Leave Me Alone, Big Brothers! [BL]
Chapter 30: Dramatic Rescue
CHAPTER 30: DRAMATIC RESCUE
"Don’t think you’ll leave here alive without the money!" shouted the kidnapper, eyes wide with anger.
"Malvin..." Nathan was terrified because the man was walking toward Malvin. His eyes widened when one of the kidnappers grabbed a stick and swung it at his brother.
Nathan and Nael both screamed. But it was too late.
The stick hit Malvin’s neck, and it looked extremely painful.
Malvin fell to the floor. Unconscious.
Silence filled the room.
Nathan and Nael were too shocked to speak.
A few moments later, they reacted.
"MALVINN!!" Nathan tried to run to his brother, but a man held him back.
"You killed him!!" Nathan shouted hoarsely.
Hearing that, Nael also panicked. "Malvinnnn, don’t die...!!"
"It looks like he’s dead," said the man holding Nathan back. Nael was still in another man’s arms.
Nathan and Nael looked at each other in fear.
"Don’t try anything, or you’ll end up like him!" the man threatened when he saw Nathan struggling and kicking.
Hearing that, Nathan froze, breathing heavily. Adrenaline surged through him. He wanted to kill them, but what could he do? They were outnumbered and weaker.
The final part of their nightmare was about to unfold. The kidnappers grabbed Nathan and Nael’s hands.
"It looks like no one’s coming to save you. So I have no choice but to take you and skin you for your organs," one of the men said seriously.
Nael kept crying as he looked at Malvin, and cried even harder after hearing that.
Nathan was so angry and upset that he didn’t care about anything anymore. His life had been full of misery, so dying now wouldn’t surprise him. But he didn’t expect to die in such a tragic way.
"You’ll get a lot of money from my body. Take me. Let them go, I beg you," Nathan said, looking at Malvin, who was still motionless. He hoped he was alive. Of all his brothers, he liked Malvin the most.
Nael stopped crying when he heard Nathan’s words. Then he shook his head and sobbed again. "Don’t do that..."
"It’s better than both of us dying, you idiot!" Nathan snapped.
Then he stared at Nael. "You can go back to your normal life. Just think of me as a guest who stayed for a few days. I never saw myself as part of your family anyway."
Nael sobbed. "No, no! Just take me instead. Please free them..."
"No. I won’t live peacefully if you die."
"You think I can live happily if you die?!"
"You can."
"Nooo! I can’t! Why do you always think badly of me? How do I show you that I like you?" Nael cried.
Nathan felt there was no point arguing now, at the edge of death.
Nael looked at Nathan again, determined. "I’ve lived happily for seventeen years. Live happily too, with our brothers. I hope you’ll forgive us. Please live well. Goodbye... I really like you..."
Nael cried uncontrollably as he said his farewells. He looked at the kidnappers, who were patiently watching their drama.
Meanwhile, Malvin—who was pretending to be unconscious—was trying not to laugh, his stomach hurting from holding it in.
One of the men sighed. "Okay, I guess I’ll just take one kid."
"NOOO!!" Nathan shouted when they grabbed Nael. "Don’t take him!!"
Nathan struggled, but then he stopped when he saw men in black suits arriving.
Chaos broke out, happening so fast. Nathan was still shocked when a man pulled him away. Another man carried Malvin’s body.
"What? Who are you?" Nathan asked in the chaos.
"Don’t be afraid. Alexander ordered us to take you," the man said.
Hearing the name Alexander, Nathan fell silent. He saw the men in black quickly subdue the kidnappers.
He saw Nael being carried away safely by one of them. For some reason, he felt extremely relieved. Tears fell as his fear and frustration melted into relief.
They were safe, right?
Nathan stepped outside, gripping a man’s hand tightly. He saw Roger and Alexander standing in the courtyard.
"ROGERRRRR!!" Nael, not far away, ran toward him, and Roger hurried to greet him.
The man holding Nathan let go, and Nathan stood there with mixed feelings.
He was surprised when Alexander walked up to him and hugged him.
"Come here..." Alexander said softly.
Nathan let himself sink into his brother’s embrace. He stayed silent for a moment, processing everything, before finally crying and hugging Alexander tightly, hiding his face.
Alexander felt Nathan’s trembling body and stroked his back to calm him. "I’m here... I won’t let anything bad happen to you."
Nathan was still crying.
"Are you scared?" Alexander asked, hugging his brother.
Nathan immediately denied his weakness. Now that he knew he was safe, he said, "No, I’m not scared..." even though he was still sobbing and trembling.
Roger, still hugging Nael, almost laughed when he heard that.
Meanwhile, inside the building—
"Put the firecrackers here, here, and here. After the count of three, we’ll exit through the back door. Understand?" one of the men in black said.
The ’kidnappers’ nodded, adding some dramatic fake screams.
Nathan and Nael were walking to the car when they heard gunshots inside the building.
Nathan shuddered in horror, especially when he heard the screams. Were the kidnappers dead?
He looked at Alexander in the driver’s seat. The man was so calm. Could he really kill people so easily?
Whatever the truth was, that night the twins believed they had just escaped death.
Nathan frowned when he felt Nael hugging him. He still hadn’t recovered from the shock, so he allowed the boy to cling to him.
Alexander and Roger, sitting in the front, looked at each other, unable to hide their meaningful smiles.
Nathan suddenly remembered Malvin. "Malvin... what about him? What happened? Is he still alive?" he asked.
Roger tried to calm him down. "He was taken to the hospital. You don’t need to worry. I’m not sure about his condition, but he’s still alive. We’ll check on him tomorrow."
Nathan swallowed uncomfortably at the vague answer. "Can we go to the hospital? I want to see him," Nathan said.
Before Roger could answer, Alexander cut in. "No. You have to deal with me first. Why did you run away?"
Nathan immediately looked down, feeling guilty. Because of him, all of this had happened.
This time, Nael spoke. "We didn’t run away. We just went out for a walk. Then they kidnapped us," he lied. He glanced at Nathan. "Right?"
But Nathan stayed silent. He knew he was the one at fault.
Alexander stared out the middle window of the car. "You know how dangerous it is to go out without bodyguards. I hope you understand now why I insist that you take bodyguards with you wherever you go."
This might have been staged, but things like this could really happen. Alexander felt it was his responsibility to make them understand.
Nathan just nodded. It seemed he had to hold himself back from going anywhere. At least until the six months were over.
