CHAPTER 71: CHAPTER 71: RENEE PERRY FORCES HER TO GO ABROAD

"Ma’am!"

Uncle Ford turned to look at the door, discovering Renee Perry was leading Uncle Ray into the villa.

As she walked, she instructed Uncle Ford, "Uncle Ford, my kitty ran away just now, please help me find it!"

"Yes, Ma’am." Uncle Ford had no choice but to comply.

Annelise Winter’s whole body turned rigid, her heartbeat stopped at that moment!

She knew that if Renee Perry discovered that she actually stayed overnight at Elias Warner’s villa, it would be a huge problem.

But now, there was nowhere to hide.

"Don’t even think about running, how come? You dare to do such a filthy thing and still plan to hide from me?"

Renee Perry raised her voice, clearly showing her fury over Annelise staying overnight at Elias Warner’s place.

"You’ve misunderstood, I wasn’t trying to run..."

Annelise clenched the chopsticks in her hand tightly and stood up with her red lips pressed tight.

"Misunderstood? What did I misunderstand? Elias moved against the Alden Family for you, causing Herbert Alden to go bankrupt. The Alden Family has now been removed from Aris, all due to you destroying them overnight."

Renee Perry was furious, seemingly brooding over the incident with Herbert Alden.

She felt Elias Warner was making a mountain out of a molehill for Annelise Winter.

Things had gotten out of her control.

Annelise could never have imagined that Elias would go so far as to remove the Alden Family from Aris for her!

Facing Renee’s derision, Annelise gritted her teeth.

She didn’t expect this place to be his matrimonial home.

Uncle Ray walked over to Annelise with a file folder, handing over the photos of Elias Warner and his fiancée.

Annelise frowned.

Taking the photo, her hand trembled with unease.

She had imagined all night last night, wondering what her sister-in-law looked like, and how Elias Warner’s attitude toward her was.

Was this the answer she was about to see?

"Did you see? He left the villa last night, not to see his grandmother, but to meet his fiancée! You should realize he only considers you a plaything! I really feel ashamed for your brother to have a sister like you!"

Renee’s words made Annelise’s head buzz.

So, last night, he went to see his fiancée?

Annelise withdrew her hand from the file folder.

"What’s the matter? Afraid to look?"

Renee sneered.

"I’ll only say this once, sever all ties with Elias, otherwise your brother, your grandfather, and your grandmother—all three of their lives will be sacrifices for your rebellion against me!"

Five years ago, Renee used the lives of these three innocent people to force the inexperienced Annelise to give in.

She was only twenty years old at the time, had nothing, and just a little scare from Renee was enough to make her compromise.

She didn’t expect Renee to use that tactic again five years later.

But Renee was right.

Elias Warner had a fiancée; she’s standing here only because of his hatred!

For Annelise, this was the best outcome.

Annelise sighed mournfully.

Leaving Uncle Ray to wait for her.

Annelise lifted her head to gaze at Elias Warner’s villa, indeed decorated warmly and homely, unlike his style.

If she had known earlier this was someone else’s matrimonial home.

Annelise lowered her eyes, staring at the file folder in her hand, should she look at these photos?

As long as she opened it, she could see the scenes of him with his fiancée.

His fiancée was surely beautiful, came from a good family, well-matched with him.
