Pierre’s eyes widened. "Wait, this sounds like... it’s just Jack’s Boobie Boost with the serial numbers filed off."

He reread the description. "No, not quite. This seems more general—any essence through any physical contact."

Still, the similarity was striking. Had the Administrator given him a version of the protagonist’s power as some kind of sick joke?

"Alright, I’ve got money, a power, and a goal." Pierre looked around the void. "I guess I’m ready to start."
