With a single devastating strike, Chiyu shattered Ryūchi Cave's stone gate. Enraged, the White Snake Sage burst forth in a form like a white dragon, determined to fight Chiyu to the death.

At the same time, countless serpents of every size erupted from underground in a frenzy, surging like a raging sea. Dense and layered, they formed a vast ocean of snakes.

Remember, a single Myriad Snake Formation summoned by Orochimaru can already call forth thousands of snakes; Ryūchi Cave's full might is far greater. In sheer numbers, the creatures of Ryūchi Cave easily surpass those of the other two Great Sage Regions. Most are ordinary, mindless snakes—but many are monstrously powerful.

For example …

Orochimaru's strongest summon—Manda—whose might can suppress both Katsuyu and Gamabunta. Besides Manda are colossal pythons, venomous vipers, green serpents, three-headed serpents, and more. Yet even these are only the middle ranks.

The true apex is the Sage's three high elders:

Tagitsuhime

Each commands terrifying Sage-art power, standing in Ryūchi Cave as Fukasaku and Shima do in Mount Myōboku. In addition lurks the rebel serpent Garaga, whose strength rivals the elders.

Altogether, Ryūchi Cave is a vast force—no shinobi village surpasses its raw power.

Now, with the gate destroyed and the White Snake Sage in a fury, every serpent within poured out, turning the surroundings into a living sea of snakes. Alone, Chiyu faced the entire horde.

"Uchiha Chiyu, die!" the White Snake Sage roared.

Chiyu replied coolly, "Beasts that know nothing of death."

"Do you not fear that the Three Great Sage Regions may release their seals and annihilate the shinobi world?" the Sage thundered.

Chiyu merely smiled—a calm, bamboo-like smile that left the Sage momentarily speechless.

"You have unified the Five Great Villages and are called Sovereign of the Shinobi World—do you truly care nothing for its fate?"

Chiyu's expression did not change. Only then did the Sage realize—the man before him was the true madman, indifferent to whether the world survived, perhaps even hoping to see it end.

A chill ran through the White Snake Sage; after more than a thousand years of life, he feared death all the more. Yet with retreat impossible, he gathered every ounce of power and unleashed his Sage Chakra.

Boom!

Ryūchi Cave quaked.

Sage Art: Inorganic Reincarnation!

The cave itself seemed to awaken as enormous stone serpents rose from the ground, charging at Chiyu like gray dragons. Chiyu nodded in mild admiration—one of the Three Great Sage Regions, ruled by a millennium-old monster, indeed possessed formidable arts. Kabuto had copied this technique, but on nothing like this scale.

Stone dragons crashed down from all sides, but with a cold laugh Chiyu unfurled Susanoo. The titanic armored warrior shielded him; the stone serpents could not break through, let alone harm him.

"Hm? So that is Susanoo," the Sage muttered. "Fine defense… yet —"

He never expected this attack to kill Chiyu. He prepared something worse:

Sage Art: White Rage Technique!

A massive chakra dragon, crimson and roaring, coiled through the sky, then plunged into a black chakra orb and detonated. Blinding white light, deafening noise, and violent vibrations blasted through Ryūchi Cave, stripping an enemy's sight, hearing, and touch while grinding flesh and bone.

Inside Susanoo, even Chiyu frowned; the sound, light, and tremor pierced the armor easily. He dispelled Susanoo and instead clad himself in his ultimate defense:

Lightning Release Armour — The Strongest Shield!

Lightning crackled around him; his body became a living tank. Light, sound, and shockwaves passed over him harmlessly, while countless lesser snakes were shredded by the Sage's own jutsu. Only Manda and the three elders withstood it, and even they writhed in agony.

The White Snake Sage was stunned. "To nullify my White Rage completely… that lightning-wrapped body must be the strongest armour!"

"Then try this!" he shouted.

Sage Art: Great Serpent Lightning!!

From his body sprang countless colossal serpents made of lightning-infused chakra, hurtling at Chiyu like thunderbolts. Each blast was apocalyptic—yet Chiyu did not move. The strikes tore the ground apart, fire and thunder filling the air, but he remained unscathed.

The Sage gaped. "Is that thing even human?"

Infuriated, the surviving snakes launched a mass assault.

Elder Tagorihime cast:

Sage Art: Object Metamorphosis!

Palaces and banquets rose around Chiyu, a powerful illusion meant to ensnare the mind. Chiyu's three-tomoe Rinnegan spun; scarlet six-pointed stars flashed, and the illusion shattered. Tagorihime coughed blood from the backlash.

Ichikishimahime followed with:

Sage Art: Devouring Absorption!

Crystals sprouted under Chiyu's feet, able to dissolve flesh and swallow chakra. A pulse of ocular power blasted them away.

Tagitsuhime lunged, neck elongating for:

Sage Art: Binding!

If her fangs found purchase, the target would be paralyzed and hallucinating. Chiyu's Lightning Release: Blade of False Darkness flashed—her head flew free, rolling across the ground. Panic rippled through the snakes.

"Fight for the elder!" they cried, surging forward.

Chiyu spread his arms.

Shinra Tensei.

Boom!

Half of Ryūchi Cave flattened; multitudes of snakes died without a scream. Even Manda and the other giants were hurled away, dazed.

Chiyu had not taken a single step.

Before Ryūchi Cave, one elder lay dead, the other two gravely wounded, Manda incapacitated, and uncountable snakes slain. The White Snake Sage trembled with rage.

"Uchiha Chiyu, I'll tear you apart!"

He drew on every last reserve, even tapping the cave's sealed natural energy. His body swelled ten-fold; white scales gleamed like holy dragon scales, horns sprouted, and claws formed.

Chiyu raised an eyebrow—Kabuto had never shown this. Clearly the Sage's final trump card.

With a dragon's roar the Sage unleashed:

Sage Art: Dragon Transformation!

From his maw erupted a torrent fused from wind, lightning, water, fire, and earth, combined with Sage Chakra—the ultimate attack, stronger than a Tailed Beast Bomb.

The catastrophic blast engulfed Chiyu—yet when the dust settled, he stood unharmed.

Impossible! the Sage thought. Even Hashirama or Madara could not withstand that unscathed!

Chiyu's Rinnegan glowed. Within three hundred meters he had seized space itself with Amenominaka, twisting and nullifying everything that entered. Absolute control of space is the supreme attack—and the perfect defense.

Chiyu spoke, indifferent: "Is that all? A little snake dreaming of becoming a dragon—laughable. I let you attack only to see your tricks. How tedious."

Golden light flashed; Chiyu vanished.

"A space-time jutsu?!" The Sage felt a presence behind him.

"Die," said Chiyu.

Within Chiyu's divine realm, all the Sage's power vanished; he became helpless. Pleading for mercy availed him nothing. Space collapsed—and the White Snake Sage, monarch of Ryūchi Cave for a millennium, was erased, body and soul.

The surviving snakes quaked.

"Even the Sage…? Ryūchi Cave is finished!"

Chiyu turned his cold gaze upon them.

"From today onward," he declared, "Ryūchi Cave… ceases to exist."
