CHAPTER 526: CHAPTER 526: LUO AN AGAINST 13 ENEMIES, THE FURIOUS AND SHOCKED CROWD

"Advance! Advance!"

"The cliff side has succeeded!"

The squad leader responsible for the cliff, with eight members, sped through the forest and quickly arrived at the location of the four communicators.

"Climb the cliff!"

The captain waved his hand, a few members quickly took out ropes and other equipment to prepare to climb; others were on alert, while two moved to the side of the communicators, reached out and prepared to slap them:

"Hey, you..."

Boom!

Boom!

The bodies, triggered by booby traps, exploded before they could react.

"Alert!"

"Fu-k!"

"What’s going on?"

The remaining enemies were startled and quickly got up from the ground to keep watch, looking at the six subordinate bodies scattered on the ground. The squad leader’s face turned grim, and after a few seconds of silence, he shouted loudly:

"Whoever is alive, sound off!"

"1!"

"2!"

When the count reached "5", there was no continuation, and everyone’s expressions changed instantly.

Out of 13 people, 6 were dead. Including the captain, there should have been 7 left, so the count should have gone up to "6".

They quickly checked their comrades surrounding them and, as expected, another familiar face was missing.

"Damn it! When did he go missing?"

"I didn’t see!"

"Who’s the enemy? Where are they?"

The remaining five members, controlled by panic, hurriedly huddled back-to-back, holding their rifles and cautiously scanning the surroundings.

The squad leader’s forehead broke out in sweat as he commanded with his rifle:

"Pair up in twos, search carefully!"

"Understood!"

The six men split into three pairs, back to back with their rifles, and entered the jungle for a meticulous search. Suddenly, the group on the far left saw Luo An squatting in the bushes handling the bodies, their faces lighting up with excitement.

But as the two of them spotted Luo An, Luo An saw them too, and his movements were much faster than the enemies. As they turned their gun barrels, Luo An had already pulled the trigger.

Bang! Bang!

Two enemies were shot in the forehead, their bodies going limp and falling backward.

"The enemy is here!"

Bang bang bang—

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sound of Luo An killing the two enemies immediately drew the attention of the remaining four, who instantly fired their guns toward Luo An’s position.

Luo An quickly stood to flee, but he was hit in the left calf by one of the many bullets fired in a flash by the enemy.

"I hit him!"

One of them said, elated at the sight, and hurried over with his comrade to capture Luo An. But as the two passed a large tree and lifted the underbrush, they found no trace of Luo An.

"What’s going on?"

"Where is he?"

[I’m right here.]

From behind the large tree to their side, Luo An emerged in answer to their question, smile curling his lips, in the terrified gaze of the two enemies, Luo An raised his weapon and pulled the trigger.

Bang!

A bullet fired from the gun barrel pierced the heads of both enemies from the side, splattering two glaring streams of blood.

Two more enemies were killed, leaving only the squad leader and one member running over. Seeing the scene, they aimed their guns at Luo An’s position without hesitation and frantically pulled the trigger.

Bang bang bang—

Countless bullets were fired in succession, shredding the underbrush and adding a multitude of bullet holes to the trees.

Watching in disbelief, Luo An grabbed one of the enemies just killed, using the body as a shield against the hail of bullets while taking cover behind the tree. Then he forcefully threw the corpses at the captain and the member.

"Fu-k!"

The captain and member were shocked by Luo An’s strength, cursed loudly, and quickly ceased firing to dodge to the side. Seizing this chance, Luo An’s figure moved rapidly, like a ghost, to the side of the two, raising his weapon and killing the member.

The remaining squad leader reacted swiftly, dove to the distance to avoid Luo An’s bullets as Luo An killed the member, and threw a grenade at Luo An.

Boom!

The grenade exploded thunderously, and Luo An, using his "emotional perception" in his mind, dodged out of the way one step ahead, moving beside the captain, whose face was full of astonishment.

Bang bang bang—

The captain, in a surprise attack, managed to throw Luo An’s rifle aside. Luo An took the chance to disarm the captain of his rifle, pistol, and dagger, and then it was back and forth. Luo An, wielding the dagger, began to engage in close quarters combat with the now unarmed captain.

Ducking a stab aimed at his throat, the empty-handed captain cursed loudly and quickly rolled over to pick up a wooden stick to retaliate.

Luo An dodged the stick and delivered a heavy kick to the captain’s waist. Under the monstrous force, the captain uncontrollably stumbled backward, his waist smashing against a horizontally fallen tree trunk.

"Ah—"

The sound of breaking bones rang out, and severe pain from his waist made the captain scream loudly. Luo An, not wasting words, lifted the dagger and slashed toward the other man.

The captain, using the last of his strength, blocked the dagger, looking at Luo An with eyes full of shock and fear, and asked with effort:

"Mother fu-ker... who the hell are you?"

"Go to hell and ask."

Luo An grinned and forcefully pressed the dagger down.

Shhh—

The cold light flashed, the dagger sliced across, blood burst from the neck, a large amount of liquid bubbled from his mouth, the squad captain’s body shuddered violently for an instant, and then he slumped to the ground, completely breathless.

"Huh—"

With all the enemies dead, Luo An also sat down on the ground and quickly lifted his clothes to treat his injuries.

The effects of the [Painkiller Agent] were too good. Luo An knew he was injured but had no idea of the exact location. He didn’t want to have killed all the enemies only to die here due to excessive blood loss from his wounds.

————

On the other side, Captain Cyrus had already led his team to the island, using a surprise attack and coordinating with Winslow and others inside the position to successfully eliminate the twenty or so enemies on the outer perimeter.

"Thank you."

The people inside the position instantly breathed a sigh of relief. Chenier quickly expressed her gratitude to Captain Cyrus and the others. Captain Cyrus didn’t find the target, Group Leader Luo An, inside the position and urgently asked:

"Where is Group Leader Luo An?"

"He’s at the cliffs behind."

Mona exhaled, wiped the dust off her face, and briefly explained the presence of enemies at the back at that time.

"Let’s hurry and find Group Leader Luo An."

Captain Cyrus was about to head to the cliff when Winslow suddenly reached out to stop him, saying solemnly:

"Group Leader Luo An is not on the cliffs."

As soon as the words fell, Mona, Chenier, Captain John, and the others all turned to look at him. Captain Cyrus frowned:

"What do you mean?"

Winslow took a deep breath and briefly recounted the plan Luo An had described earlier and the orders he had given.

After hearing Winslow’s description, the atmosphere on the scene became utterly silent.

Captain John and his teammates stood in disbelief, the eyes of Captain Cyrus and the others were filled with shock and admiration, while the captured Hamidun and Jesper were also dumbfounded.

"Winslow!!!"

Smack—

Chenier slapped Winslow across the face, shouting angrily:

"Are you ***ing insane? There are over a dozen enemies over there! You let Group Leader Luo An go by himself?! Why didn’t you tell us!"

Winslow, having received a slap, remained silent. As a man, and having worked for so long in the Hostage Rescue Team, he understood Luo An’s thoughts.

Chenier, like a madwoman, furiously berated Winslow, then suddenly froze, looking anxiously at Mona.

Mona stood trembling on the spot, her eyes red, and her lips tightly shut, saying nothing.

Seeing Chenier looking at her and Winslow ready to speak, Mona didn’t bother with them and turned to walk out of the position, preparing to go around and search for Luo An at the bottom of the cliff.

Using all her strength, Chenier kicked Winslow fiercely and then quickly dashed to follow Mona.

Halfway there, Chenier remembered something, stopped in her tracks and turned to shout back:

"Winslow! You ***ing hurry up and contact Luo An with the communicator!"

She had almost forgotten about the communicator in her distress.

"OK!"

Winslow quickly got up from the ground and responded. The battle had been too intense, everyone’s communicators had been put away.

Captain Cyrus left a few people behind to take care of the wounded and guard the hostages like Hamidun and Jesper, then led the rest of the members toward the cliff, taking the shortest route in search of Luo An.

Captain John took a deep look at the distant cliff, suppressed the admiration in his heart, and hastened to follow.

Several injured team members fumbled for medical supplies and bandages, hastily treating their own wounds. Not bothering whether the bullets were still inside their bodies, they all supported each other and moved beside Winslow, fixated on the communication device in his hands.

Having prepared the communicator and opened the communication channel, Winslow pressed the button:

"Group Leader Luo An, how are you?"
