leaving you bereft

Willow frowned slightly.
Suddenly, her body was pressed against a searing heat.
A man’s hand covered hers, followed by a flurry of movements. Amidst the chaos, his burning face. hovered across her neck, his voice was husky as he asked, “What are you doing, running into a man’s bedroom first thing in the morning?”
Willow couldn’t break free, but she roughly guessed that Julian had a fever.
His body was pressed tightly against hers, but he didn’t cross the line. This kind of contact was enough to make her legs go weak. Especially since they shared countless memories of intimacy.
Willow’s voice was strained as she spoke, “I came to get Landon’s jacket.”
His thin lips brushed against her delicate neck.
A momentter, he shifted upward and found her lips, kissing her deeply. His voice was blurry and hoarse. “Then your timing couldn’t be better. Don’t move, let me kiss you.”
Willow swung her head side to side, but she couldn’t shake Julian off.
He arched his body and kissed her passionately, like he hadn’t touched a woman in his life.
He held her hand andced his fingers between hers, kissing her until they lost all reason.
In fact, men were simple creatures. When they lost their minds, their words became meaningless.
Julian was no exception.
He clung to Willow, his dark eyes revealing the dangerous charms of a mature man. He leaned close to her ear, whispering like a lover.
He told her that they could try for a baby right now, and there was no need for artificial insemination.
With a click, the lights turned out.
Willow shoved him away hard. She turned around and grabbed the doorknob, about to leave.
But before she could, his arms were already wrapped around her waist.
Julian finally calmed down. He rested his head on top of her delicate shoulder, slowly calming down his passionate desires.
His voice was low and hoarse. “From the moment you agreed toe back and agreed to have this child, I finally dared to hope again.
“My mind is filled with crazy images once again. Willow, I’m no saint, and I want to do things with
the woman I love.
“Let’s remarry. Not for Landon, but out of responsibility! I know that even with several children,
you can find someone amazing.
“But Willow, I can’t. I can’t find happiness elsewhere. Marrying anyone else would only be for the sake of having children.
“I don’t want to do it with someone else, and I don’t want to marry someone else! I don’t want to hold anyone else, I just want to hold you.”
Finally, Julian said it.
“All these years, I haven’t touched another woman. Not a single one. This arm is mangled and ugly, but I’ve worked hard on rehabilitation, so that one day, I can still hold you and the children.
“Willow, anything you like, I can satisfy you. I can give you the life you want.”
Neb Group had already hit a trillion–dor market cap. Julian was now the wealthiest man on the continent.
Everything he once dreamed of, he had achieved. But in the end, he realized the thing he wanted most was still Willow, the woman who once stood beside him through thick and thin.
He wanted to win her back, to make her smile, to bring her back to his side…
