"Do you have a way?"

Seeing Luo An's easy smile, Reesi's eyebrows raised as she curiously asked:

"What are you planning to do?"

"You go ahead with the action first, and you'll find out later."

Luo An smiled, didn't answer Reesi's question immediately, patted her shoulder indicating her to hurry and act, then walked towards a nearby coffee machine.

"Such mysteriousness..."

Reesi muttered softly, but still immediately returned to her desk, grabbed her things, and quickly left the office area.

Winslow and Chenier followed closely behind, and soon the office area was left with only Mona typing on the keyboard.

Near the coffee machine, Luo An watched the machine in operation, waited for a long time, and then took out his phone to call someone:

"Good afternoon, Chief, it's me, Luo An..."

————

At 5:30 PM, in an office in East Manhattan, New York, the bald and high-nosed Aden Crane stretched lazily, having finished his work for the day.

Ding-a-ling—

Just then, the phone on his desk suddenly rang. Aden Crane, while pouring himself coffee, picked up the phone:

"Hello."

"Hello, is this Mr. Aden Crane?"

A strange male voice came from the other end of the line, with some background noise, the man quickly spoke over the phone:

"I am from the NYPD, are you the owner of Villa 042 in a certain community in Long Island?"

Hearing the name of the villa, Aden Crane paused in pouring his coffee, his face changed for a moment, but his tone remained steady, he asked:

"Yes, what's wrong?"

"I'm terribly sorry, Mr. Crane."

The noise on the other end diminished as it seemed like the NYPD officer had moved away from the scene, and he sincerely said:

"We previously arrested a wanted criminal, but during the arrest, the suspect drove a stolen car into the villa area, causing a lot of damage.

Your villa, its fence, lawn, and parts of the walls have been damaged by grenades and bullets.

We found you've insured this villa, I suggest you send someone over to inspect the site, or directly allow your insurance company to deal with us, and we will discuss the compensation reasonably.

Of course, we will also send someone to your villa to help assess the damages..."

"What?"

Hearing the words from the NYPD, Aden Crane's pupils constricted, did not immediately hang up the phone, but took out his mobile phone to call the property management staff of that community.

The call was quickly answered, but the voice was not the familiar community manager, instead a strange male voice.

The person on the line claimed to be from the FBI, the phone's owner was unfortunately injured by a grenade and has been taken to the hospital, if necessary, he could temporarily discuss matters.

"Damn it!"

Aden Crane immediately hung up the phone, cursed softly, then immediately turned back to the telephone and said:

"I'm coming over now."

"You are coming in person? Okay, Mr. Crane, and the insurance company..."

Without waiting for the NYPD to finish speaking, Aden Crane hung up the phone, muttered a few curses, grabbed his coat and mobile, and quickly left the office.

As he was going downstairs, he pressed his phone's keys to call his wife:

"Audrey, I might be home late tonight, NYPD just called me... No need, I'll handle it myself..."

Meanwhile, on the other side, in the quiet villa area, Leide turned around shaking his mobile phone, laughing:

"Luo An, that guy said he is coming right away, didn't call the insurance company."

"Exactly as expected."

Luo An smiled and nodded, lightly punched Leide's chest:

"Thank you for your help this time."

The call Luo An made earlier was to contact Augustus, the Chief of Investigation Team 5 at the New York FBI Branch, hoping he could lend a hand.

Augustus agreed without hesitation, sending Leide, the highly experienced agent familiar to Luo An and his team.

"Small matter."

Leide laughed, punched Luo An's chest back, then looked towards the undamaged villa nearby, raised his eyebrows, and asked:

"It's been a while since we worked together, what do we do next? Do we raid that villa directly?"

Luo An smiled and nodded, pulling out a search warrant from his pocket, then added:

"But before that, I need to make a phone call."

With that, Luo An took out his phone, found a number and dialed:

"It's me, Luo An, you can make the arrest now."

"No problem!"

On the other end of the phone, Reesi, who had been waiting for a long time under a high-rise in the Manhattan District, chuckled and immediately agreed.

After hanging up, Reesi waved to a few temporarily seconded FBI agents behind him, and the group quickly walked towards the nearby parking lot, stopping Aden Crane who was about to get into his car.

Reesi shook the golden badge in her hand and said coldly:

"Hello, FBI."

Aden Crane was startled for a second, then his face turned extremely ugly.

He did not struggle or resist, but simply said quietly:

"I won't say anything until my lawyer arrives."

Meanwhile, in the villa area, after hanging up the phone, Luo An didn't waste any more time and simply gestured:

"Action!"

"Understood!"

Knowing that there was no one in the villa nearby, the operation team was small.

Besides Luo An and Lead, there were only 7 agents from the forensic division.

Bang—

Kicking open the villa's door, Luo An and Lead, just like during their time in Investigation Team 5, held their pistols and quickly checked each room with a clear division of labor.

"Bedroom secure!"

"First floor secure!"

"Second floor secure!"

"Basement secure!"

With all rooms confirmed empty, Luo An and Lead holstered their weapons and signaled for the forensic agents to enter the villa.

It wasn't long before a few forensic agents found a safe under a cabinet in the storeroom on the first floor.

The agents took out professional equipment to crack the safe, and in less than ten minutes, they had the safe door open.

As soon as the safe was opened, Lead immediately peered inside, his eyes lit up, and he loudly said:

"Luo An! Found those mobile phones you mentioned!"

"I know—"

Luo An's voice sounded a bit muffled. Lead was slightly startled, walked out of the storeroom following the sound to find Luo An; he was in the kitchen, and almost his entire upper body was inside the washing machine.

Lifestyles in the Federation differ from the East; many people in this country install their laundry rooms in the kitchen.

"What are you doing..."

Seeing only the lower half of Luo An's body, Lead twitched his mouth and asked:

"Performance art? Need any help?"

"Stay away from me, I'm not stuck, and I can get out without your help."

He grumble back a response, and moments later, Luo An gradually backed out of the washing machine, and Lead then noticed he was holding a small flashlight.

Luo An turned off the flashlight and said:

"Call the forensic agents over, we need to dismantle this washing machine and take it with us."

"What?"

Lead looked puzzled, then immediately realized, and asked:

"Are there bloodstains inside the washing machine?"

Luo An shook his head and smiled:

"No bloodstains, just hair."

Lead looked baffled. Just as Luo An was about to explain, his phone suddenly rang, showing it was Mona.

"Luo An, someone is looking for you."

"Who?"

"A very beautiful journalist with a great figure."
