Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday
Chapter 198: Meeting officer Jiang.
CHAPTER 198: MEETING OFFICER JIANG.
At exactly 2:00 A.M, Mei Mei opened her eyes, dressed up and made her way to the apartment of officer of Jiang Meng. She lived in an eighty-story skyscraper, on the sixtieth floor.
While the rest of the city was sleeping, Mei Mei contemplated how to make her way to sixtieth floor. The building itself was highly secured. It housed a maximum of one hundred police officers as it was within driving distance of two police stations.
Criminals did not dare to cross this area as there was always a risk of being arrested. But Mei Mei was no ordinary criminal. She was the daughter of a master spy, trained in the art of evasion and armed with a system that could hack into any computer in the world.
But even C4 could not beat the six police officers smoking on the side walk, outside the building or the three security guards in the lobby. Mei Mei would need to pass by them all before getting to the elevator.
So, she opted for another entrance. The roof.
She had donned a black body suit that blended perfectly with the darkness, with magnetized climbing gloves in her hands, boots that could control gravity and climb walls. Another weapon she had was the silence of someone that could hold their breath longer than most men could run a mile.
Like a ghost sailing through the air with ease, she climbed down with as if she was walking on the ground and hopped onto the balcony, jostling the flowers of a potted plant.
Having familiarized with the blueprints of the window and all security measures, she knew the windows were pressure sensitive and controlled by AI. As long the window was opened, house monitoring would announce it as it happened.
Mei Mei got her her EMP device and performed magic, disarming the security system of the apartment. C4, with full control, opened the window and it waved Mei Mei inside like it had missed her.
Inside the apartment, she took careful slow steps towards the bedroom. Officer Jiang Meng was alone, sleeping ...or so Mei Mei thought. But as soon as she pushed the bedroom door open, the woman on the bed was holding a gun in her hand, sitting upright.
"One move and I shoot you." Jiang Meng said.
Mei Mei stepped back, hands in the air. "I have already planted an explosive inside your house. I will not be the only one to die if you shoot."
Jiang Meng had a phone in her hand and she was trying to call for back up. But, the phone was dead, just like all the lights in the house and every electronic.
Even though she had a weapon in her hand, she was frightened and the biggest reason why was because an unknown individual had made her way into her house, powered off everything and almost made it into her bedroom.
If the tiny wind sensor on the petals of the flowers on her balcony had not sent an alert to her phone suggesting unusual movement, she would have been blindsided.
"Who are you?" she asked.
Two guns appeared in Mei Mei’s hands and she pointed them at Jiang Meng. The police officer did not see how it happened and she could not see what kind of gun they were. The glow of the moon’s light reflected by the bedroom windows was not enough to help her make an assessment.
"You have one gun and I have two." Mei Mei said calmly.
"It is not how many guns one has that matters." Jiang Meng replied gruffly. "It is how excellent of a shot one is. I have never missed my target so I am sure that I will drop you in five seconds if you don’t drop your guns. Also, in case you did not do your research on me, you should know that I am a police officer.
If you kill me, my fellow officers will never stop hunting for you. And when they find you, they will make you pay a great price."
"Tch!" Mei Mei scoffed. "Do you think that I don’t know who you are. Your name is Jiang Meng, you were born on January sixth in 2052. You are the second child of Jiang Chang-Yuen and Ning Qinyu. Your father works as a quality control officer at Kang beverages. Your mother is a cook in a hospital.
Your paternal grandparents are farmers in D city and your maternal grandparents are dead. You have two siblings, one is older than you and the other is younger. Their names are...." She paused and tilted her head. "Need I continue? I can keep going if you wish. I know your history, every school you attended, every crime you have committed, every man you have dated. I know when you had your first kiss.
I know how many times you visited the bathroom today. I also know that you are sleeping with Xie Boshi, your superior. You hope that he will promote you as a detective and you want to join the Capital Bureau of Investigation [CBI]."
Jiang Meng trembled.
"Your morals are compromised. Xie Boshi’s wife is a national hero that was injured in the line of duty. She is suffering from Spiral Code Decay. Every time you visit her in the hospital, you meet her husband later and the two of you do disgusting things in her marital bed.
I don’t know how you passed the national police exams with a brain like yours, otherwise, what makes you think that Xie Boshi can influence promotions in the CBI? It is an elite team and they hire detectives basing on their special skills.
Your special skill is your shooting accuracy. I hate to break it to you but it does not make you very special. There is a percentage of the officers on the police force that are just as accurate as you.
There are approximately 1.82 million police officers in this empire. 542,000 of them rank above you in shooting accuracy. With your precision, you qualify for tactical units, marksman roles and being a firearms instructor and yet you debase yourself for an opportunity to shoot for the stars in the CBI where you are not needed or wanted."
Mei Mei scowled and shook her head. "You do not deserve the badge. It is people like you that make others think the only way female police officers can progress is on their knees."
"Shut up." Jiang Ming screamed angrily.
Mei Mei pulled her finger on the trigger. "I am afraid that I won’t be shutting up but I will be shutting you up. You should not have parked outside my house where my daughter lives and then threatened me with your aggressive driving. I do not take kindly to being threatened so I am here to get some answers and if I don’t get them, you are in for a very terrible night, officer Jiang Meng."
"Jun Meilin!!" Jiang Ming gasped.
"In the flesh." Mei Mei answered in a cold voice.
