Lethal Stunner: Kicking Off with Five Beast Husbands
Chapter 459: I Just Love Eating Little Desserts
CHAPTER 459: CHAPTER 459: I JUST LOVE EATING LITTLE DESSERTS
"Of course, I’ll try it," Jinsheng smiled softly, "I just love little snacks."
It was rare to see Li being so obedient. Jinsheng hadn’t had enough of pinching his cheeks before Li counterattacked.
His palm rested on the back of her head, planting kisses one after another.
The kiss on her red lips was even more passionate.
Jinsheng raised her hands to wrap around Li’s neck, responding with equal passion.
She could feel the burning palm pressed against her back, separated only by a thin veil.
Noticing the palm moving, the clasp on the back of her neck popped open, and Jinsheng hurriedly opened her eyes from the pleasure.
Pulling on Li’s collar with one hand, she leaned against his chest, panting slightly, and hummed a reminder, "We agreed not to tear the clothes."
Wasn’t her nice dress supposed to be spared?
"I didn’t..." Li replied with grievance.
He merely touched the clasp.
Who would have thought it would open so easily?
However, Jinsheng’s words reminded him that there were still more surprises he hadn’t shown her.
Now was the perfect time for some small snacks.
He would serve the main course to Jinsheng later.
Li lowered his head, lifting Jinsheng’s long hair, checked the clasp on her dress, and smiled, "It’s not broken."
He skillfully re-fastened the gemstone clasp for Jinsheng, picked her up, and straightened the hem of her dress, which had been ruffled during their kisses.
Embracing Jinsheng’s waist, he pulled her into his arms, "I hope you’ll like the next gift as well."
"Can you give me a hint?" Jinsheng asked eagerly.
Li smiled mysteriously, keeping his lips sealed for the moment.
Too lazy to walk, he directly teleported her within his Domain.
They reappeared in the center of the palace.
Jinsheng looked around and noticed that the usually dark and opulent castle was adorned with many flowers and dazzling gemstones today.
Noticing the arrival of Jinsheng and Li.
The little demons hidden in the shadows quickly alerted each other.
As the light guided Jinsheng along the red carpet, heading toward a carefully arranged candlelight dinner at the center, the music began to play at the perfect moment.
Jinsheng followed the sound and discovered little demons hidden below the stage, secretly playing instruments.
This time, flower petals rained down again.
Learning from previous unsuccessful attempts, this time, the little demons replaced the flower-scattering demons with those that had wings.
Accompanied by the graceful entrance music, Jinsheng smiled and looked up at the person beside her, teasing, "You’ve enslaved these little centenarian creatures again."
"It’s a celebration, they volunteered to help," Li replied confidently.
Jinsheng merely smiled and looked at him, not arguing.
She wanted to hear what other excuses Li could come up with.
"Every day with you fills my heart with joy," Li grasped Jinsheng’s wrist, pressing her palm against his chest.
His red eyes lowered, "Do you remember our wedding in the Demon Territory?"
Jinsheng nodded at this.
But remembering how she had just had the wedding and then left Li with another beast husband, she guiltily lowered her head, only to have her face cupped by Li again, "I know what you’re thinking, don’t dwell on it."
"I was too forceful, and you didn’t have memories of me back then; that’s why I scared you and why you didn’t choose me."
"But all that doesn’t matter anymore."
"What’s done is done; at least now you’re with me every single day."
"As long as we’re doing well, every moment that passes is a new beginning towards our happiness."
"So is tonight, so, my Lord, would you do me the honor of dining with me by candlelight?"
Laughing at Li’s outstretched invitation, Jinsheng was not at all reserved, placing both hands into his palms, "I’d be delighted."
The little demons, who had been observing Jinsheng and Li,
Quickly sprang into action when they saw the two of them take their seats.
Amid the beautiful melody of the music, Jinsheng listened quietly, being drawn into Li’s lap as he wrapped an arm around her waist.
Meeting her gaze as she looked up, Li smiled, "My Lord, I serve you."
"Who eats like this?" Jinsheng laughed and asked.
Yet she made no move to leave, instead, she leaned into Li’s embrace.
Wrapped in a warm and fragrant embrace, she was thoroughly enjoying it.
Looking at the table set with candles but no dinner, Jinsheng traced circles on Li’s chest, teasingly asking, "Where’s the dinner you promised with the candlelight dinner?"
She slightly raised herself, looked back at Li, and even tapped that smooth, clean chin with her finger, "Is the dinner you mentioned also you, a little snack?"
"This time, it’s proper food," Li replied, his ears turning red.
His anxious gaze turned to the shadows.
What was up with these little demons?
They were so slow in serving the dishes.
The candles had already burned a third of the way down.
"Coming, coming!" the little demons’ voices rang out from the shadows.
Jinsheng watched as the little demons lined up, each carrying a covered dish, and rushed onto the stage with great enthusiasm.
With dinner finally served, Li also reached for a red bottle.
Pouring out the clear red liquid, the familiar scent of pomegranate juice wafted up to Jinsheng’s nose.
"This is tasty, give it a try," Li offered the glass near her, and just as Jinsheng was about to take it, Li playfully pulled it away, laughing, "I’ll feed you."
"All right," Jinsheng nodded with a smile, and after tasting the sweet juice, her eyes sparkled.
She took a mouthful of the juice and beckoned to Li with her finger.
"Is it good? I squeezed it fresh, timing it just right," Li said as he leaned closer.
"Can’t you taste all the love I have for you... hmph!"
Before he could finish his sentence, Jinsheng tugged his neck down, sealing his lips with hers.
In that gentle kiss, her tongue shared the sweetness of the fruit.
Li’s throat bobbed, swallowing the sweet essence, and his red eyes gazed into Jinsheng’s with even greater intensity.
"Sweet or not, you have to taste it yourself to know," Jinsheng laughed, reaching out to wipe away the red left on Li’s lip corner.
Not sure if it was her lipstick or the red pomegranate juice.
Or perhaps a bit of both.
"I can’t tell," he said, pulling her closer by the back of her waist, "Can you feed me a little more so I can taste properly?"
"But I’m too lazy to move," Jinsheng nestled into Li’s embrace, making no move to grab the juice-filled wine glass.
"I’ll feed you first," Li eagerly lifted the glass again to serve her.
As Jinsheng sipped the juice and leaned in, sealing it with a kiss as she swallowed,
The little demons had already scampered away after serving the meal.
Even those originally hiding in the shadows had quietly disappeared.
The music had also ceased at an unknown time.
The only sound remaining was the quiet stirring of the pomegranate juice in the wine glasses.
The two figures illuminated by candlelight sat closely together.
The shadows cast by the candle flames intertwined indistinguishably.
The next day, when Jinsheng awoke in the soft, plush bed, she felt a strong arm still wrapped around her waist.
She shifted slightly, and the arm pulled tighter, drawing her even closer into the embrace.
Despite having two pillows, Jinsheng found that Li wasn’t using his own pillow properly, nor was he lying on his own side of the bed.
He squeezed right next to her.
His head shared the same pillow with hers.
Clinging to her, he had dozed off on her side of the bed, holding her tightly in his embrace.
