillars of gold dust, the other using Ultralight–Weight Rock Technique to hover while launching his attacks.

"Magnet Release: Gold Dust Strong Spear!"

Ōnoki did not hesitate to fire his signature bloodline technique—Dust Release.

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World!"

In an instant the combined assault of the Four Kage filled the sky, blotting out the sun. The Iwagakure army could only stare, stunned.

Yet Chiyu faced them alone. His eyes held nothing but disdain.

A split-second before the attacks landed—

"Shinra Tensei."

Boom!

A repulsive force erupted, hurling everything away and even ripping the ground apart.

Mouse Hairballs, Gunshots, and Gold-Dust Spears were all blown back and vanished without a trace.

Ōnoki's Dust Release was the only real threat—until Chiyu raised a hand.

"Fūjutsu Kyūin (Blocking Technique Absorption Seal)."

Hum—

The technique that disintegrated matter to atoms was devoured and erased as if it never existed.

"What?!"

Kage and soldiers alike gaped as though they had seen a ghost.

Ōnoki and Rasa halted in midair; Yagura and Yugito froze as well.

"So…that's the power of the Rinnegan?

The force that repels everything—and an ability that absorbs all ninjutsu?!"

Ōnoki's shock deepened.

"Our intel mentioned the Rinnegan, but to think even my Dust Release can be swallowed whole…"

Yugito frowned.

"He can reflect attacks, and if they're ninjutsu he can nullify them entirely…how are we supposed to fight that?"

Rasa and Yagura wore equally grim expressions.

Ōnoki, however, calmed quickly.

"Don't lose heart! His repulsion has a cooldown.

As for the absorption, he must activate it— it isn't automatic.

Our plan: hit him with continuous, overlapping attacks so he can't time the repulsion, then get in close and strike with taijutsu or jutsu he can't absorb!"

The other three nodded. Even Chiyu conceded inwardly that Ōnoki's combat sense surpassed the others.

Under Ōnoki's direction they went again.

Yugito unleashed an even denser barrage.

"Fire Rats!"

Blue flame bombs shot out, her ten fingers steering them to change course at will.

Rasa poured out chakra for a wide-area strike.

"Magnet Release: Gold-Dust Tidal Wave!"

Torrents of gold dust crashed down on Chiyu.

"Shinra Tensei."

Boom! Everything was blown away again—dust scattered like a golden storm, the Fire Rats burst like fireworks.

But Yagura and Ōnoki were already following up, exploiting the brief gap in Shinra Tensei.

Chiyu simply raised one hand—Absorption—and nullified every ninjutsu, while the other arm transformed (Asura Path) and launched a storm of chakra missiles.

The missiles slammed toward both the Kage and the army behind them.

"Look out!"

Kitsuchi slapped the ground.

"Earth Style: Earth-Style Wall!" (土遁·土流壁)

A huge rampart rose, blocking most of the missiles. The Kage intercepted the rest.

Chiyu sneered and fired a concentrated chakra laser from his palm. Ōnoki managed to dodge, but Rasa's gold-dust pillar was too slow; even with a makeshift shield he was blasted aside.

Yugito cloaked herself in a partial Two-Tails form and took the hit head-on.

Yagura snapped his green staff:

"Water Style: Water Mirror!"

A mirror formed; a clone of Chiyu stepped out, firing an identical laser. The two beams collided and canceled.

"Water Mirror—not bad," Chiyu praised, yet he had lost patience.

He had given them a chance merely to gauge their limits; now he knew.

Lightning danced over him—Lightning Release Chakra Mode—and his body shot forward like a bolt.

Yugito exclaimed,

"That's… the Lightning Chakra Mode of the First and Second Raikage! So fast!"

Chiyu's first target: the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa—arguably the weakest of the four.

Using the Rinnegan's gravitational pull he vaulted upward; a samurai blade in hand thrust straight at Rasa.

"Watch out!"

Rasa raised a massive gold-dust shield, while Ōnoki summoned

"Earth Style: Fist Rock!"

A stone arm erupted to guard him. Chiyu's strike pierced the gold shield, smashed through the rock arm, and speared Rasa's leg. Lightning flared—Rasa grimaced and, ruthless even to himself, sliced off his own leg with gold dust and retreated.

Dropping on one leg, Rasa triggered his ultimate move.

"Magnet Release: Gold-Dust Imperial Funeral!"

Thousands of gold spikes spread like a forest. Chiyu ignored them; his Lightning Armor rendered them useless.

Rasa had anticipated this. Forming seals:

"Magnet Release: Gold-Dust Great Burial!"

A colossal wave of gold dust swallowed Chiyu, crushing downward with explosive force—the very technique Rasa once used to seal the One-Tail.

Seeing him engulfed, the other three pounced.

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World!"

"Water Style: Great Waterfall!"

"Cat Flame Roaring Fire!"

Four Kage poured everything into a single, village-levelling salvo.

Rumble—BOOM!

The attacks were blown apart. From the mound of gold, a colossal ethereal warrior arose—Susanoo.

Without hesitation, Ten-Taba Zaimetsu Ken Sword skewered Rasa. Scarlet flames engulfed him; in an instant the Fourth Kazekage was nothing but ash and gore.

There was no time to mourn. Chiyu's Susanoo hurled Yasaka Magatama of chakra at the remaining three.

Spent of chakra and caught off-guard, they could not dodge.

Boom—boom—boom!

All three were blasted away.

"Tsuchikage-sama!"

Cries of alarm echoed across the battlefield.
