CHAPTER 194: THE END OF THE PARTY.

Later, as they were watching the kids engage in balloons fights in the zero gravity playground, the adults that were not playing found a moment to sit and relax. Jingzhe and Mei Mei were among those adults.

He was nursing on a non-alcoholic beer and she was sipping her second pina colada of the day that was in a water bottle for some reason. When Rose gave it to her, Mei Mei had not asked questions.

"I finally know what it is like to be one of those dads that sits in the back of the room, watching his kid playing with a proud look in his eyes and a tired smile on his face." He said.

He was not the only dad like that, many of them were just like him. Luo Chuchu’s father was sleeping, with his head resting on his wife’s shawl that was on the table. They had tired themselves out after playing many games with the children on the obstacle course.

Whoever had thought of adding alien crocodiles into that swamp was really vindictive. Their teeth were not sharp and their bites were non lethal but the pain felt a little too real when they sunk their teeth into someone’s flesh.

"And I finally get to be one of those mom’s that just sits back, gossips with the others and let the dad do all the running around." Mei Mei laughed. For once, she was not in charge of keeping up with Mingzhu and she was glad to take a break. Her daughter had too much energy as if she had taken ten energy drinks and eaten ten handfuls of sugar combined.

Haena announced that it was time for the birthday dance and everyone that wanted to change their outfit could do so. Not unexpectedly, all adult eyes turned to Mei Mei.

"I broke my hip yesterday, I can’t dance today." She said, loudly for every interested ear to hear.

She was excused but the rest of the family members were not. As were the kids that had come to attend the party.

And thus begun a new tradition: Idiotic dancing in zero gravity.

Jingzhe accompanied Mingzhu and Mei Mei joined a few parents on the side lines, behind the glass shield, to record their loved ones and keep this memory so that they could embarrass them later or simply remember it as for as long as they could.

For Mei Mei, it was all about embarrassing. How often did one get to see Jun Mingzhe doing the chicken in zero gravity. It was not even the chicken, it looked more like the drunk chicken which was having a seizure.

The jazz hands dance was very popular, everyone seemed to be doing it and they were having the time of their loves making fools of themselves as if nobody was watching.

The regret came after the party ended, when the guests were gone and only family members remained at the camp, enjoying cozy movie night around a a warm indoor virtual camp fire.

The mighty little peep star was unleashed, or the mighty little kraken in this case as everything that the paparazzo posted had everyone wincing. Everyone, that was, except for the paparazzo herself.

First to make news is the Imperial commander Jun Mingzhe and his failed zero gravity chicken dance. Oh the horror!! At least we know now how we will scare the aliens away.

Next up is Tao Li, dressed an emperor in a silver tin foil crown. Even microwaves look more regal than he did. And when it was time to dance, he floated his foot into Jang Yau’s face.

Not to be missed was grandma Jun, giving herself a hernia as she tried to....I am not sure but she could have been attempting to twerk or maybe she was just bending because she was exhausted. Anyway, paging 120--we have an emergency medical issue, possibly a hernia.

Then again, I would have jumped into that pudding too because it looked like a big floating white cloud.

As they looked at the most ridiculous pictures of themselves that had been captured by the peep star, they groaned, moaned and some like Jun Yi, Chi Mi Mi, Chi Lena, Jun Yuen and even Chi Lian even declared that they wanted to die.

"Look at me shoving caramel chocolate popcorn up my mouth like a starved piglet." Mei Mei whined and she covered her face. That lasted only for a second and she turned to her great grandfather and shook her head. "You stole my blue lobster!"

"It is food." He answered.

"It is a blue cotton candy lobster great grandpa, one in a million, very rare, very expensive. I wanted to use it to create buzz for my camp." She complained.

He got his phone and sent her money.

Mei Mei received an alert immediately, one hundred million had been deposited into her account. She gasped and squealed.

"Great grandpa, I love you. I will add more later, you can fish them all and have a blue lobster banquet with your friends." She told him eagerly.

He nodded.

Meanwhile, some people were trying to peek at her phone and see how much money she had been sent. Jun Yi was already on her way to coax him for a donation to her hospital.

Muyang was asking his wife what was wrong with slippers. She was thinking about the chocolate caramel popcorn, wondering why she had not been given any.

Grandma Jun was assuring her husband that she was not twerking at a child’s birthday party. Everyone was discussing the pictures or something related to them.

Nobody noticed that Tao Xiaotong had hidden in one of the mascot costumes and after everyone left, she switched on the junior space chef game.

Meanwhile, her family was already searching for her and they had even called the police.
