Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!
Chapter 75: Dressing Like That to Seduce Him
CHAPTER 75: CHAPTER 75: DRESSING LIKE THAT TO SEDUCE HIM
Will he find out?
"Through a paternity test, even though it can prove you’re not Luna’s father, it can clearly show that you and Luna are related!"
Chase Perry and Elias Warner are brothers, both carrying half of the Perry Family’s blood.
Chase Perry is actually Luna’s uncle.
How could they not be related?
"Yes, you understand him well. Don’t worry, I’ve got this under control. I’ll find a way to stop him from finding out anything."
"Alright, thank you!"
"No need to thank me, Annelise. I’ve always said that if you need my help, I’m willing to go through fire and water for you!"
"Chase, don’t say that. I owe you too much! Once we’re through this, please don’t see Luna again. I’m begging you! As for what I owe you, if you need me, I’ll always be there for you!"
If this situation didn’t also involve Chase, Annelise wouldn’t have contacted him, let alone ask for his help.
Chase is not only her friend but also her benefactor.
She only hopes that one day in the future, she’ll have the chance to repay him.
"Alright, it’s my fault this time for being careless."
The call ended.
But Chase’s hand remained on the phone for a long time, unable to pull away.
The autumn night wind tonight was strong.
The vast sky had no stars in sight.
Just like Elias Warner’s mood as he sat in the car, bleak and dark.
That year, he ran into the room to see Chase and Annelise embracing, as if locked in a fervent kiss, their clothes halfway off.
Annelise’s bare shoulder was cradled in Chase’s arms.
The cold wind blew in through the half-open car window, Elias suppressed his emotions, his jaw tense, neck veins bulging!
A fire raged in his chest, erupting with a beep when his elbow hit the steering wheel.
To this day, he couldn’t understand why Annelise betrayed him back then.
Clearly, since they were young, they had been engaged, destined to be married.
Clearly since she was eighteen, she had been provoking him, enticing him, clinging to him, monopolizing him.
Yet after dangling him along, she turned and fell into Chase’s embrace!
Even his brother!
Elias took a deep breath; he could let it go, let her have her happiness.
But today, the little girl he saw at the hospital, there’s something about her that just felt familiar.
Only upon comparison did he realize how much the little girl resembled Chase.
Is this the man she carefully chose?
After five years, he was now desperate to know if she knew Chase had a child outside, and if she ever regretted her choice!
Elias’s eyes reddened as he finally lit a cigarette and took a deep drag, as if the nicotine had a numbing effect.
Perhaps only by doing so could he feel a little better inside.
Suddenly, the sound of his phone interrupted his thoughts.
As he looked down, to his surprise, it was a video call from the culprit, Annelise.
His expression immediately darkened, waiting a while before he answered the call.
What he didn’t expect was that the scene in the video would be so surprising.
In the video, Annelise was wearing a cool, black spaghetti strap nightgown, her bare shoulders exposed, her long neck pale, pure yet seductive, like an alluring fairy in the night.
At that moment, Elias’s entire body tensed up!
Yet in his mind, the image of Chase and Annelise together resurfaced.
He imagined her dressing like this, or even less, in front of Chase.
The coldness in his dark eyes intensified, a glacier-like chill.
Suddenly, he realized the background behind Annelise wasn’t his villa.
Elias tugged roughly at his tie, pretending not to notice this beautiful sight.
With a cold expression, he stared at the back of the chair, handsome yet lazy.
In a low, indifferent voice, he asked, "Where are you?!"
Annelise did it on purpose, dressing like this to seduce Elias.
She wanted to divert Elias’s attention, shift his anger onto herself.
Also to test him.
To see if he was investigating Luna’s parentage. She bit her lip, deliberately posed, letting one of the straps slip off her shoulder.
She explained, "I called to tell you I’m at the old house. It wasn’t my idea; Ms. Warner found out I stayed at your place that night, and she told me to come to the old house to stay. I couldn’t refuse!"
Elias’s expression turned colder, as he sneered, "So why are you video calling me in the middle of the night wearing such revealing clothes? Where’s your dignity and self-respect?"
Since reuniting, hasn’t she always avoided him like the plague?
What is she doing now?
His words left Annelise pale and white.
Although she had prepared to attract his anger before the call,
she hadn’t expected his mood to be this bad right now.
"Before returning home, I hope you can move back yourself. Figure out a way!"
Pop!
Elias hung up the call with a stern face, leaving Annelise feeling defeated and hurt.
She anticipated his bad mood but not to this extent.
Because she knew Elias too well. When he wanted to do something, he never dilly-dallied.
So when Elias wanted to check the paternity test between Luna and Chase, he would certainly not waste time.
The bad premonition in her heart grew stronger.
Just then, Chase’s call came again.
"You really do know my brother too well. He’s indeed had someone check the DNA test results between me and Luna. Don’t worry, I’ll handle this! I won’t leave any traces!" Chase assured Annelise.
"Or should I have someone transfer Luna to another hospital? After all, since my brother knows Luna is here, he’ll visit her often. This time we barely got away, but that doesn’t mean something won’t go wrong in the future. Besides, Luna seems to be very attached to him. Or do you want them to recognize each other as father and daughter?"
"No, I absolutely disagree with taking the risk of moving Luna out of the hospital at this time! She’s just come out of the sterile ward, and it would be very dangerous for her to change environments abruptly!"
"Then we have to prepare for the worst."
"If he really finds out Luna is his child, then so be it. But I can’t disregard Luna’s life. I can’t gamble; Luna is my life, I can’t take such a risk!"
Annelise refused.
"It will be fine; I won’t let anything happen to Luna!"
But just after Chase hung up the phone,
he turned and saw June Winter standing at the door in shock.
Chase and she locked eyes.
"When did you come in? What did you hear?"
Chase’s eyes turned icy, coldly staring at June, asking bluntly.
