Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!
Chapter 155: What If You Jump From Here
CHAPTER 155: CHAPTER 155: WHAT IF YOU JUMP FROM HERE
I don’t know what the fuss is about this time.
"I’m making a fuss? Chase, then tell me, did you and Annelise have a daughter?"
June Winter laughed coldly.
"What nonsense are you talking about? What daughter?" Chase frowned, still not realizing that June was referring to Luna.
"Do you dare say you didn’t? Then tell me, who was that little girl you were visiting in the hospital every day when you were in Breslin? She looks so much like you. If she’s not your daughter, whose is she?"
June questioned loudly.
Her heart was about to break; the facts were right in front of her, yet Annelise and Chase, the two involved, refused to admit it.
"June Winter, enough! What nonsense are you spouting every day!"
Chase didn’t explain.
He didn’t know how to explain.
If Luna’s identity were revealed, Renee would absolutely not let things be.
Now that Elias is about to get engaged to the Lowell family’s daughter, nothing can go wrong at this critical moment.
If Renee finds out about Luna’s identity, Luna will be in danger.
"What is it? Chase? You dare to do but not admit it? You lied to me so bitterly, you actually have a child with Annelise? And you’re raising her abroad? Tell me, do you still have feelings for Annelise?"
June pointed at Annelise, crying, and asked Chase, "Why do you like her? Why? How am I worse than her? Why do you treat me like this?"
June cried until her voice was hoarse.
Chase frowned.
He walked towards June with one hand in his pocket.
"Don’t come over, if you come over, I’ll drag Annelise and jump off together, then you’ll never see her again!"
June threatened.
"June Winter, enough, stop making a fuss, if you keep this up, I’ll divorce you! The child’s situation is none of your business!"
Chase didn’t want June to blow things up.
If things got out of hand, Renee would surely find out the truth of the matter.
And then, Luna and Annelise...
The consequences were unimaginable.
He had seen Renee’s methods firsthand.
Over the past five years, he knew better than anyone how Renee treated Annelise.
"Chase! It’s too late! You didn’t dare hide it from me, this child is yours and you still want to lie to me!"
June was heartbroken and desperate.
Even at this point, Chase still wanted to deceive her.
"June Winter, whatever it is, come down first, and let’s talk it out! If you keep making a fuss like this, I’ll divorce you!"
Chase was exasperated.
June’s behavior was too dangerous for Annelise.
"Divorce? You finally said what you really think, huh? You actually wanted to divorce me long ago, right?"
Tears streamed down June’s face.
"June Winter, I’ve already told you, Luna has nothing to do with Chase!"
Annelise said again.
June sneered.
"Whether it’s related or not is no longer important. Annelise, you’re about to die, let’s jump off together from here!"
June stood on the low wall at the edge of the rooftop, pulling Annelise with her.
Below the airline building.
As soon as someone saw people standing on the rooftop, they called the police.
The police were downstairs now.
Watching the movements on the rooftop.
"Ah!"
After a cry of surprise, two figures shot down like arrows from the rooftop, crashing hard toward the ground.
"Bang!"
A muffled sound.
The two figures landed heavily on the inflatable cushion on the ground, passing out.
"Quick, quick, call for 120!"
Not only the police, but 120 was also standing by nearby.
Seeing the two of them fall safely onto the rescue cushion.
The crowd hurried towards the two people.
The medical staff of 120 did a quick examination of the two.
Confirming that they were not in life-threatening condition, they sent both of them to Kybourne Hospital.
Kybourne Hospital.
Vincent Winter stood in the hospital corridor, talking to the doctor about June’s condition.
"Doctor, how is my daughter? Is she in any danger?"
Although he was already sixty years old, he was well-maintained, looking like he was in his fifties.
When he received news of June’s fall, he was in the middle of a video conference in the meeting room.
He hurried to the hospital.
"Both girls have the surname Wen, which one are you asking about?" The doctor was holding the two people’s cases.
"June Winter!"
Vincent blurted out June’s name without thinking.
"Annelise’s family hasn’t come?"
The doctor looked at the people in the corridor and asked.
No one responded in the corridor.
Chase was still standing in the corridor, but because Vincent was there, it was inconvenient for him to say he was Annelise’s family at the moment.
The doctor shook his head.
"Doctor, how is my daughter?" Vincent didn’t care whether Annelise’s family came or not.
He was only concerned about June’s condition at the moment.
Annelise was like a harbinger of disaster; June’s fall was entirely because of Annelise.
"Your daughter fell from the eighth floor, she is not in any life-threatening condition but has multiple fractures and needs to recuperate!"
"Good, good, thank you, doctor!"
With June not being in any danger, Vincent was relieved.
He waited outside the operating room.
The doctor who had just spoken, went back into the operating room.
Chase stood to the side, wanting to know Annelise’s condition but still didn’t ask.
Vincent glanced at Chase.
Although a bit angry, Chase was, after all, a child of the Perry family, and he still had to give some face.
"Chase, you just got married to June, you need to take care of her more!"
"Dad, don’t worry, I will definitely take good care of her!"
Chase replied.
"Mind your image outside, don’t break June’s heart!" Vincent, feeling sorry for his daughter, couldn’t help but say this.
"Okay, Dad!"
While they were talking, the operating room light turned off, and Annelise was wheeled out and taken to the ward.
Compared to June’s injuries, Annelise’s were much lighter.
Only a slight fracture in her wrist and an injury to her leg muscles, her body wasn’t otherwise harmed.
So she didn’t need surgery.
Annelise was transferred to a regular ward, and the nurses were still discussing.
"This girl is so pitiful, falling from the eighth floor, and no family came to visit!"
"Is it possible her family doesn’t know?"
"No, I heard she used to be the Winter family’s young lady, turned out to be a fake, switched when she was a child, and the real heiress is currently in the operating room!"
"My gosh, this is just like a story from a novel!"
"Their fall seemed to be due to a love dispute!"
"Tch tch, as exciting as a novel! The one in the operating room must be the villainess!"
The conversation of the two was overheard by Vincent.
He became angrier.
This Annelise, whom he raised for twenty years, now actually wanted to take his biological daughter’s life! Simply too vicious!
He involuntarily headed towards Annelise’s ward.
Annelise woke up.
Glancing around, she saw she was in a hospital room, her wrist and leg throbbing with pain.
She recalled that she was pulled down from the eighth floor by June.
They fell together.
Am I still alive?
