CHAPTER 29: CHAPTER 29: ANNELISE WINTER FALLS FROM THE BUILDING

Uncle Ford spoke with conviction, his eyes showing no hint of emotion as he looked at Annelise Winter.

Annelise didn’t want to be seen by anyone, so she tried to take routes with fewer people.

She didn’t take the elevator but used the stairwell instead.

She didn’t expect Uncle Ford to start drafting a legal notice right now.

"It’s okay for you to follow me around in Kybourne, but I’ve already taken my annual leave and plan to visit my hometown in Nenvale! Are you coming with me?"

Uncle Ford glanced at her indifferently.

"Miss Annelise, have you forgotten what the young master said before his flight?"

"You’ve already been restricted from leaving Kybourne. Don’t think about returning home until you’ve paid off your debt."

Annelise clenched her fist tightly, unable to believe Elias Warner was actually being serious.

She had held onto a sliver of hope.

But now, unable to leave Kybourne or the country, how could she go to Breslin and be with her Luna?

Her daughter finally had a chance for surgery, yet she couldn’t be by her side. She’d blame herself for the rest of her life.

With anxiety and panic, all her emotions surged up in her heart.

Seeing her turn pale and biting her lip without speaking,

Uncle Ford frowned slightly and couldn’t help but extend his hand to urge her, "Miss Annelise, please! The sooner you gather the money to pay back the young master, the sooner you can return home!"

Annelise felt it was unnecessary to waste time with Uncle Ford here, especially since two fierce bodyguards were standing right behind her.
