Annelise looked at the teacup handed over by Elias Warner, took it from him, and just said thank you before placing the cup back on the table.

Of course, she couldn’t drink the water Elias offered.

She glanced at Elias: "I heard from The Airline staff that you haven’t been going to work lately?"

"I wanted to ask you, you haven’t been at work, is it because you’ve been taking care of Annelise? She fell off the building?" Renee had long heard about the affair between Annelise and June Winter.

The matter even hit the news.

It was big news internally at The Airline.

But outsiders were speculating all sorts of nonsense.

Some rumors said it was because of Chase Perry’s illegitimate daughter.

Others believed it was a love dispute between Annelise and June Winter.

"Elias, I won’t interfere with how you take care of her, but remember you two have a sibling relationship! Don’t go too far! Always be aware of your identity!"

Renee warned coldly.

Then, she handed the food container she was holding to Elias.

"This is a nourishing soup I had Mama Wright make for you, drink it while it’s hot!"

Renee said as she placed the container on the table and opened it.

Inside was steaming nourishing soup.

"Thanks, mom, I know!" Elias just wanted to please Renee and make her leave quickly.

"Why are you speaking so politely to your mom today? I’ll watch you finish this soup! Stop thinking about anything else!"

Renee sat down.

She stared at Elias and the nourishing soup on the table.

Elias picked up the soup and drank several mouthfuls until he finished the bowl.

"Yes, Sylvia came today too, she came to visit Annelise after she heard about her injury. Make sure you treat her well!" Renee said as she picked up the phone, instructing Sylvia Lowell to come out of the car to the villa.

Five minutes later, Sylvia appeared before everyone.

Renee placed Sylvia’s hand in Elias’s.

"I’m entrusting Sylvie to you, be nice to her!"

Before Renee finished her words, Elias immediately shook off Annelise’s hand.

Renee glared at Elias.

"Nurture your relationship well, I’m leaving! I’ll come to see you again tomorrow!" Renee smiled as she spoke.

She even winked at Sylvia as she left.

After Renee left, Elias felt hot all over.

He suspected that Renee had drugged the soup earlier.

He swallowed, intending to call the doctor.

But Sylvia leaned in, deliberately loosening her collar a bit.

Seeing this, Elias’s face turned pale, and he shouted, "Sylvia, why are you still here? Are you leaving on your own, or should I make you leave?"

Sylvia frowned, "Why are you treating me like this? What did I do wrong?"

She couldn’t see why she was any lesser than Annelise.

"Elias, have a look at me, I’ve always liked you, do you still like Annelise? After everything she did to you, do you still want to get back with her?"

Sylvia leaned forward, wrapping her arms around Elias’s shoulders.

Although she didn’t put the drug in today’s soup, she knew Renee had.

If something were to happen between her and Elias today, it would be hard for him to easily get rid of her afterward.

Renee had created such a good opportunity for her, she couldn’t waste it.

"Get lost, hurry up and get lost!" Elias roared.

"Elias, the affair with Annelise Winter and Chase Perry was such a scandal back then; everyone knows about it. She humiliated you like that, and you still want her?"

Sylvia Lowell screamed hoarsely.

"How could Annelise have a friend like you? You’re scheming behind her back? I despise women like that! Get out!"

Elias Warner was furious. He stood up and shouted at Sylvia Lowell.

"Elias, aren’t you feeling hurt right now? Am I not doing you a favor by solving this?"

Sylvia Lowell didn’t want to miss today’s opportunity.

She had spent days flattering Renee Perry at the Warner Family just for this chance. How could she give it up so easily?

She glanced at Annelise Winter, who was hiding at the door.

She mused to herself: Why can’t mom be as proactive as this woman?

"Dad?" Sylvia Lowell looked up and down at the little girl standing in front of her and asked in astonishment, "She calls you dad? Elias, who is this little girl?"

"What does it matter to you? Didn’t you hear what I said?"

"Is she your child with Annelise? Elias, is this true?"

Sylvia Lowell stared at the little girl who bore a striking resemblance to Elias Warner, feeling her heart sink to a suffocating low.

Sylvia Lowell walked toward Luna.

She sized Luna up and down.

Elias Warner quickly stood in front of Sylvia Lowell, protecting Luna.

"Elias, is this child yours and Annelise’s?" Sylvia Lowell’s eyes turned red, and tears began to fall.

The child’s eyebrows, her face closely resembled Elias Warner, but also looked like a young Annelise Winter.

She had seen photos of Annelise as a child.

This little girl resembled Annelise as a child about seventy percent.

She would never believe that the child wasn’t Annelise’s.

"Don’t talk nonsense, this child isn’t mine, nor is she Annelise’s. What do you want? Get out!"

Elias Warner’s hoarse throat, with beads of sweat dripping from his forehead, as he yelled at Sylvia Lowell.

His body was being slowly consumed by the drug.

His mother, Renee Perry, had spiked that tonic soup too much.

Her plan was to make them consummate tonight.

If the news broke out tomorrow, Elias Warner would have no choice but to marry Sylvia Lowell.
