Legendary FBI Detective
Chapter 781 783: Reesi Selling Her Beauty
As a world-renowned capitalist country, places like Yellowstone Park that never lack tourists naturally wouldn't miss out on commercial development.
Yellowstone Park has a total of 12 large camping sites, with information such as the opening times, nightly rates, site capacity, altitude, and size restrictions for RVs all available on the official website.
Even these camping sites have stores, restrooms, bathhouses, and laundromats for visitors' use, albeit at not-so-low prices.
On Saturday, in the southeastern part of Yellowstone Park by a lake, Luo An and his group were leisurely setting up tents in a less crowded spot.
Not far away, under the sunlight, the sparkling lake surface was quite blue, and birds occasionally flew over it. After setting up the tent, Luo An took a sip of beer and said helplessly:
"I didn't expect that in the end, we ended up with a lakeside cabin... no, a lakeside tent instead."
Mona spread out the sleeping bags and other items, crawled out of the tent, and asked in confusion:
"Why do you care so much about the phrase 'lakeside cabin'?"
"Maybe because the 'O' key could summon my late wife in the first generation."
Luo An laughed and casually opened a bottle of beer to pass to Mona:
"Right, what food did you bring?"
After agreeing that all members of the special investigation team would camp together today, the women in the team took charge of the food preparations, while Luo An and Winslow, the two guys, were responsible for the hardware equipment, such as tents, sleeping bags, power sources, vehicles, etc.
Originally, the two had planned to bring a few fishing rods as well, but fishing was recently banned by the Wyoming ecological protection department, much to the regret of Luo An and Winslow, who were unable to determine who truly was an air force captain.
Although still unclear about Luo An's attachment to the lakeside cabin, at the mention of "late wife," Mona rolled her eyes, smacked Luo An's arm hard, then took a sip of beer and said:
"As for food, it's all in the SUV's trunk – beef, lamb, vegetables, fruit, all there.
Plus plenty of snacks, once everyone has set up their tents, we can start barbecuing."
"OK, I'll go get the grill ready."
Luo An smiled and glanced at Winslow and Little Jimmy struggling with their tent, then turned to walk to the nearby car to get charcoal.
This area wasn't small; aside from Luo An and his group, a couple of camping parties were a few meters away.
One was a young couple who set up their tent deep in the woods and dove inside right after they finished, with the tent occasionally quivering.
The other party looked like a family, parents with a pair of young children.
It wasn't until later when greetings were exchanged and food was exchanged that it was learned the older man and woman were indeed parents, but the young kids were not their biological children. They were adopted from a welfare home due to the couple's health reasons.
Since Luo An and the others arrived early, they chose a great spot, setting up the tent in an open area surrounded by trees, where opening the tent flaps offered a view of the distant lake, delivering an excellent vista.
Winslow, his wife Lanita, and Little Jimmy, the family of three, shared a tent; Chenier and Michelle set up another tent together; Luo An and Mona shared one, as for Reesi...
Looking at the beautiful woman not far away setting up a tent with Reesi, Luo An, dealing with the charcoal, twitched his mouth:
"Who is that woman?"
"Her name is Evelyn, she's one of the managers of this camping site, and Reesi just met her today."
Mona was also somewhat speechless, she took out a bag of chips, tore open the packaging, and began to eat while speaking:
"I asked earlier, Reesi said that Evelyn is going to sleep in the same tent with her tonight."
Winslow, who had finished with his tent by this time, came over to help Luo An with the barbecue setup, and while doing so, rolled his eyes and said:
"No wonder Reesi specifically emphasized earlier that I should buy her a double tent.
It's clear she had it all planned out."
Reesi's tent was quickly set up, and Evelyn was seen whispering and laughing together with Reesi for a while before she waved at Luo An and the others with a smile, kissed Reesi on the face, and then turned to leave the camping area.
Luo An and the others also smiled and nodded to Evelyn, and once her figure had completely vanished, he immediately pulled Reesi over and asked:
"What's going on with you?"
"What do you mean, 'what's going on'?"
Reesi casually snatched the chips, grabbing a handful and stuffing them into her mouth.
Seeing Luo An, Winslow, Mona, as well as Chenier and Michelle, who had also set up their tents, looking at her silently, Reesi wiped her hands, put her fists on her hips, and proudly said:
"If it weren't for me using my charms to persuade Evelyn, how could we possibly have gotten such a great camping site?
I really took one for the team. You guys should thank me, OK? Later at the barbecue, I want the best piece!"
"..."
The crowd all rolled their eyes in unison, too lazy to bother with Reesi, and started helping out with the barbecue preparations.
Luo An set up the bbq grill and conveniently snatched the chips from Reesi's hand, laughing:
"I've checked the weather forecast. There's no rain tonight, but it will be windy.
Keep it down tonight, don't collapse the tent, or you'll end up being blown into the lake with your tent."
"You better remember that for yourself."
Reesi chuckled and whispered:
"You and Mona..."
Snap—
Before Reesi could finish speaking, Mona came from behind and gently slapped her arm, humming:
"Stop rambling, come help with the beef!"
"OK, no problem."
Reesi wasn't offended, embraced Mona's arm, made a face at Luo An, and then reached out to snatch back the chips.
But then she found out that Luo An had already eaten all the chips, leaving only the empty bag.
Luo An wiped his hands, smiling:
"Remember to throw it in the trash bag, don't pollute the environment."
Reesi: "..."
The members of the special investigation team all had varying degrees of cooking experience, and they had barbecued many times before, so they quickly managed to create several delicious dishes together.
Winslow took out chilled beers and handed them out to everyone, Luo An casually handed Little Jimmy a bottle of milk, and everyone was chatting and drinking while eating barbecue and vegetables, watching the slow descent of the sunset over the lake, in a very lively and happy mood.
Midway through the meal, Evelyn finished her shift, Reesi picked her up and brought her to the campsite, and everyone greeted her. With beer and barbecue, Evelyn quickly became familiar with everyone.
"To be honest, it's my first time having barbecue this way while camping, and it's really delicious."
Evelyn, with a skewer in hand, bit off a piece of beef, her eyes sparkling with approval:
"Who's the chef who barbecued this? Can you teach me?"
The others also looked at Luo An with gleaming eyes, but their hands never stopped skewering.
Luo An popped a strawberry into his mouth and shook his hands with a smile:
"No chef here, just practice makes perfect."
Luo An wasn't very familiar with American barbecue. Initially, Winslow led the way and he helped out as a sous-chef.
Later, seeing that there were many bamboo skewers left in the car, given as a freebie when Mona bought seasonings, Luo An decided not to waste them. He used his dagger to cut the beef into small pieces, thread them onto the skewers, and grilled them using Eastern techniques.
In the West, there are also meats skewered and grilled together, but the method is rather untamed, usually involving larger cuts of meat seasoned and grilled directly without being cut as small as in the East.
After tasting a few bites of the beef skewers grilled with the mysterious Eastern techniques, Evelyn, Winslow, Reesi and others exclaimed "Amazing," swiftly polishing off the skewers.
