CHAPTER 33: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS PART 1

Questions and Answers Part 1

The look Alex received from Tiffany hurt him deeply, but now was not the time to deal with personal matters. He really wanted to resolve the misunderstanding between them, but now was not the time.

The first problem to reach was the cleaning of the dungeon which was much more dangerous than expected, secondly, her sister, there was no one else in her family who could take care of her or rescue her.

Tiffany was in a defensive position ready to attack at any moment, most likely, she found a method to suppress her fear and demonstrate this fierce look, but Alex had known him for 5 years and dated him for two years.

Alex knew her well, or so he thought, anyway better try to relax a little and take care of the situation.

"Let’s calm down a bit, I don’t mean any harm, I’m from the hunters’ association"

Alex said raising his hands in a gesture of peace, upon seeing the association’s identity card, two of them relaxed a little, but Tiffany remained alert.

The sleeve of the right suit slowly came down to reveal a tracking device that prisoners under the association’s protection used to wear, thus, the two’s guards were raised again.

Following everyone’s gazes on his right wrist, Alex gave a self-deprecating, wry smile, and then, they looked at the card again where there was only one star and their gazes revealed disbelief.

"Well, I can explain, as I said before, I don’t intend to do you any harm, quite the opposite, I would like to cooperate with you, the Blue Spirit Guild, in cleaning this dungeon."

Alex said covering the device in his sleeve and putting his ID card in his pocket.

"Association Hunter, give us a second"

The burly man said before dragging his companions to a corner of the cave, most likely they would discuss whether or not to listen to the mysterious man Tiffany was afraid of.

"Sure, feel free," Alex said with a friendly smile.

While the blue spirit guild talked amongst themselves, Alex decided to navigate through his attribute window and assign his two free points.

Alex was happy to level up, his attributes increased a little, now he had 33 more points in his MP, compared to before, it wasn’t much more help, and more importantly, he only had 3 levels left, for him to use the reward he got when he obtained his class.

Looking at the blue spirit guild coming towards him, he assumed they had already decided whether to listen to him or not, Alex closed his system and saved his thoughts for later.

"Before anything, let me introduce myself. I am Rouke, the leader for this expedition. I am a two-star hunter. Next to me is Sarah, she is the group’s healer, a two-star hunter. And lastly, Miss Tiffany, also a two-star hunter."

Alex was next to follow with the introductions.

"My name is Alex, an association hunter as I have already mentioned internally, and as you can see, I am a star."

With that said, Alex shook hands with the Leader, Rouke, and the healer Miss Sarah, but when it came to Tiffany’s turn, she refused to shake Alex’s hands, she showed a disgusted look at Alex’s palm.

Seeing that Alex was someone inferior to him in hunter stars, Rouke showed more confidence and a tone of superiority, he looked at Alex and asked.

"First, I would like to know what brings you to this dungeon. As far as I know, this dungeon is designated for the Blue Spirit Guild through a public contest held by the Hunters’ Association itself."

He stared at Alex sternly and continued speaking.

"Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about your presence, it’s just that this behavior isn’t common for the hunters’ association, invading a dungeon that belongs to a guild, unless there’s an irregularity, I ask"

Seeing that her leader wouldn’t even let Alex respond, Sarah had to intervene.

"Did the association send you to rescue us? Why was only a one-star hunter sent? Are there more association hunters in other corners of the dungeon?"

Alex gave Mrs. Sarah a positive look, unlike his leader, her questions were direct and really worth answering, he then looked at the lady and answered.

"I came to this dungeon by accident, I wasn’t sent by the association, so there’s no hunter from the association besides me."

Alex’s words came out calmly, but in the ears of the blue spirit guild, it sounded like a heavy sentence, Alex could see consternation on their faces.

"No one else came? Are you serious?"

Mrs. Sarah asked with concern in her eyes, Alex could only speak two words.

" I am really sorry"

"How is this possible? We’ve been stuck here for 10 days, and no one has been sent to rescue us."

Rouke’s voice came out like a boom

"10 Days, you’ve been here that long? How can that be?"

Alex’s questions were intercepted by an attentive lady.

"Why are you so surprised? If you ended up here by accident, you should at least know about it? Besides, as an employee of the association, you should know."

Alex thought for a moment before speaking.

"When I accidentally entered this dungeon, you guys had just entered, it was only two hours difference at most, and I wasn’t here for more than 4 days"

Everyone was surprised by Alex’s words.

"Now it makes sense, that’s why we can’t communicate with the guild and also why we don’t receive urination guidance through our chambers," Sarah said as she paced back and forth, thinking.

"If that’s the case, then there’s no point in waiting for a rescue." This time it was Tiffany who spoke, she said with regret in her eyes.

She sat on a rock and crossed her arms over her knees in thought.

"Leader, what do we do now?" Sarah looked at Rouke and asked with her hand scratching her temple, she then spoke again.

"Are we going to keep running until someone comes to our rescue? Or are we going to fight and die trying to clear this dungeon?"

"Fight those things? Are you crazy? You saw how many of us die and you still want to fight those monsters, do you even remember your urination?" Rouke spoke angrily.

"I know, but how long will we have to hide like rats? Our supplies are running out, if no one shows up to save us quickly we’ll end up dead, if we’re going to die, then let’s die fighting."

Seeing that the two’s discussion was going nowhere, Alex had to intervene.

"I don’t believe that yelling at each other will solve the problem at hand, quite the opposite, if the yelling continues we might be noticed and attacked by the spiders, you should calm down first"

Regarding the skill, Aura of Royalty Lv1, the two listened to Alex’s words, and then he asked,

"Can you tell me what you’ve been through in these 10 days? I’d like to know what we’re facing. I believe you already know the strengths and weaknesses of these spiders."
