On Julian’s third day in Yarrowmere, Willow went to the mall. Julian liked the shirts from Kitom, so she picked out two colors for him–ck and dark gray. He rarely wore white shirts, and most of the time, his clothes were tailored.

After she paid, the clerk started buttering her up. “You’ve got wonderful taste, Mrs. Ziegler. We’re getting a new batch of clothes next week, so you have toe and take a look. Mr. Ziegler looks amazing in this brand.”

Willow smiled. “Of course, I will.”

Women tended to love shopping, and Willow was no exception. She wanted to invite Heather out for coffee but wasn’t sure if Heather was busy.

Just when she was about to make ba /bcall, she heard a joyful voice calling out to her. “Willow!”

When she turned to look, she saw that it was Natalie and Jeffrey. Natalie had already forgotten what happened that night at the birthday dinner.

Willow would buy her dessert, so Natalie was very fond of her. Most people said that eating too much dessert would cause weight gain, but Willow wasn’t like that. Whenever she pestered Willow to talk to her, Willow would y along affectionately.

Jeffrey, who was standing to the side, silently stared at the bag in Willow’s hand, which contained men’s shirts from Kitom. He suddenly asked, “Did you buy those for him?”

Willow lightly nodded with no intention of dodging the question. “Yes. I bought these for Julian.”

Jeffrey’s gaze deepened. A momentter, he gave her a soft smile. “Julian has always gotten everything he wanted since he was a kid.”

That applied to both Neb Group and Willow.

Willow only smiled without any exnation. Meanwhile, Natalie shifted her gaze between Jeffrey and Willow. What was he talking about?

The chance encounter at the mall didn’t affect Willow that much. On her way home, she bought a bunch of white ca lilies, which she ced in a crystal vase on her bedside. They looked fresh, and ir gushed about how beautiful they were. Sheplimented Willow’s handiwork, too. Willow turned the vase with a light

smile on her face.

That night, she happened to get a call from Julian. When he went on business trips in the past, they rarely called each other unless it was for something important, but that night, Julian broke that rule.

At that moment, he was talking business with Timothy from Aurelia Group, who enjoyed drinking and had a high alcohol tolerance. Despite how experienced Julian was, he couldn’t turn down Timothy’s offer.

He heard the gentle voice bof /ba woman beside him. “Mr. Ziegler, allow me to drink with Mr. Chapman.” (1

bIt /bwas Eleanor, Timothy’s girlfriend. Relieved that she was taking over, Julian came up with an excuse to head to the lounge.

Esther followed him in worriedly. She closed the door behind them and squatted in front of Julian, quietly asking, “You drank too bfast /bjust now. Should I get you a warm towel?”

Julian leaned against the couch. His long legs were stretched out casually, and his handsome face was alluring. After some time, he let out a soft hum.

Esther headed to the bathroom to get him a warm towel. She could hear Julian’s resigned voiceing from outside.

“The way Ms. Sutton stopped me from drinking just now reminded me of the past. Willow used to do that, too. She can’t hold her alcohol at all, bbut /bshe always tries to take over for me.”

His voice grew hoarse toward the end of the sentence. Esther thought, “Mr. Ziegler is still human after all. He has human emotions and desiresb, /btoo. He still has feelings for Mrs. Zieglerb./bb” /b

The thought was rather touching to Esther, and she enthusiastically wiped Julian’s face down.

Julian red at her, but he didn’t get angry. Instead, he told her, b“/bThere’s ba /bviolinist who will be performing in Brindley on the 12th. Willow is ba /bhuge fan of himb, /bbso /bhelp me get two bof /bthe best bseats/bb./bb” /b
