The taxi dropped Alex off in front of his house. Today was intense. He acquired a unique class, saw Tiffany and her sister, registered as a hunter with the hunters’ association, and witnessed a dungeon break artificially.

Today was very productive. It was strange that he didn’t have any money. Well, what could you say? When you work for the government, your paycheck only comes at the end of the month, meaning you have one day to receive your money and 29 days to make ends meet.

He entered his house and his sister’s friend welcomed him.

"Ho! Sir, you came, a little early I think, anyway, welcome."

Alex looked at the girl who was stumbling over her words

"Sir , are you serious?" The question came with a frown. Alex wondered if the association’s combat suit made him look that much older? From what he remembered, even in this reality, he hadn’t yet turned 20.

" Sorry"

"Why are you apologizing out of nowhere? Are you okay?" Looking at the girl, it seemed like something was strange. He walked over and took a closer look. The girl almost tripped, backing away hurriedly.

"Sir, please don’t come any closer, your aura is too heavy." She struggled to stammer out these words. It was then that Alex realized, if anything, the taxi driver was also exhibiting the same type of behavior.

"Sorry, I forgot to retract it."

Alex looked embarrassed, Joana had already informed him about this, the hunters’ abilities were divided into two groups and their auras too, they were active and passive.

As a rule, passive skills and passive auras were always active and they could affect people around them, for example, Commander had a passive charm skill, Alex was caught by his charm and only freed himself because he had a skill to counterbalance it.

To avoid such embarrassment, hunters would often retract their auras to appear as primal beings, again, this term was used to refer to unawakened people.

"Thank you." When Alex’s aura was retracted, her passive abilities stopped affecting the people around her, and the girl could act normally.

Alex looked through a system window where his passive skills were listed, they now appeared gray

It was no wonder that normal people treated him with more respect than necessary, one of his passive abilities was the aura of royalty, Alex wondered how people would see him when this passive was active.

"Lucia had commented on her memories, but even before that you didn’t know my name, I’m Mónica de Oliveira."

Alex took a second look at the girl, another Monica? He remembered a tanned, red-haired girl doing things with her companion named Mimi. He had to shake off the privileged view he’d had that day.

"Ho! You’re new around here then?"

"Not so young sir, I grew up here, but I had to go to high school in another province and now I’m back."

"You can not call me sir, it is a bit uncomfortable, just Alex is good enough, sir is my father"

Monica was silent for a moment before speaking again.

"Sir, I mean, Alex, can you tell me a little bit about what it’s like to be a hunter? If that’s okay, of course."

"Ho! Are you interested in hunter?"

The girl nodded shyly, "Yes, it’s just that, well, I’m writing about hunters?"

Alex put his hands to his chin and said promptly.

"I would like to help, but I don’t have much to share. I just woke up a week or two ago, and I’ve explored two dungeons in total, and today was my first day at the hunters’ association."

Alex saw the girl’s eyes widen as if she had discovered something incredible.

"That’s exactly what I need, a newbie hunter, could you tell me how your experience is going step by step?"

With that said, she took her computer and opened a blank page to start writing down everything Alex would say.

"What are you writing about? Is this a college assignment?"

The girl blushed slightly as she said in a mosquito-like voice

"I write web romance"

The alarm clock rang when it was only 5 o’clock in the morning, unlike the previous day, today she woke up in a good mood, her brother was back and that made her happy.

The first thing he did was check on his mother, and seeing her like that always made his heart ache. It had been 5 years, but she was still sleeping, and his father was still missing.

Lucia knelt down and began to pray for her mother to wake up and her father to return as soon as possible and she also prayed for her brother.

Then she changed her mother’s clothes, combed her hair and made her look tidy, took a liquid compound and channeled it intravenously, this way the body would receive enough nourishment to stay alive.

Lucia walked to her brother’s room and saw him sleeping peacefully. She went back to her own room and got ready for work, but before that, she went to the kitchen and prepared breakfast so that her brother would have something to eat as soon as he woke up.

Looking at the clock that showed 6 am, she hurried, there was no more time for her to have breakfast, she took the sandy that she had prepared and put it somewhere in her bag.

Closing the door, she placed the spare key somewhere on the step. Her brother slept late and most likely her friend who took care of her mother while she went to work would be waiting for a long time.

So she always left the key in the same place to prevent her friend from getting angry with her brother.

Lucia was at the public transport stop which was about 10 minutes away from her house and as always the transport arrived on time and so she went to work.

In just 30 minutes she had arrived at the hospital where she worked, but before she could enter, a car stopped right in front of her and a bald man with a robust build got out.

Upon seeing the man covered in tattoos, Lucia turned pale and fear took over. She tried to retreat to ask for help, but another man grabbed her from behind and put a handkerchief over her mouth.

Lucia struggled a little before falling unconscious in the arms of the man who had a strange smile, the robust man helped the other to put the girl inside the car.

Everything happened so fast that the people around didn’t notice what had actually happened.
