Elias Warner nodded and didn’t say much but walked straight to June Winter.

June Winter was lying on the bed, the anesthesia had worn off, and she was grimacing in pain.

"Captain Warner, are you there? Annelise needs to see you!"

"I came by myself, mom, Aunt Chloe Joyce sent me to Grandma Lockwood’s place, and I took the chance to run off. I was so worried about you. At your office, they said you jumped off a building!"

As Luna spoke, she started sobbing.

She was terribly frightened.

When Chloe Joyce took her away, she kept asking Chloe whether her mom would die from jumping off the building.

Chloe reassured her, saying that someone saved her mom.

In the morning, she took a taxi and came over by herself.

Elias Warner’s face turned grim.

Elias Warner purposely teased Luna.

"It’s okay, Mom has someone to take care of her. I just like Ms. Winter being with Dad!"

Luna’s eyes sparkled like black grapes, saying cheerfully.

"You little rascal, did Ms. Winter give you a magic potion?" Elias Warner bent down and kissed Luna’s forehead.

Luna giggled uncontrollably.

Annelise watched the scene between them and laughed along.

Such a warm moment, she should remember for a lifetime.

"But Luna, do you know if your mom knows you’re staying here? And does Grandma Lockwood know?"

Luna found herself unable to continue lying.

She looked at Annelise with a bit of difficulty.

"The child likes you and wants to stay with you for a while; you should let her stay!"

Annelise spoke for Luna.

"Even if staying, we should discuss it with her mom!"
