Leveling Endlessly With My Harem
Chapter 83: Cautious
CHAPTER 83: CAUTIOUS
Max had wanted to make a whole new language, but discarded the idea because it was too much to efforts for a simple NovelBins.
Still, he had done a little bit of explanation for one language that was used in the start.
The Feysac Language.
It was the language of Founder of the Selero Empire, originating from a land far away from the Starhaven continent.
It was just a measure to expand the world later on, though that never happened because he died before actually doing things outside of the Starhaven continent.
As he listened to Charlotte’s explanation, he was elated on the development of the Language.
The Feysac Language had a total of 108 letters formed with different connecting characters. Every letter was unique and carried a different sound with it.
He also learned how a single letter was modified to represent tone, tense, etc.
The more she explained, the more Max felt happy that he didn’t bother diving too much in creating this language.
It would have surely taken him a lot of time to create it and most readers would have straight up ignored it.
’Well, atleast I can have some fans shouting words in that language, like ’Valar Moghulis’.’
[Pretty sure the spelling is wrong.]
"What are you two doing?"
Charlotte stopped hearing the confused voice behind her and smiled, "Congratulations!"
"Hehe!" Stelle grinned and jumped to sit between them and looked at the tablet.
"Oh, you don’t know how to read and write? But you..." Stelle stopped herself from speaking about her date with him.
"I have some ways to understand the language but it’s better to learn it," Max stood up and said to Charlotte. "We will continue it later on then. I’ll revise the stuff you have taught me."
Charlotte nodded and placed her tablet back in the space ring. It was the classic storage ring where one could store everything except living beings.
As for why she didn’t bring it in the First Floor, it had to do with the fact that accessing it needed mana and using mana in first two floor wasn’t easy.
Then, Charlotte gave Stelle her piece of meal while asking her about her recent level up. It had gone smoothly and Stelle was also now a Level 2, Silver Rank hunter.
Afterwards, they engaged in a normal conversation and during that Charlotte noticed Max looking around cautiously and got confused.
It was then it hit her as she asked, "You think the Shamal Clan will take their revenge?"
"They definitely will and Assassination is best in the Labyrinths," Max responded while still looking around.
’Harley managed to keep us safe in the outside world through her means, but it’s different in the Labyrinth. Shamal Clan is big and they can definitely afford to send a few Silver Rank Hunters after us.’
That was what worried Max, as they were still at the lowest of Silver Rank, while their enemies could be at the top.
In fact, he was sure they would be atleast Level 7 or Level 8.
The only thing that saved them was the fact that they entered through different portals do their location were far away from each other.
Then again, he would probably send people who specialize in Assassination so their speed would definitely be very high.
As these thoughts passed through Max’s mind, he realised that the sisters beside him were calling him for some time.
"Ah, sorry, I was just thinking of the places where we could farm without their interference," Max muttered. "We can’t go to Ebon Marshes."
"Huh? But didn’t we decide to head there?" Stelle asked in confusion.
"It was just a diversion. I’m sure the Shamal Clan must have planted some spies near you who might have even entered right after or before us to listen to our conversation," Max smiled.
Charlotte nodded, agreeing with his judgement, "Yes. Also, if we can think of this plan, then they can too. It’s pretty simple after all. Every team with a good healer farms at the Ebon Marshes."
Stelle blinked, dumbfounded.
"Wait! So you two were planning all of this without telling me?" She asked.
"More like she just understood my signals and played along. You didn’t, you dimwit," Max scoffed. "That’s also why we chose this location close to the start. They’ll search everywhere but the start."
Stelle grumbled to herself and kept her thoughts to herself, ’Sis is really amazing and their chemistry is also good. They understood each other without even communication.’
"The map you showed before... it’s flawed, right?" Charlotte asked, remembering the map he had drawn of the Third Floor.
"Yes, I’m not sure if I’m just being paranoid but I wanted to take everything into consideration, including the fact that those people some how sees or gets the map."
Max sighed.
"It isn’t entirely wrong though since I took the base map of the Third Floor to draw it. I just didn’t point out a few hidden locations and paths to other farming regions. We can use them now."
Stelle’s eyes lit up, "And they’ll still think we are following the map. Your whole idea is just to deceive then into running around till we get strong enough to face them."
"Yup, we can use short cuts too that would lead us to be present in far away location in a short time. It’ll confuse them, making them wonder if they’re following the right target."
Charlotte frowned and asked, "But how are you sure that nobody is watching us or hearing our conversation?"
"Well, I just am sure so don’t worry," Max smiled mysteriously at her, making her shut her mouth as she chose to believe him.
He clapped and said, "Now then we are done with our shit, we can move and begin farming for real. Remember, time is tight for us so we are going for stronger opponents or those in groups."
Seeing them nod, Max’s smile widened, "Alright, let’s go....after packing our stuff."
He sighed and then helped the sisters in packing their stuff including the rent once again.
This was one of the many problems with diving in the Labyrinths. One would need to constantly set up a camp to assimilate with the Mana Shards.
If they didn’t, the mana would leak out of the mana shards the more time passed.
And camping was a time consuming process, which slowed down team’s to speed run a floor or atleast a region.
This was the life of a hunter, which sadly didn’t mean just going straight to labyrinth and hunt to become invincible.
There were just too many variables.
After they were done with everything, they walked alongside the mountain wall in the opposite direction of the entrance portal.
Before long, they reached the Boundary where they were forced to stop.
"Woah! I’ve seen pics but it’s too beautiful in real," Stelle whispered under her breath, looking at the Towering wall of rainbow before her.
The Floors were not infinite in size and had a boundary which no one could break or bypass including those Grandmaster Rank Hunters of the Saint Lands.
The boundary itself was a towering translucent wall looking like it was made after collecting thousands of physical rainbow.
The seven colors shimmered on the boundary, giving a mesmerizing view that took away people’s breath.
Every hunter atleast came one time to see the Boundaries.
Of course, the boundaries also changed depending on the floor and their biome. For example, the boundary for first two floors was basically a rock wall that was no different than normal cave wall.
That was why third Floor was very famous as it was the first time hunters saw the boundary truly.
As someone who had already seen the Boundary before, Charlotte focused more on the question why Max brought them near the boundary?
"Max..."
"I know," Max smiled, finally looking away from the boundary and said. "We have a secret path here that leads to a nice farming location. Nobody has discovered it yet so it’s all for us."
She raised an eyebrow and looked around but couldn’t find any clue on where the the secret pathway could be located.
"If it was that easy then others would have discovered it long ago," Max said, as he went near the mountain wall.
It had grown smaller near the boundary but it was still pretty high. Max could climb it...
"The pathway is up there?" Stelle asked.
"Nope! It’s too obvious," Max shook his head. "My dear brat, there are whole teams solely focusing on the exploration of the Labyrinth. You think they’ll miss such an obvious hint?"
"Then, where is it?"
"Just wait and see."
Max stopped before the dry, jugged wall of rock and slowly went towards the boundary while having his hand on the rock’s surface.
He only stopped when he was very close to the section where the mountain met with the boundary.
He smiled seeing the familiar section.
"Found it!"
