In the early hours of the morning, Willow woke up.

The first thing she saw was Dominic’s concerned face. His first words were, “Your grandma woke up. God must have been moved by your sincerity and pulled her back from the gates of hell overnight.”

“Really?”

Willow leaned against the pillow, and tears streamed down her face uncontrobly.

Dominic tucked her in and assured her, “It’s true! Don’t rush to move. There are professional doctors and nurses taking care of her over there. But you, child, need to rest properly.

“Your blood sugar was dangerously low. If Julian hadn’t been with you, the consequences would’ve been unimaginable.”

Speaking of the devil, Julian pushed the door open and walked in.

His gaze met Willow’s.

When the two met eyes, everything became indescribable. The grief and determination Willow had before burning the car felt like the mes by the river. It was still burning, refusing to fade.

Even now, Julian’s heart had yet to settle.

After a long moment, he finally spoke in a hoarse voice, “I just came from Grandma’s room. She’s doing well. You should focus on recovering.”

With that, he walked into the bathroom.

Julian was wearing a light gray dress shirt, probably a fresh change from the middle of the night. The expensive fabric wrapped around his perfect frame, but when he turned around, the back of the shirt was stained with blood.

Willow couldn’t help but nce twice.

Dominic rubbed his nose and exined, “I hit him! Julian admitted his mistakes. You two should just go back to being a loving couple.”

Willow had been married to Julian for years. How could she not know what he was thinking?

He was ying the pity card again.

Too bad she wasn’t falling for it anymore.

Her mind was on Grace. After resting for a bit, she insisted on going to see her. No one could stop her.

In the end, Dominic had to give in. Luckily, it was just another wing of the hospital. She only needed to throw on a coat and walk over.

Willow pulled out her IV and was about to leave.

Outside, Liam and Mnie were arguing about her.

Mnie said angrily, “She bdoesn’t /bblove /bJulian at all. All she bcares /babout is the Ziegler family shares. She married into the family for the money.”

Liam sighed helplessly and tried to reason with her. “She’s not a fairy who can live on air. Let’s be real. Without her, would Julian be living thisfortably? We’d probably still be at the bmercy /bof Tyler and his wife. Would that make you happy?”

After thinking for a moment, he added gently, “I know what you’re thinking. You prefer that girl from the Burke family, but how could that work? With her condition, how could she continue the Ziegler bloodline? Dad would be the first to object,”

Mnie shot back, “Willow’s been married for years and hasn’t had a single child either.”

Liam was instantly at a loss for words.

At that moment, Willow stepped out with Julian right behind herb…. /b

The atmosphere became tense,

Mnie disliked Willow, but with Dominic aroundb, /bshe knew that if she provoked Willow, Dominic wouldn’t let her off. Just as she hesitated, Julian spoke indifferently, b“/bWe’ve been using birth control.”

Liam and Mnie exchanged nces.

After a while, Mnie’s voice turned sharp with suspicion. “Julian, you’re 28. How can you not want kids?”

Julian didn’t respond. He simply followed Willow to the ICU.

After they left, Mnie turned to her husband. “Julian must be lying to us, right? In the first two years, he was obsessed with having a child. He didn’t like Willow, but he still slept with her every month just to have one.”

Liam frowned. “Mind your own business. Stop gossiping about other people’s marriages.”
