Chapter b236 /b

Willow arrived home to find Heather anxiously waiting for her. She hadn’t slept well the entire night, worried about her.

Upon seeing her return, Heather quickly made a cup of coffee and invited her to sit down for a chat.

As they chatted, the subject turned to Landon. Willow smiled, though a trace of sadness lingered in

    her eyes.

She spoke softly, “Landon and Gabrie were born together, yet he’s a whole head shorter than Gabrie, and so much thinner. It’s clear he’s stillcking essential nutrients. He needs proper nutrition and care to improve.”

Upon hearing this, Heather also felt a pang of sadness. She spoke inly, expressing the need to take better care of him.

After a brief pause, Heather hesitated before broaching a delicate topic–Willow’s romantic life.

She knew about Patrick and how he had visited Willow many times while she was in Faeria. Patrick, a collector with a strong passion for art, had much inmon with Willow, and they always had stimting conversations.

Before she returned to the country, Willow had been slightly swayed by him.

But now, with Landon, things had changed. Heather wanted to know what was truly on Willow’s

    mind.

The aroma of coffee filled the air.

Willow’s demeanor was calm and gentle, and after a moment of contemtion, she spoke, “Julian and I are over. As for Patrick, there will be no future there either.

“My focus now is on Landon. I’ve missed so much with him, and I want to make up for all those lost days.” a

Heather tightly grasped Willow’s hand. After a moment of hesitation, she chose not to speak the

    truth.

As Timothy’s wife, she knew about the car ident that had left Julian crippled. She also felt indebted to him for once guaranteeing a 20 billion dor loan. Deep down, she had softened.

Yet, she didn’t want Willow to feel that she had to repay Julian. She only wanted her daughter to be happy.

Just then, Heather’s phone rang. It was Dorothy’s call.

In a couple of days, it would be Rowena Gibson’s third birthday. Her parents, Jeffrey and Rosabe, were hosting a party, and Dorothy had invited Timothy’s family to attend.

The two families were rted, so Heather epted the invitation warmly.

After hanging up bthe /bcall, she and Willow sat together, discussing what gift to buy for Rowena.

At Neb Group, in the CEO’s office, Julian sat in his office, holding the invitation that had been delivered by a messenger from the Gibson family. He looked at the gold–embossed writing on the elegant card.

Beside him, Esther sighed. “Time flies. Rowena is already three. I still sometimes see Mrs. Gibson out with her. The little girl looks just like her father quite the beauty.”

When Julian heard Rowena’s name, he thought of his cousinb, /bRosabe. After Rosabelle had given birth to Rowena, she had gone back to work.

The transformation from a young, innocent girl to a focused businesswoman had been quick. There were always rumors in the business world about how distant Rosabelle and Jeffrey’s marriage had be and how their rtionship seemed to be growing more and more strained.

Julian put the invitation down and picked up a file to review, but found himself distracted. His thoughts kept wandering back to Willow, and then to Jeffrey and Patrick.

Julian suddenly looked up from his desk and said to Esther, “Have the sign on the seventh floor removed. Change the number.”

Esther blinked. “You don’t want to call it seven? Then what should we call it?”

Julian furrowed his brow. “Can’t you think of something creative?”

“Something like… L6+1, or L8-1. Anything, just not the number seven.”

Esther was stunned. He thought, “Is that… even allowed?”

Still, she followed his instructions. Even the elevator buttons were altered per his request. Anywhere the number 7 appeared was changed to “+1“.

By the end of the day, the employees at Neb Group were buzzing with gossip.

Still, Julian couldn’t resist showing off his kids.

The official Neb Group ount posted a single photo on Twitter–an elegant white swan gliding across ake.

The caption simply read-“Gabrie & Landon.”

Long–time employees immediately recognized the names, Gabrie and Landon were Julian’s children.

Reclining in his chair, Julian casually scrolled through thements beneath the post.

Then, the office door swung open.

He didn’t need to look up. Only one person would bage in without knocking–Dexter.

Julian calmly tucked away his phone and nced toward him.

Dexter leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed a mocking smile on his face. “Why are you

sending me to Yarrowmere for a six–month business trip?

“You’ve always handled the business there. What’s changed? Willow’s back, and now you’re out of your mind again.”

Julian remained calm, even gentlemanly. “I have two children to take care of. I don’t have the time for Yarrowmere.

“You’re single–perfectly suited for the job. Besides, you’re still under scrutiny. I’m pretty sure if I mention it to Uncle Oswald and Aunt Nadia, they’ll pack your bags and send you straight to Yarrowmere.”
