Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!
Chapter 46: Elias, You’ll Beat Him to Death
CHAPTER 46: CHAPTER 46: ELIAS, YOU’LL BEAT HIM TO DEATH
The light and shadow cast a layer of darkness on his sharply defined, cool face.
Like a deliberately slowed motion.
He lowered his eyes coldly, looking at no one. Annelise couldn’t even see his expression at this moment.
She never expected to encounter him here!
Always a meticulous clean freak, the man hadn’t even changed his clothes.
So, did he not leave last night?
Has he been staying in the hospital all this time?
Why?
Suddenly, her heart trembled, and Annelise clenched her hands tightly.
He wouldn’t be following her all the time, would he?
He wouldn’t have already discovered that she is Luna’s Mother, right?
Thinking that after driving him away, he wouldn’t return, Annelise took no precautions against anyone from the operating room to Luna’s PICU.
If he really knew Luna’s identity, she dared not think of any consequences.
Her steps staggered, and Annelise’s face turned pale instantly.
"Feeling sorry even before I start?"
Elias Warner smiled coldly, the light in his eyes finally surging with a great wave, glaring at her.
"If I beat him to death, would you follow him to death in sadness?"
Elias casually lit a cigarette and held it between his fingers without taking a puff, ash falling off, "There are some scores that should have been settled five years ago, otherwise you..."
The next second, the cigarette butt in his fingertips was extinguished in his palm.
The burning spark disappeared at his fingertips, bursting from the bottom of his eyes, "Do you think I’m dead?"
Chase Perry thought just like Annelise, but he thought more than she did.
From before leaving Kybourne to arriving in Breslin, he might really have touched his brother’s inverse scale!
Five years ago, the brothers turned against each other.
Although it didn’t turn ugly.
The brotherhood from the past could never return!
Such embarrassment and betrayal, like a thorn, deeply embedded in Elias Warner’s heart.
Even after his brother returned to the country, he still went to his wedding.
But Chase knew they could never go back!
Thinking of atonement in his heart, but unable to control his actions.
Clearly shouldn’t have come, but still came to see Annelise and Luna.
Seeing Annelise shedding tears, his heart ached as if it had been doused with concentrated sulfuric acid,
feeling as if he had been slapped twice even before being punched!
"Bro..."
Chase took a deep breath, feeling a bit ashamed, "Go ahead and hit me! I know you’re angry, five years ago I was wrong, I shouldn’t have liked Annelise, I’m a bastard! Knowing full well she was your girlfriend, your fiancée. I still..."
"Are you sure you want to continue?"
Elias raised his eyes.
Chase felt panicked, his heart tearing in pain, "Bro! I know nothing I say now can change anything! Just hit me! I swear I won’t fight back even if you beat me to death!"
Chase grabbed Elias’s hand, trying to slap himself with it!
"You’re hitting my brother!"
But before he could touch him.
He was kicked out hard!
Ugh!
"Chase!"
Accompanied by Annelise’s scream.
Chase was directly kicked away, his entire body slammed against the car door parked by the roadside, the pain excruciating, and before his vision cleared, a fist followed!
Chase couldn’t even stand, kneeling at Elias Warner’s feet, accompanied by a dull thud, you could almost hear the sound of bones cracking.
He was in so much pain he couldn’t straighten up!
Chase, standing at 185 cm with a noble family background, had been trained in formal combat since childhood.
But in front of Elias Warner, it wasn’t that he didn’t fight back; he simply had no power to do so,
reflexively hugging Elias’s legs.
Blood and sweat blurred his vision.
Elias’s expression barely changed, looking down at Chase with disdain!
With a reverse grip, he twisted Chase’s wrist behind him, pulling him up with another punch to the face.
Blood gushed!
In the next moment, he was kicked away harshly!
No time to breathe or react.
Silenced Chase with his actions!
He had tolerated him for too long!
The violence and bloodlust from within surged wildly, and Elias maintained a casual demeanor, yet every punch landed solidly, his muscular lines strained to the extreme, as if a force from within was about to explode!
Annelise was pale, "Stop fighting! Elias Warner! You will kill him!"
Screaming, she rushed forward!
Chase’s face was covered in blood, curling up on the ground in pain.
Elias’s eyebrows were filled with icy contempt.
Annelise rushed to shield Chase, "The person who betrayed you and embarrassed you includes me, hit me too!"
But he ignored her, his eyes filled with rampant bloodshed, "Move aside."
Annelise refused, without thinking, as she saw the man stepping forward again.
She jumped in front of him, hugging his waist!
She couldn’t care about the inappropriate intimacy between them.
But she managed to stop Elias from the action of stepping on Chase’s waistband!
For a moment.
He wanted to cripple Chase!
As a descendant of the Perry Family, unable to control his mind, much less his lower half.
"Elias Warner! If you kill him, just because of someone like me, ruining both of you, do you think it’s worth it?" Annelise held him tightly, wishing to cling to him like a vine, preventing him from stepping forward.
She knew from a young age that Elias Warner was skilled in combat, having received militarized education as a child, so self-disciplined, training himself relentlessly.
She experienced his strength firsthand five years ago.
Therefore, she has to stop everything.
Chase is innocent by nature.
The only one at fault in this matter is her.
Elias glanced down coolly at the woman before him, "Let go!!"
"I won’t!"
Annelise not only refused to let go, but she also held him tighter, pressing herself against him, trying to push him back!
The softness of her body sank in.
The fury and coldness surrounding Elias intensified, his deep-set eyes obscure and unfathomable, his Adam’s apple rolling heavily.
"Annelise, don’t think that I’m hitting Chase because of jealousy."
His icy eyes spread with endless mockery, "You’re no longer that important."
"Beating him is because he’s courting death!"
His eyebrows knitted together, and he effortlessly pushed her aside!
Annelise felt a dull ache in her heart. Forcing herself to swallow back tears, "Fine, I’m not important, but stop hitting him! Take it out on me, spare Chase!"
"Forgot to tell you, five years ago, he was no longer my brother!"
On the ground, Chase, curling his body, was stabbed in the heart again by a word from Elias.
"Brother..."
"From today on, don’t call me brother!"
The next second.
A strong grip locked onto Annelise’s slender, fair wrist, seemingly without much force, yet making her feel as if her bones might shatter!
Immediately, she was dragged away!
"Elias Warner! What are you doing? Where are you taking me?"
Annelise was nearly being dragged as she staggered forward.
She did not want to go!
From the moment they started fighting, a crowd had gathered around.
Elias reminded her, "Didn’t you say you wanted to bear it for him? What, not sincere?!"
"I’m not insincere!" Annelise shook her head.
She was sincere, hoping that punishing her might make him feel a bit better.
It could help him let go of that disgraceful past sooner.
She is willing to accept punishment as long as he can vent his anger!
But right now, her daughter is still in the hospital.
Having just come out of surgery and not yet awake.
She cannot leave!
Her father is gone, and if she isn’t there, she can’t imagine how upset Luna would be to wake up and not see them.
But even as she tried to refuse, Annelise was directly thrown into the black Cullinan that had been parked all night.
Annelise struggled to get up.
She wanted to get out of the car, but she didn’t expect that in the next moment, the man’s tall and upright frame pressed in.
The tension and frost on him were still present.
In almost an instant, the temperature in the car dropped, and a heavy shadow enveloped them.
