CHAPTER 35: SHAMAL VS AMAZON

As the two groups were about to fight, a lonesome figure with a smirk on his face went forward, attracting everyone’s attention.

"It’s you!" Brown was the first one to recognize him, as his eyes burned with hatred.

"Yo! Long time no see, Young Master. Has your hole still intact?" Max greeted him with a smile, as he went to stand beside the Amazon Warriors.

Athena raised an eyebrow and asked, "Is this the guy you mentioned before?"

"He is, Miss Athena," Charlotte said, as she also joined them. "We were going to stand back but, seeing that he’s bothering you too, we came to support you. I’m a healer so I’m sure I can help you."

Athena’s eyes turned cold as she nodded, "Thanks! You gave me even more reason to slaughter them all."

"Aren’t you too arrogant, bitch?" the map holder guy, as Max called him, spat and said. "We have thirty people and you’re just twenty-one... heh, twenty-four if you count those useless bums."

"Did you hire him for doing your trash talk?" Max asked Brown, ignoring the map holder. "Because you seriously need to cut his pay; he’s terrible. Trash talk should make the other party angry, not amused."

Athena stopped whatever she was going to say and stared at Max in wonder. It was then that Charlotte came to her side and whispered, "He’s stalling to give you some time to recover. Leave it to him."

Athena’s eyes widened and she gave a grateful nod to her. Even when she was standing strong, she knew they were at a disadvantage so Max’s help was much needed.

Other Amazon Warriors also understood it, so they even supported Max.

Brown frowned and said, "You’re just a coward who only knows how to run your mouth. Get out of my face!"

"My mouth running brought me here," Max smirked as he spread his arms wide. "I’m surrounded by beautiful women and your almighty ass is surrounded by those ugly men."

[Is that a sexist joke?]

’No, they’re genuinely ugly!’

[That’s true!]

Surprisingly, Brown kept his calm as he just scoffed, "You’re trying to buy time for them, right? You think I’ll let it happen! Men! Prepare!"

"Damn! Bro is taking all of them at the same time? Rough play!" Max hissed in shock. "You have my respect, Young Master!"

Athena’s lips twitched, wondering if it was really a good idea to have this hooligan on their side. However, he was helping them so she stayed silent.

Others began to crackle at his words, as the Shamal Clan people began to get angry. How could they let someone insult their young master like that?

"You bastard! Why don’t you come forward and fight me instead of running that trash mouth?" a bald young man shouted at him.

Max stared at him with pitiful eyes and sighed, "Please! You’re the reason they put instructions on shampoo!"

"You bastard!!" the young man shouted in anger, as some bad memories flashed in his mind.

The surrounding people began to laugh at them. At first, they stayed just to watch their fight and maybe take some of the loot later.

But now, they were just watching everything for their entertainment.

"This guy..." Even Charlotte felt like hiding her face between her hands and getting away from him.

As the bald young man was tongue-tied, a young woman with rather big lips stepped forward in anger and pointed her finger at Max, "How—"

Max waved his hand, cutting her off, "I don’t take people seriously who suck more than a vacuum cleaner."

This time even Athena couldn’t control it and chuckled lightly, especially when she looked at the girl’s big lips. ’How is he coming with those so quickly?’

"Enough! We haven’t come here to lower ourselves to some beggar’s level!" Brown’s commanding voice sounded, as his gaze sent daggers to Max’s soul. "Just finish them all! I’ll shoulder the responsibility!"

"Haha! You’re really delusional!" Max laughed, slapping his thigh. "Just because this guy managed to shoulder his empty head, he thinks he can shoulder everything."

Brown was just about to say more but words choked in his mouth hearing that. He glared at Max as if he were his mortal enemy and shouted, "Whoever brings me his head will get Five Silver Rank skills."

This time it was Max’s turn to be surprised, as he pointed at himself and said, "Really? Me? Damn, I’m having high bounty!"

"It’s fine! Let us handle it now," Athena said, as she stepped forward while cracking her knuckles. "We are more than ready to crush them!"

"Can I get his head?" Max asked, smiling at her.

"If you think you’re strong enough to do that, then sure," Athena shrugged then turned towards Charlotte and Stelle. "Just support us later. As for you, do whatever you want."

Stelle jumped forward, sending a wink at Athena, "I’m Level 9 now so don’t worry!"

"Ohh!" Athena was surprised but didn’t say anything since they had more pressing matters to deal with.

The two groups stared at each other, as a silence enveloped the battlefield. Then, they launched themselves at each other, drawing their weapons to make the battlefield red with blood.

The majority of the participants were at Level 7 and Level 8; some were Level 9 but that was it. However, there was a problem.

Athena crashed against a middle-aged man with gray leather armour covering his body. He was the Silver Rank hunter of the Shamal Clan, sent to protect their young Master.

Under normal circumstances, he would have easily slaughtered all of the Amazon Warriors, but due to being on First Floor, his rank and skills were suppressed.

But even then, he was a threat who could demolish their group easily. Athena was worried about his presence but after Stelle joined them, her worries were lifted.

She could focus on killing the man before her while Stelle could replace her because of her strength.

"Haha! Little girl, get out of my way before I show you why I’m at Silver Rank," the hunter laughed arrogantly, as he kicked Athena’s sides, sending her tumbling away.

However, Athena quickly stabilized mid-air and came upon him like an unrestrained beast. Her eyes burned with mad fury as she grinned.

"Then, let me show you the way of Amazon!"
