CHAPTER 771: CHAPTER 773: THE PURSUIT INSIDE THE PRIVATE AIRPORT

8:30 PM, Southern Watertown, a private airport.

A small plane is parked at the end of the runway. The pilot, having received a text message, has already started the aircraft and is ready for departure as soon as Matthew and the others board.

On the other side of the runway, a Chevrolet sedan is speeding towards the small plane, trailed by smoke and dust from a grenade explosion.

A black SUV, with its body covered in scrapes, bursts through the smoke before the astonished eyes of Matthew and Earl, its three passengers largely unharmed.

"Fu-k! How did he manage that?"

Matthew’s face is pale with rage; he reaches under the seat for more grenades, but grasps air, realizing he has already thrown them all.

Matthew reaches for Earl, not taking his eyes off the SUV in the rearview mirror, and demands:

"Give me your grenades!"

"Forget the grenades now!"

Earl slaps away Matthew’s hand, shouting gravely:

"More people are storming the airport; we’re surrounded!"

"What?"

Matthew quickly turns his head following Earl’s indication, and sees several black SUVs suddenly appearing behind the small plane.

They are rapidly approaching the small aircraft. If these SUVs surround the plane, they will completely lose their chance to leave today.

"Damn bastards!"

Matthew’s expression drastically changes. As he swears, a plan quickly forms in his mind. He picks up his phone and calls the pilot, commanding loudly:

"Start the plane! Begin taxiing!"

"What?"

The pilot on the other end is very surprised:

"But you aren’t on the plane yet..."

"Fu-k! Just do as I say!"

Matthew’s face contorts in fury, veins on his forehead bulging as he yells:

"Don’t close the cabin door; I’ll figure out a way to jump in!"

"OK, OK!"

The pilot quickly agrees. After hanging up the phone, he mutters "Crazy, fool," but still starts taxiing the small plane.

Observing the small plane slowly moving forward in the distance, a hint of madness flashes in Matthew’s eyes as he pats Earl’s thigh and says in a concentrated voice:

"When we brake and drift, keep the Chevrolet parallel to the plane so we can jump aboard and escape!"

"Understood."

Earl says little, takes a deep breath to steady himself, and firmly grasps the steering wheel.

Meanwhile, in the SUV behind, Chenier and Winslow notice the small plane starting its taxi and are a bit surprised:

"What is Matthew trying to do?"

"He plans to jump onto the plane from the car, like in the movies."

Luo An, eyes slightly squinted, switches perspectives, and immediately guesses the opponent’s plan. He instructs:

"Winslow, you drive. Chenier, hand me the AR-15."

"Understood."

The two immediately understand Luo An’s intent, swiftly change positions, and look for the rifle.

Luo An moves to the passenger seat; Chenier hands him the found AR-15. Luo An quickly mounts the scope, braces the rifle against his shoulder, aims forward, and speaks softly:

"Winslow, keep it steady."

"Understood."

Winslow nods firmly, takes a deep breath, and begins controlling the SUV to steadily advance in a straight line.

Squeak—

Boom!

The small plane was moving directly towards the Chevrolet sedan and the SUV. Just as it was about to reach the side of the taxing small plane, the Chevrolet sedan beautifully drifted on the runway.

It changed direction and started moving in the same direction as the taxing small plane, advancing head-on towards the SUV, the distance between the two cars rapidly closing.

Matthew, who was already prepared, patted Earl on the shoulder, opened the window, ready to climb onto the roof and then jump into the small plane.

Bang!

The next second, just as Matthew popped his head out, a bullet flew from afar, directly shattering the rearview mirror of the Chevrolet; mechanical shards instantaneously hit Matthew’s face.

"F**k!"

The stinging pain on his face caused Matthew to quickly retract his head, cursing profusely while his face turned pale, his heart filled with trepidation.

Human heads are much larger than car mirrors. The fact that the enemy shot the mirror instead of killing him was a blatant display of show-off and intimidation!

However, as the speed of the taxing plane got faster and faster, and the distance between the Chevrolet and SUV rapidly closed, Matthew had no time left to change plans.

So, he took a deep breath, crawled out of the window again towards the roof, betting that the person in the SUV didn’t want to shoot him dead!

Bang!

Just as Matthew flipped over to the top of the Chevrolet, another bullet came flying, hitting his arm accurately, causing intense pain that made Matthew grimace, yet his eyes blazed with resolve.

He guessed right; the enemy wanted to capture him alive, not kill him outright!

Thus, Matthew slowly arched his body, crouching on the roof like a cheetah, aiming for the plane’s cabin door to jump into!

Inside the SUV, Winslow frowned at this scene, and Chenier, seeing Luo An miss two shots, felt anxious but did not speak to Luo An, just firmly patted Winslow’s arm, whispering:

"Drive steady!"

Winslow looked exasperated, just about to speak, when gunfire erupted again from the passenger side!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Just as Matthew slightly stood up, ready to leap, Luo An fired three shots, all three bullets hitting his thigh accurately!

The severe pain caused Matthew to suddenly fall to his knees, forehead sweating cold, and while panting heavily, he forcefully hit the roof of the Chevrolet, ready to shout at Earl to drive steadier.

Before Matthew could make a sound, Earl suddenly slammed on the brakes and twisted the steering wheel, and under the huge momentum, the already injured Matthew had no time to react, and was thrown out directly!

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Matthew heavily fell to the ground, rolling several times under the momentum, leaving a long blood trail from his gunshot wounds on the ground.

The intense pain from various parts of his body made Matthew’s forehead sweat profusely, but now he didn’t care about these, staring fiercely at the quickly fleeing Chevrolet, his expression out of control, angrily shouting:

"Earl!!!"

Inside the Chevrolet, Earl, who was driving, glanced at the rearview mirror and sneered disdainfully.

He knew Matthew too well. The other party had no intention of letting him board the plane; even if they boarded, Matthew wouldn’t leave him alive.

Besides, the FBI wanted Matthew, not him, Earl.

Acting on the principle of every man for himself in times of crisis, Earl simply took the opportunity to throw Matthew out to attract the FBI’s attention, while he himself took the plane and left.

The small plane’s taxing speed was getting faster and faster, Earl didn’t have much time left, he pulled out a gun to jam the accelerator, opened the door preparing to jump out and catch the plane.

Just as Earl opened the door, he suddenly saw two figures decisively jumping out of the nearby SUV, hitting the ground and rolling several times.

And that SUV, with no intention of changing its course, was heading straight towards the Chevrolet!

"Is this f**king madman?!"

Seeing Luo An driving the SUV and preparing for a head-on collision, Earl’s face changed dramatically, very shocked, he hurriedly stood up ready to jump out.

But the SUV’s advancing speed far exceeded Earl’s expectation, just as he turned his body, the two cars violently collided!

Boom—

Boom!

The deafening sound of the cars colliding rang out, the high-speed Chevrolet and the SUV, their rear ends lifting up in the air at that moment, with the front of the cars caving in completely, debris scattering everywhere!
