Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!
Chapter 69: Making Her Cry in a Dream
CHAPTER 69: CHAPTER 69: MAKING HER CRY IN A DREAM
He seemed completely unmoved by her.
But no one knew how strong Elias Warner’s willpower was!
Even after the past five years, in the dead of night, he didn’t know how many times he’d made this woman cry in his dreams.
At this moment, he still remained unmoved.
Even though Elias Warner’s palms were already sweaty.
His forehead was also sweating.
His Adam’s apple moved as he almost, almost lost control to press her under him and bite her hard.
To ask, after all these years, has she missed him?
Who was more capable, him or Chase Perry?
Just then, "Knock knock!"
The sound of knocking echoed.
"Young master, the old lady has fallen ill and been hospitalized, you should go to the hospital quickly!" Unable to reach him by phone, Uncle Ford had no choice but to come upstairs stiffly.
Upon hearing this, the two of them suddenly stiffened.
The burning spark was extinguished by cold water.
Elias Warner finally stopped and didn’t continue, "Got it!"
Upon hearing the news of the old lady’s illness, Annelise Winter’s heart also tightened.
Elias Warner got up from the bed, casually picked a shirt from the closet and put it on.
Annelise Winter breathed a sigh of relief. Clearly, nothing had happened, but she appeared as if she had been seriously bullied.
Looking at the pitifully delicate woman, Elias Warner’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and he lowered his eyes and said, "Help me with my buttons!"
Annelise Winter didn’t want to defy him, so she got up from the bed and buttoned his collar for Elias Warner.
"Wait for me to come back, if I return and don’t see you, bear the consequences yourself!"
With those words, Elias Warner opened the bedroom door and went downstairs.
For some reason, staring at the empty bedroom, an inexplicable sense of loss engulfed her.
Until Elias Warner’s footsteps could no longer be heard, Annelise Winter stood at the bedroom window and watched as the black limousine disappeared into the heavy rain.
She looked around the bedroom.
The wardrobe, the bedside, there seemed to be no trace of any woman having been here.
Elias Warner was known for his cleanliness, so it was normal for there to be no traces, but she also wondered where his fiancée was.
Her mind was chaotic, and she didn’t want to sleep on this bed.
Annelise Winter went downstairs and lay down in the remotest guest room.
It was still raining outside, autumn being the rainy season.
The old lady had an illness that flared up just as it got cold, and Annelise Winter felt a heartache thinking about the old lady’s appearance.
She didn’t know how the old lady was doing. Back when she was childhood friends with Elias Warner, every time she visited the Warner Family,
the old lady always loved to hold her hand, chat with her, sometimes even give her tasty treats, just like a real grandmother.
Now, it had been a long time since they last had contact.
At this moment, in the VIP luxury ward at Kybourne First Municipal Hospital,
Uncle Ray stood with his hands crossed outside the suite of the hospital room.
Renee Perry sat frowning on the spacious sofa.
"Did you make the call? Has he arrived?"
"The young master should be on his way, but..." Uncle Ray trailed off.
"After urging so long, what could he possibly be doing?" Renee Perry was both anxious and angry, but didn’t dare to vent at her son.
"Because Miss Winter, she wasn’t at the apartment, she was at the young master’s villa!" Uncle Ray said.
"What?" Renee Perry suppressed her emotions, her beautiful eyes glaring over.
She suddenly felt dizzy, "I asked him to cultivate feelings with his fiancée, and not only did he drive her away, but he’s also with Annelise Winter! Annelise Winter is so disobedient! How dare she defy me!"
Renee Perry’s cold eyes glittered with a chill, her fingers gripped the cup tightly.
"It seems some measures need to be taken!"
Otherwise, her son would get hurt by Annelise Winter again!
Just as she finished speaking, Elias Warner pushed the door open and entered.
Renee Perry quickly collected her cold and stern expression, stood up, and met him with a worried face.
"Elias, why are you only just arriving?"
"How’s Grandma?"
"Your grandma is fine; it’s your girlfriend, did you know after you argued with her last night, she got into a car accident on the way back. She didn’t want me to tell you, you should go see your girlfriend, she’s in the ward upstairs, have a good talk, show her some care."
"You’re lying to me?!"
Elias Warner frowned.
"What’s the matter? It’s your girlfriend who got into a car accident. Aren’t you concerned at all? It was raining so hard last night, and you drove her out of the marital home?"
Renee Perry grabbed her son, and Elias Warner stopped.
He didn’t turn around, only said coldly, "I’ll handle things between me and her, Mom, you don’t need to interfere."
"What kind of talk is that? Last time at the meeting between our parents, you left her at the hotel alone, and now because of you, she drove and got into a car accident! Elias, you should take responsibility for this!"
Renee Perry began to manipulate him.
Elias Warner replied coldly, "I’ll say it one last time, don’t meddle in my relationships! Unless you want me to go back to South Surina?"
"You!" Renee Perry clutched her chest, feeling the pain.
Elias Warner calmed his emotions: "If you want to visit, let Uncle Ray go. I’ll just take a look at Grandma and go!"
"Why are you in such a hurry to leave?"
Renee Perry was infuriated at the thought of Annelise Winter still being at the villa.
She really was a lingering spirit that wouldn’t go away.
"The flight schedule for tomorrow can’t be delayed!"
With those words, he went to Grandma’s ward and closed the door.
Renee Perry clutched her chest and fell onto the sofa.
This son was becoming more rebellious.
"Madam, are you alright?" Uncle Ray expressed his concern.
"Look at him, is this even reasonable? At this rate, will the wedding ever happen?!" Renee Perry spoke in a low voice.
"I know you’re anxious, but don’t worry, the young master won’t repeat past mistakes!"
Uncle Ray reassured her.
"Ah, hopefully!" Renee Perry sighed.
Renee Perry calmed her emotions and instructed Uncle Ray, "Send someone to keep an eye on Elias’s villa. Annelise Winter is there now, find out what she’s up to!!"
"Yes, madam!"
In the hospital room, Elias Warner walked to the old lady’s bedside and held her hand.
The old lady was much better in both her mood and her spirits now.
Seeing Elias Warner, her eyes smiled along with her.
"Elias, what are you doing here? I’m alright, I’m alright, go deal with your own things! You’ve wasted all your time accompanying this old lady while you’ve been back!"
"Grandma, what are you saying? The most important thing right now is your health."
Elias Warner frowned; he had been close to his grandma since he was young.
"I heard from your mom that you have a suitable match from a family of equal status? I heard she got into a car accident and is hospitalized? Did you go see her? You can’t neglect her and break a girl’s heart!"
The old lady urged earnestly.
"Grandma!"
Elias Warner hadn’t expected his mom to persuade his grandma to talk to him.
Seeing Elias Warner unmoved, the old lady let out a cold snort and began sulking, "Will you go or not? If you don’t, I won’t seek treatment, just let me wait for death!"
Once the old lady got stubborn, she meant what she said.
The greatest worry for the old lady over the past few years was her precious grandson.
"Alright, Grandma, I’ll go, isn’t that enough?"
