Landing on Her Heart: Mr. Warner, Let's Get Back Together!
Chapter 93: Daddy, Let’s Call Mommy
CHAPTER 93: CHAPTER 93: DADDY, LET’S CALL MOMMY
"Captain... Captain Warner... Is this your child?" Jayce Jennings stared in surprise at the child in Elias Warner’s arms.
The child looked really like Elias Warner.
"What nonsense are you talking?"
Elias Warner glared coldly at Jayce Jennings.
Jayce Jennings promptly shut his mouth.
Not daring to say anything further.
Elias Warner held Luna and walked out of the airport.
He casually made a call to Flora.
Because last time, after accompanying Luna for her surgery at the hospital, he had exchanged contact information with Flora.
Although, because of Luna’s mother, he decided not to get involved again in the future.
But since the child ran out to find him, he had the responsibility to safely return her to the hospital.
Nothing more.
Flora was anxiously asking the police for information and unexpectedly received Elias Warner’s call.
Luna was indeed with Elias Warner.
"Ah, I just flew back to Breslin, saw Luna at the airport, I’m sending her back now!"
"Thank you, Mr. Warner!"
Flora was very grateful to Elias Warner.
Elias Warner left the airport and got into a taxi.
Luna clung tightly to Elias Warner’s neck with both her hands.
"Daddy, are you sending me back? Are you leaving again? Do you and mommy not want me anymore? I want you and mommy to live together. Last time, you clearly said you were waiting for me. Why didn’t you come to see me later?"
Elias Warner felt somewhat ashamed, facing the accusations of a little girl.
He didn’t know what to say.
Although the lie last time was just an offhand remark.
Nevertheless, he had indeed deceived her.
Elias Warner reached out his large hand and rubbed Luna’s soft head.
"Daddy had urgent matters, so couldn’t keep the promise. What about your mother?"
Elias Warner still wanted to meet Luna’s mother.
That extremely irresponsible mother.
"Mom hasn’t contacted me for a long time either!" Luna pouted, choked up.
"Do you know your mom’s phone number?"
Elias Warner couldn’t wait any longer, wanting to contact Luna’s mom right now.
"I do, I can video call mom!"
Luna was a bit happy being able to tell mom through video that she had found daddy.
Domestic hospital room.
Annelise Winter anxiously wanted to leave, but Wayne Young had people confine Annelise Winter in a separate hospital room.
There were guards outside.
These people weren’t just Wayne Young’s, most of them were Renee Perry’s.
The phone rang; it was Flora.
"Flora, how is it? Has Luna been found?"
Annelise Winter’s eyes brimmed with tears; she was so desperate she wanted to escape through the room’s window.
"Don’t worry, Annelise, Luna has been found. Mr. Warner found her; Luna went to the airport to find him."
Annelise Winter was startled, hurriedly asking: "What? Flora, why did she go to find Elias Warner? Did Elias Warner take her out?"
"No, Annelise, Luna probably saw on TV that Mr. Warner’s plane was landing at night, so she went to find him!"
Annelise Winter hadn’t paid attention to the news on her phone.
So she wasn’t aware that Elias Warner had encountered extreme weather.
"It’s because of the storm above Breslin, Mr. Warner, relying on years of experience and a calm mindset, saved the lives of everyone on the plane. This incident was broadcast live on platforms, so Luna must have seen it."
"I see! Thank you, Flora!"
Annelise Winter was very grateful to Flora.
"Annelise, don’t thank me; this mistake almost led to an irreparable situation."
"It’s not your fault; it’s all because of me!"
Annelise Winter felt very guilty, not having seen Luna for a long time.
She didn’t even have time to be by Luna’s side during such a major surgery.
Annelise Winter’s eyes were moist.
Such a small child, following her, had indeed suffered too much.
"Alright, don’t blame yourself, Mr. Warner will bring Luna back soon. When she’s back, I’ll let her video call you!"
Flora smiled.
Hearing news about Luna made her happy.
After all, Flora had watched this little kid grow up.
She suffered too much in the hospital.
The two didn’t continue chatting.
Just as Annelise Winter hung up the phone, another call came in.
She thought it was Flora again, but it turned out to be Luna.
But the number was Elias Warner’s.
She hurriedly searched the room for something to conceal her identity.
In a drawer, she found a new mask, which she immediately put on.
She covered her eyes with a mess of hair and scrunched her hair randomly.
She picked up her phone to check.
Great, now even she might not recognize herself.
Elias Warner, seeing his phone incessantly ringing, frowned; this mother was really as he thought, probably unwilling to take responsibility.
So, he called Chase Perry.
Chase Perry was still in Breslin and hadn’t returned to the country.
Just that he was also looking for Luna.
He hadn’t received news that Luna was found.
Seeing Elias Warner’s call, he felt inexplicably annoyed.
"Brother? What’s up?"
Obviously, he was anxious, afraid that Elias Warner’s call would occupy the line and prevent other calls from getting through.
He wouldn’t be able to get news about Luna.
"Chase Perry, your daughter ran out of the hospital and you didn’t know?"
"What? You’re saying Luna? Brother, how do you know she ran out?"
Chase Perry was surprised and happy at the same time.
Could Luna be with him?
"Chase Perry, you still say you’re not Luna’s dad? Even if you want to marry into the Winter Family, you shouldn’t be so heartless, right?" Elias Warner initially didn’t quite believe that paternity test result, always feeling that Luna had a connection with Chase Perry, and sure enough, pushing him revealed the truth.
"Brother, what are you saying? I don’t understand!" Chase Perry asked.
"Don’t understand? Your daughter is with me now. Should I send her to the hospital or will you come get her? She’s always thinking about her dad!"
Elias Winter stared at Luna’s tender little face.
"My daughter? Ha, brother, how could I have a daughter!" Chase Perry said confidently.
"Chase Perry, who are you talking to?"
A woman’s voice came from Chase Perry’s end.
Elias Warner frowned.
"Nothing, brother, I’m hanging up now!"
Chase Perry didn’t continue discussing the child with Elias Warner.
He was afraid that June Winter would hear him discussing the child with Elias Warner.
So he quickly hung up.
"You were on the phone with Uncle Perry?" Luna’s childish voice rose.
"Uncle Perry?" Elias Warner was puzzled.
"Yes, Uncle Perry. Mommy said I’m not allowed to bother Uncle Perry anymore."
Sure enough, Chase Perry was still a scoundrel.
He had let down more than one woman.
"Luna, I’ll take you back. Your mom isn’t answering your video call!"
Elias Warner wasn’t surprised at all.
A mom who could leave her daughter in the surgery room and not come back would hardly answer Luna’s call.
"Let’s go, Luna, your mom won’t answer your call!"
"I don’t believe it, she’ll definitely answer!"
Luna tried calling again.
The video call connected.
Elias Warner looked toward the video call.
