Legendary Librarian System
Chapter 30: Liu Wei’s Gifts
CHAPTER 30: LIU WEI’S GIFTS
After Liu Wei finished eating with Duan Li, the latter bade farewell but Liu Wei made her stop at the exit and proceeded to the Agricultural Domain.
As expected, Duan Li would narrow her eyelids to see through on the other side of the room.
She was in awe when she discovered it really was a farm.
A magical farm that seemed to be inside the room.
She was amazed when she saw it, even rubbing her eyes and pinching her cheeks once the door was closed to determine if she was dreaming or not.
After all, it was too otherworldly.
As though the library itself was another realm.
In fact, she was not far off.
Nevertheless, she kept her thoughts to herself and promised she would never ever talk about it with the others.
Truth to be told, she already decided to keep her Little Liu Wei to herself.
It only took a minute before Liu Wei left the farm, carrying a leather sack with one hand.
Duan Li’s heart skipped a beat.
After all, she ate the vegetables and rice, coming from the farm, and realized they were otherworldly, too.
It simply was due to their effects.
She was rejuvenated and felt stronger than before.
Even her Qi improved rapidly just by the rice called Verdant Rice according to Liu Wei.
Now, Liu Wei was carrying a sack...
Even though she was not sure what was inside, if it was Verdant Rice or the vegetables, she was certain what was inside would certainly provide an otherworldly benefit.
She waited for Liu Wei to arrive before her with a racing heart.
Once Liu Wei stopped in front of her, he smiled.
In Duan Li’s eyes, it was as bright as the rising sun, cleansing the darkness in her heart and mind.
Liu Wei said, "I just remembered I still have the Thousand-Day Peach and Moon Pear with me. You can have it. It’s not that heavy. You can carry it by one hand for quite a distance."
He pushed the leather sack towards Duan Li, who quickly received it with care.
However, when her hand was in contact with the leather sack, her heart skipped a beat.
She stared at the fabric of the leather sack in a daze.
She mumbled, "T-This..."
Liu Wei was surprised.
He gazed at where she was staring and realized her leather sack was a bit dirty from the soil.
He said, "I apologize for the grime."
Duan Li realized Liu Wei might have misunderstood her reaction as she hastily said, "N-No. It’s not about that. It’s about the quality of this fabric. I’m a noble, so I was trained to distinguish the quality of clothes. This fabric alone might fetch a Low-Grade Spirit Stone."
Liu Wei was stunned.
However, instead of being elated, he sighed helplessly.
First, it was the rice and vegetables, possibly the fruits, too, but now a fucking sack is this valuable?
He asked the System in his mind.
’Just what is the Agricultural Domain made of? I thought it’s only on the Basic Level. Why are the objects being treated highly?’
The System replied.
[I don’t know. Perhaps, this realm might be trashier than I believe.]
Liu Wei was taken aback.
He inwardly shook his head and sighed.
He smiled at Duan Li and said, "I see. It’s that valuable. Either way, you can have it, too. I don’t mind."
Duan Li was taken aback.
Her eyes widened.
"Really? I won’t be polite, then. Thank you, Little Liu Wei. I’ll remember the favor."
Liu Wei waved his hand—the one he used to carry the sack as Duan Li indeed was not being polite, grabbing it without hesitation...
Afraid he might change his mind.
He said, "It’s fine. It’s my reciprocation after giving this little guy to me."
He patted the Inferno Dragon Fang Sword and it hummed in delight.
Supposedly, only he, who was recognized by the sword, should be able to recognize the sword spirit’s communication, but as the creator, Duan Li smiled when she heard it.
She said, "Even so, I must bring gifts with me next time. I’m sure you will love it."
Liu Wei’s eyes widened.
Of course, he would love the gifts coming from this world.
He still had not forgotten about the foods Elder Mo Fu gave to him.
Although it was not as tasty and beneficial as his vegetables and rice, they were cooked really well, so it was tastier than his soup.
If Duan Li visited next time with gifts—foods or whatever it would be—Liu Wei was already looking forward to it.
He beamed a smile and said, "If that is the case, I won’t be polite, too. I am looking forward to it."
Duan Li’s eyes widened.
She nodded vigorously and said with excitement, "Then, I will bring a lot next time. See you in a month!"
Liu Wei nodded with a smile.
"See you in a month."
Duan Li smiled happily as she turned around, walking away from Liu Wei.
For some reason, Liu Wei could see a tail behind her butt, wagging enthusiastically, making him smile.
He shook his head and turned around, walking towards the seat to ponder.
As soon as he sat, he reflected on what happened.
Duan Li said that he must be careful when it came to cultivating during their meal.
Duan Li seemed to be giving advice out of concern for him, not for those people who might be affected during his cultivation.
After all, he almost killed someone.
And that someone was not a stranger, it was Duan Li.
Hence, Liu Wei was more careful than before.
Duan Li suggested closing the door of the library if he preferred to cultivate in the living room of the library.
Or inside his personal room.
Nevertheless, Duan Li highly suggested that his environment must not be accessible if he did not want to fall into Qi Deviation while cultivating just because he was disturbed.
Liu Wei planned to follow her suggestion.
However, for now, he was not planning on opening the Demon Gate.
Although he only needed a single Demon Gate to open his meridian, he could wait.
After all, it would still take some time before his physique consumed him.
At the moment, he was planning to learn peak Mystic Rank Sword Arts...
