Chapter b248 /b

Willow was stunned momentarily, her gaze drifting toward the window. Suddenly, she wanted to

    see Alicia.

Dusk fell, and the sky was filled with purplish clouds.

A ck luxury car slowly drove toward the gates of the private hospital. Because arrangements had been made in advance, the person in charge was already waiting at the entrance.

When the car stopped, that man gently opened the door. “Ms. Harper.”

Willow wore a thin ck trench coat, her dark hair tied up. She looked as if she were attending a

    funeral.

She nodded faintly and followed that man to a dark corridor. It was damp and chilly, apanied by the faint squeaking of rats.

That man pushed open a wooden door. With a dull ng, the green paint peeled off, showing that the door had been neglected for quite some time.

That man smiled. “Our funding’s a little tight here. Once we get more money, we’ll renovate. We’ll also rece the women’s locks inside with something bigger and sturdier.”

    Willow smiled faintly.

As the door slowly opened, she saw someone from the past.

Alicia was sitting on the bed in nothing but thin clothes. All four of her limbs were chained, restricting her movements to nearly nothing.

Not only that, a horrifyingly foul odor filled the single room.

That man was worried and said, “Ms. Harper, this ce is filthy. I doubt you’ll befortable here. Just take a quick look and be on your way.”

Willow reached into her handbag and took out a check for five million dors.

She said coldly, “Didn’t you say you needed money for renovation? Use this to take good care of Ms.

    Burke for me.”

That man understood immediately, grinning as he took the check, As he left, he added, “If this lunatic goes crazy, just call me. I’ll stuff a rag in her mouth.”

With that, the door was gently closed.

Sitting on the cold metal bed, Alicia’s eyes were cold and vicious. She looked disheveled, jealous of Willow’s radiance and wealth.

Why? Why was Willow the one who got everything?

Alicia let out a chillingugh. “Willow, why didn’t I knock you dead when I had the chance?”

Willow stepped closer, her gaze sweeping over Alicia’s pitiful state. And yet, it wasn’t enough.

Not only did this lunatic kill her grandmother, but she even doomed Landon to a life filled with hardships from a young age. She even shattered Willow’s family.

She deserved a life worse than death!

Willow had no expression on her face. She just looked at Alicia’s body from head to toe and noticed the tattered clothes that barely covered her and the suspicious bruises scattered across her skin.

Willow could tell that Alicia’s days here were torture.

A young, attractive woman, even one as filthy as Alicia, would still attract men’s attention.

Willow’s gaze made Alicia feel like she was nothing like a superior being looking down at her lowly life.

That was right. Willow was actually humiliating Alicia.

“What a pity that I didn’t die! You’re also lucky you didn’t die on this bed. This means fate is kind enough to let me witness you in this sorry state!

“Alicia, I’ve never met a woman more cruel and twisted than you. All in the name of love, you were willing to manipte and murder your own sister.

Hearing that, Alicia chuckled. “You mean that idiot Catherine? Yes, I used her and killed her. So what?

“Don’t act like you’re better than me, Willow. You and I are sisters as well. Don’t you want me dead too?”

Alicia looked deranged, as if she had nothing left to lose.

Willow lowered her gaze and said softly, “You’re wrong. I don’t want you dead. I want you to live a life worse than death!

“This ce is perfect. I’ll make sure they take good care of you, so you’ll live till you’re a hundred.

“For the rest of your life, you have plenty of time to carefullypare whether life here is better than when you were in Grandsburg. My dear sister.“.
