Laid-Back Life in Tokyo: I Really Didn't Want to Work Hard
Chapter 474 - 330: My Wives Hope for the Same
CHAPTER 474: CHAPTER 330: MY WIVES HOPE FOR THE SAME
You can see many anime characters walking along the road.
Unfortunately, Uesugi Sakura hasn’t watched much anime, so she can only barely recognize a few popular ones.
The one carrying two black swords and wearing a black trench coat is Kirito, and the one beside him is probably Asuna in a gray-white top and a red skirt.
Though that Asuna looks a bit... strong.
There’s also a red-haired boy in a black and green checkered Feather Weave, carrying a wooden box.
This one Uesugi Sakura knows—Kamado Tanjiro, often seen in Demon Slayer posters on the train.
Walking under the shade of the trees along the hall road, you can see many photographers surrounding a very young girl taking pictures.
She’s wearing a light blue long T-shirt and a white baseball cap, giving off a somewhat fragile feeling.
"What character is that?"
Tsubokawa Takahiro also aimed his camera there, "Hey, isn’t it written on the hat? Platelet."
"Pretty cute," Uesugi Sakura said to the two little girls beside her, "Do you want to dress like this?"
"Many strange guys will take pictures of us..." Chiaei seemed a bit worried.
"Sis, this will get us a lot of attention!" Aei seemed happy.
There are so many people cosplaying at the convention that with Uesugi Sakura’s knowledge, she can’t recognize many characters.
A group surrounded by photographers was found on the lawn, so they walked over.
Uesugi Sakura was a bit curious about which character was being played in there to draw such a crowd.
Looking inside, there was a young girl in a pink mini-skirt, a crop top, exposing her legs and midriff.
The girl smiled, arching her thin waist and slightly sticking out her bottom, striking a peace-sign pose, her slender figure gleaming with youthful energy in the sunlight.
Even from Uesugi Sakura’s vantage point, the scene beneath her mini-skirt was faintly visible. Thankfully, she wore safety shorts; otherwise, with her skirt almost level with her thighs, avoiding exposure would be impossible.
Seeing this, Tsubokawa Takahiro quickly joined the photographing crowd.
The girl was cute, though her eyeliner makeup was a bit too heavy.
Uesugi Sakura thought casually to himself.
At that moment, Hanamaru Hanabi suddenly tugged on his sleeve secretly.
When he turned back, she pouted and said to him:
"Don’t look."
Uesugi Sakura was taken aback, realizing the girl’s stomach was exposed...
The detail he subconsciously noticed was sharply caught by Hanamaru Hanabi.
"Hanabi, are you jealous?"
"Yeah."
Uesugi Sakura chuckled, "Alright, I won’t look."
Having a childhood friend willing to be jealous for you... thinking of it like this, doesn’t it make your heart feel sweet?
"But..." he hesitated for a moment.
Hanamaru Hanabi looked at him.
"Could Hanabi maybe cosplay a maid later?"
"Does Sakura-kun want to see a maid outfit?"
"Uh~ Want to see? I can’t really say that." Uesugi Sakura was already imagining Hanamaru Hanabi in a maid outfit.
"No way."
"Why not?"
"Just... just can’t..."
"I’ll give you a foot massage when we get back."
"...Then... Sakura-kun, don’t tickle, my feet are very ticklish." Hanamaru Hanabi was in a hesitant state originally; refusing was just a shy response of a girl’s restraint.
"That’s no problem." Uesugi Sakura smiled softly.
"Okay."
Hanamaru Hanabi nodded and agreed like that, making Uesugi Sakura feel she was wonderfully easy to satisfy and coax.
Like Tsubokawa complained earlier, his girlfriend always needs him to cater to her mood.
Hanabi never fusses over minor things with him. Cooking, chores, laundry, she takes care of all of it.
She’s a girl who quietly cares for others, not saying how good she is but showing it through her actions.
Hanamaru Hanabi is simple and pure, and Uesugi Sakura feels her existence is really like a dream.
Of course, she also has her flaws. She is somewhat self-doubting, a bit afraid of being alone, and too fragile. When she sleeps at night, she often clutches his chest, curling up in a small ball.
Having interacted for so long, Uesugi Sakura understands this shows her need for reliance.
She often tells him, "Don’t forget Hanabi..."
Now... she seems quite happy being by his side.
Tsubokawa says there’s a place inside the venue where you can rent costumes to try cosplaying.
Maid outfits, being one of the basic costume elements, are surely available there.
However, just a maid outfit wouldn’t make use of the camera Uesugi Sakura brought specifically.
"Sakura-kun... did you bring a camera?" Hanamaru Hanabi saw him take out a black camera from Chiaei’s small backpack.
"Haha, yes, I did." Uesugi Sakura chuckled, trying to hide it.
Seeing his strange smile, Hanamaru Hanabi was a bit suspicious. Did he know beforehand they would come to the convention for this and plan ahead to see her in a maid outfit?
Once Tsubokawa finished taking pictures and came back from the crowd, they continued walking along the lawn towards the inside of the venue.
Uesugi Sakura sneaked a question to Tsubokawa: "What character do you think Hanabi should cosplay?"
"Hmm? Uesugi, are you into this too?"
"Not at all."
"So what is it?"
"I just want to see her in different outfits." Uesugi Sakura said nonchalantly.
Tsubokawa Takahiro looked at him holding his camera to his chest, making no comment.
"Hmm, let me think... for Hanamaru-san... Kato Megumi would be nice."
"Kato Megumi?"
"Wait a moment."
Uesugi Sakura leaned over to see Tsubokawa Takahiro scrolling through his phone.
Tsubokawa opened his photo album, scrolling through the album labeled "Wife."
"You have so many wives?"
