Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!
Chapter 12: Just the Lock, Not Him
CHAPTER 12: CHAPTER 12: JUST THE LOCK, NOT HIM
After hanging up the phone, Elias Warner leaned back in his chair with a cold expression, closing his eyes as if he was thousands of miles away from others.
As if he disliked the dirt, he had already taken off the peak lapel suit that was on him.
He was extremely tall, and even in the spacious back seat, his long legs seemed to have no place to rest. Taking off the suit jacket made his arms broader, and even when leaning back, his waist and back remained straight.
Annelise Winter’s eyes turned red in an instant, but she bit her lip and said nothing. Yet, at the moment the car turned onto the winding mountain road.
Her face suddenly changed.
"Stop the car, where are we going?"
"The Whitlock Estate!" Elias Warner didn’t even open his eyes, "Miss Winter, you really do tend to forget things. Didn’t you used to climb into my bed there when you were a child?"
How could she forget?
Shame and humiliation surged up in her heart.
Even if she got Alzheimer’s, she couldn’t forget this road.
But when she climbed into his bed at the Warner Family estate, she was only eight years old.
In a panic, Annelise Winter’s face turned cold, "I’m not going! Tell them to stop the car!"
Elias Warner’s eyes suddenly opened.
His entire body was enveloped in a frosty coldness, mockery flashing in his dark eyes, he sneered, "What’s there to be afraid of? Aren’t you the adopted daughter of the Warner Family, raised here from childhood? The Whitlock Estate isn’t going to eat you."
Annelise Winter tried to make the driver in front stop the car.
"Stop the car!"
But with a partition in the way, and she not being Elias Warner, neither the driver nor Uncle Ford would possibly follow her orders.
The car was closing in on the Warner Family’s hillside estate.
If Ms. Warner saw her get out of Elias Warner’s car...
She didn’t dare think of the consequences.
Luna’s surgery was about to start soon.
She couldn’t allow any mistakes.
Annelise Winter desperately tried to unlock the car door, but couldn’t open it.
In a rush and a rage, she turned back, glaring at him with her beautiful eyes, anxious, "Elias Warner!"
At that cry, the expression on Elias Warner’s face finally shifted a bit.
His dark eyes covered her, suppressing emotions, "Why aren’t you calling me Young Master Warner anymore?"
Annelise Winter felt pained, helpless, and her face was terribly pale.
She closed her eyes, clenched her palm tightly until it hurt, "What exactly do you want?"
No moment was more regretful than getting in his car now.
She had tried very hard not to provoke him.
But before getting in the car, she only held a tiny bit of hope for that Peace Lock.
"Don’t you want the Peace Lock? I’m just fulfilling your wish."
He said with a solemn face, his dark eyes staring at her intently, "What? Don’t want to sell and want to renege on the debt?"
Each of these cold words pierced Annelise Winter’s heart fiercely.
No matter what, she could not follow him back to the Warner Family like this.
"Yes. Please, Young Master Warner, let me out of the car!"
Annelise Winter’s eyes were wet, ignoring the embarrassment, she climbed over him, trying to open the lock on the other side of the door.
Her posture was shameful, her rear end stuck up on the seat, so beautifully flaunting.
The whole person lay on top of him.
Even forgetting decency and modesty.
The next second, her world spun urgently.
Her slender body was roughly pressed against the car door, Elias Warner pinning her wrists against the door in the most humiliating position.
The man’s cold, domineering physique pressed on her from behind.
The worst emotions hidden beneath his perfect exterior burst forth.
His thin lips pressed against her wet face, voice cold and harsh, "Isn’t this what you wanted? Why are you throwing a young lady’s tantrum with me?"
Annelise Winter shivered.
Because of the aura he enveloped her with, her whole body went numb.
She craved, weakly, but dared not hope, "I beg you. I only want this Peace Lock!"
Just the lock, not him.
He wasn’t even worth a broken lock.
Not even worth those ill-intentioned men in the nightclub!
Elias Warner burned with anger in his chest, all the gentlemanly demeanor disappeared.
Wanting to tear her dress from head to tail.
To see if her once fair and flawless body bore any marks from Leo Lockwood.
He was just curious, that’s all.
Suppressing a whole night’s frustration suddenly erupted!
He pinned her hands high above her head, while his other hand reached inside her neckline.
Annelise Winter wanted to break free but couldn’t.
The whole person knelt and lay there.
"Elias Warner, what are you doing!"
"Even if I did anything, I wouldn’t touch you, you should know I’m a germaphobe, can’t touch dirty things!"
Annelise Winter bit her lip, tears rolling uncontrollably.
She had tried very hard but really couldn’t hold it in anymore.
Many people said she was dirty, said she was played out, and she was already numb to it.
But none of those mockeries and humiliations could compare to this moment.
Her dress had a large button torn open, revealing her snowy white shoulder.
Her skin was tender and exquisite, but somehow there appeared bruises from maltreatment.
Those were marks left by another man on her body.
The overwhelming disappointment almost drowned him.
He gripped her harder, as if wanting to crush her, "Where did Leo Lockwood touch you?"
Her wet black hair clung to her fair neck, Annelise Winter’s tears dripped onto the leather seat.
So, he wasn’t indifferent, he still cared about her, didn’t he?
Annelise Winter desperately wanted to turn around, wanted him to hold her.
Wanted to tell him, she had safely escaped.
But just at that moment, the phone rang.
Elias Warner frowned, still not releasing her, but with no hesitation, he took out his phone from his pants pocket.
The phone screen lit up, and seeing the caller ID, he answered without hesitation.
His voice was restrained.
"Hello."
"Hmm, not asleep yet."
"Miss me?"
"I’ll come to you tonight."
In the background, there was a faintly audible sweet and gentle female voice.
Annelise Winter’s heart broke, and the sweetness that had just begun to rise inside her turned into pain.
Her face instantly turned pale.
Instantly realizing, there was already someone else by his side, was it the woman he was going to marry?
Why would he care about her?
How could he? Obviously, while still here with her, he’s also whispering sweet words to another woman.
Shame and embarrassment washed over Annelise Winter like a tidal wave, drowning her.
Annelise Winter struggled fiercely, her long leg kicking out, but Elias Warner’s big hand grabbed her ankle and pulled it back.
