King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 289 - 289 284 Disaster of the Fang Dragons
Chapter 289: Chapter 284: Disaster of the Fang Dragons Chapter 289: Chapter 284: Disaster of the Fang Dragons “Boom!” Just as several Gold Rank Priests and a Soul Intent Rank Red-clothed Grand Archbishop were facilitating a conversation, a teleportation pillar, exuding a terrifying energy ripple, split the space and landed on the Teleportation Array before them. A rampant shockwave swept across the wide hall, making the pure white mage robes of these priests rattle violently in the wind.
Under the astonished gazes of these priests, their Teleportation Array exploded, and a significant layer of their magically reinforced marble floor was smoothed out.
As the dust quickly cleared, and the silhouettes of the non-human group led by Muria who had teleported in became visible, several Gold Rank Priests gasped in surprise, quickly followed by intense killing intent written all over their faces: “Evil Dragons attack!”
Immediately, without hesitation, these individuals launched Divine Art Attacks towards Muria’s group!
“Do not attack them.” When the Divine Art Attacks were targeted at them, the blue-haired Fiona, standing behind Muria, stepped forward. Once she had blocked all the attacks, Muria commanded.
If Muria had not spoken out, Fiona was prepared to retaliate. Being a Five Colored Dragon, there was a limit to how patient she could be. Suddenly being attacked by a group of humans, it would be startling if the notoriously brutal and cruel green dragon could actually endure it.
“Your Majesty, these humans …”
“Can’t blame them; it seems the church that teleported us here didn’t communicate clearly with this end.” Muria looked back and saw twelve heavily armored, nearly twenty meters long Five Colored Dragons crouching on the ground. Seeing that a group of humans was attacking them, the dragons snarled and growled, ready to breathe out Dragon Breath.
A normal human, upon seeing a horde of evil dragons suddenly appear before them, would either attack or flee, there is no third choice for communication. The primary reason Muria and the rest of the non-human group were suddenly attacked was these twelve creatures that know no transformation magic.
“Cease the attack!” Seeing the group of “people” escorted by twelve Five Colored Dragons, effortlessly blocking their attacks but not retaliating, the head Red-clothed Grand Archbishop finally reacted. He realized that he seemed to have made a grave mistake.
Upon hearing the command of the Red-clothed Archbishop, all the priests who had sensed something was amiss stopped their attacks. Meanwhile, outside the room, Temple Guards donned in heavy Armor flooded in; they had heard the alarm cry of “evil dragons attacking” and had come to support.
“Which one of you is Lord Muria, the Golden Dragon here to aid us?” The Red-clothed Archbishop, Sukada, watched anxiously as the blue-haired lady who was standing in front of a black-haired, golden-pupiled youth, and a red-haired giant who was glaring at them with an evil grin.
Only now did he understand what the church in Ionia meant by advising him to be mentally prepared.
“I am Muria.” Muria patted Fiona, who stood in front of him. As she stepped back, he lifted his head to look at the nervous Divine Staff in front of him, his Dazzling Golden Eye slowly turning vertical, emitting a depressive Dragon Prestige.
Feeling this pressure, the Red-clothed Archbishop Sukada let out a sigh of relief, recognizing the aura of the Golden Dragon, but still looked warily at the “people”, dragons, and cat beside Muria, “Who are they?”
“My followers and subordinates.” Muria explained indifferently, seeing no need for a detailed introduction of Troy and the others.
“Are they all Five Colored Dragons?”
“Yes.”
The faces of these priests instantly turned incredibly interesting at this revelation. The support they had was beyond their imagination.
“The guys at Ionia really can’t be trusted.” Upon hearing Muria’s words, Sukada couldn’t help but curse inwardly. They had sought the aid of a group of Five Colored Dragons, could things get any more ludicrous?
Although he had cussed out the church at Ionia in his mind, on his face, Sukada maintained a jovial smile, without a hint of dissatisfaction: “Your Excellency, Muria, I’m truly sorry. The church at Ionia did not inform us well, hence our panicked attack on you.”
“I understand.” Muria replied, glancing at the temple guards who had surrounded them, their expressions tense. She gave a slight nod, her face reflecting thoughtful contemplation.
These guards wore heavy armor and all of them carried long javelins, axes, spears and other heavy weapons. Their presence was sharp and intense, the strong smell of blood emanating from them. Unlike the temple guards of Ionia who were basically just for show, these were truly battle-hardened warriors.
This subcontinent, Osroni, seemed more chaotic than the Ionian subcontinent from the looks of the guards’ equipment and the reactions of the priests.
While Muria was still in her thoughts, a thunderous roar accompanied by the screams and growls of monsters sounded. A golden-level warrior, drenched in blood and donned in black armor, sprinted in, bellowing:
“Those evil dragons have launched another attack with a monster tide. What are the temple people doing? Hustle to the city walls. Lord Sukada, when will the reinforcements from the temple arrive…?”
The frantic warrior hadn’t finished speaking when his voice stuck in his throat. He had spotted the non-human entities standing behind Muria, especially the extraordinarily conspicuous group of twelve Five Colored Dragons.
Before his brain could react, his body did. Without thinking, he drew his sword slashing towards Muria and the others.
“Insolent! Human.” The red dragon, Otlis, who hadn’t had a chance to perform earlier due to Fiona’s preemptive actions, roared in delight. He slapped out a palm, materializing a nearly tangible dragon claw that shattered the sword light and struck the warrior.
A piercing sound of bones breaking ensued. The warrior was flung aside without a chance to resist. His arms were broken, his chest collapsed inward, blood sprayed everywhere as he crashed into a pillar.
Seeing this, the temple guards surrounding the non-human creatures, including Muria, stepped forward together, their weapons pointed at them. The atmosphere instantly became heavy.
“Lower your weapons, all of you. What are you doing? These are our reinforcements.” Sukada, the Red-clothed Grand Archbishop, wiped a bead of cold sweat from his forehead. He could see the smile on Muria’s face beginning to disappear.
They had attacked twice in succession which seemed to have angered the Golden Dragon Lord. Regardless of what happened, this was a form of disrespect. It was fortunate it was the Golden Dragon. If it had been other dragons, they’d have blown their tops after consecutive attacks from humans.
For instance, besides herself, all the other dragons around Muria, including Troy, were showing signs of anger. The Five Colored Dragons were known for their tempers, and the ones raised by Muria were no exception.
“Lord Golden Dragon, please forgive our impudence. The reason for our actions is because our city is under siege from a bunch of evil dragons. Therefore, upon seeing your followers, we reacted as we did.”
“What kind of dragons are attacking your city?” Muria asked, frowning at the roaring sounds outside.
“Fang Dragons!”
