Chapter 92: Fighter Alchemist?
CHAPTER 92: FIGHTER ALCHEMIST?
Liu Wei asked, "Then, are you a genius, too?"
Cai Hui was taken aback. Her face flushed.
She lowered her head and replied, "I achieved Pill Resonance once. And that was the reason why I became the latest disciple of Master Yan."
"Master Yan?" Liu Wei tilted his head.
Cai Hui nodded and replied, "He is the Master Alchemist and the President of the Alchemy Association of the Kingdom of Jinwu."
Liu Wei’s eyes lit up. He said, "A Master? On a level of Master Wen Ruo?"
Cai Hui was taken aback and shook her head vigorously.
She replied, "When I said that I learned the cultivation technique of Master Wen Ruo, Master Yan firmly refused to believe it. He said that Master Wen Ruo was an ancient leading figure of the alchemy profession. Master Wen Ruo was the only mortal who ascended into the realm higher than the Spirit Ascension Domain."
Liu Wei’s eyes lit up.
He was shaken.
Cai Hui noticed his reaction and was befuddled.
She asked, "I thought you know him, Big Brother Liu Wei, since you have access to even the original of his book, which I acquired from you."
Liu Wei shook his head and replied, "I actually don’t. I want to meet him, too. Perhaps, it will be long and might be impossible."
Yet, deep inside, Liu Wei felt he could still meet him in the future.
Cai Hui lowered her head and replied, "I see. That’s unfortunate. I really want to meet him, Big Brother. Master Yan said that once I’ll cultivate in the Qi Condensation Stage, my cultivation technique should be the spirit rank cultivation technique of Master Wenruo."
Liu Wei smiled and chuckled.
"Verdant Cauldron Sutra? I’m cultivating it too, to be honest. You don’t have to worry about needing spirit stones. You can have access to it in the library for free. But, you must only read it here."
Cai Hui was taken aback.
She nodded in excitement, yet tears welled up in her eyes.
She stuttered. "T-Thank you, Big Brother!"
Liu Wei smiled.
He said, "There’s a reason why you must read it here... it must be because you are still fated. Once you can’t enter here next time in the future, it means that’s the limit of how much the library can provide you with knowledge. The rest... it will be yours.
You can’t just follow Master Wen Ruo’s path, you have to find yours, too.
I just want you to build your own identity."
Cai Hui was taken aback.
She was anxious at first, but then finally understood what Liu Wei meant.
She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, grasped her heart, and nodded.
She composed herself and replied, "I understand, Big Brother Liu Wei. I won’t disappoint you."
Liu Wei smiled and nodded. "Mhm."
...
Liu Wei and Cai Hui then decided to stand up and hurried to the Radiant Cauldron Assembly.
When they stood in front of the portal, Liu Wei stopped and turned around.
The library attendants appeared in front of him as he said, "I will be leaving the library indefinitely. If there are customers, please entertain them. If they are looking for me, just tell them that they can rest here in the library for sometime and wait for me... only, if they want to."
The humanoid scroll bowed deeply, accompanied by the ink-robed woman, and said with extreme polite tone, "We understand your instructions, librarians. Please be rest assured."
Liu Wei nodded and replied, "I will trust you, too."
He then turned around and disappeared...
...
When Liu Wei and Cai Hui appeared, Liu Wei curiously turned around and was stunned that the previous place of his library had indeed disappeared.
It was now empty.
He suddenly glanced forward and swept his gaze.
He was standing above the stairs, with people walking on the streets below.
He wanted to know if there were people who caught their sudden appearance.
After some time, he heaved a sigh of relief.
He mumbled, "I’m afraid that this strange portal tech might be discovered."
"What are you saying, Big Brother Liu Wei?"
Liu Wei glanced at Cai Hui and shook his head.
He smiled. "Nothing. Lead the way, I’ll follow you."
Cai Hui nodded.
Before she turned her head around, her gaze briefly landed on Liu Wei’s sword.
She then descended the stairs as Liu Wei walked beside her.
Cai Hui said, "Big Brother Liu Wei sure is strange. Why do you have a sword when you are an alchemist? Are you sure that your cultivation technique is purely for alchemy?"
Liu Wei was surprised and replied, "Are there no alchemists who can fight?"
Cai Hui paused as they were now walking on the streets and gave Liu Wei a strange stare.
She said, "How can an alchemist fight with a sword? I doubt they can even swing it ten times!"
Liu Wei chuckled and replied, "That’s an exaggeration."
Cai Hui shook her head vigorously and continued walking, "You really are strange, Big Brother Liu Wei. Although the rules did not state prohibiting bringing weapons during the competition, you might still be forbidden from carrying it."
Liu Wei was silent.
He communicated with Rhayven through their minds.
He said, ’Rhayven, I can’t carry you with me to where we will be going. Is it safe to place you in a hidden place?’
Rhayven immediately replied, ’No! You can’t do that, Big Brother Liu Wei!’
Liu Wei was concerned.
’But, you still have to hide.’
Rhayven replied, ’Hide? I can hide!’
Suddenly, Rhayven and the scabbard itself jumped out of Liu Wei’s waist and astonishingly shaped himself into a ring.
The ring has a demonic eye on it, pushing itself on Liu Wei’s index finger.
Liu Wei sighed.
’You’re even more suspicious, acting like a demonic object.’
Rhayven appeared to panic and hastily widen the narrow iris, now appearing more less demonic.
’Still demonic.’
Rhayven tried various ways to shape himself until he decided with a simple ordinary black ring.
Liu Wei was satisfied and nodded.
